Chapter 1: Almost Forgot!
Goooood morning wonderful citizens of Berkely! It's a beautiful day, so up and at 'em! And what better way to kick off the school year than with one of my personal favorites: Inner Ninja by Classified!
I woke up at the sound of the band's music filled my ears. I smiled sleepily, looking up at the ceiling, contemplating wether I should get up or not.
"Well, I guess I might as well see if I have anything today..." I mumbled, pushing myself into a sitting position.
I was still half asleep as I wandered over to my calender on my desk; I disregarded the things surrounding me.
I ran my finger across the page to the current day's date, realizing it had big, bolded letters written in the box for the coresponding day. It read:
MOVE IN DAY!!!
I stared at it for a moment, dumbfounded, until I rembered.
Today was the day.
We were going to the boarding school. I was instantly filled with energy as I grabbed the boxes and bags neatly stacked on my side of the room, glancing at the messy pile on the other that was my sister's. I chuckled and shook my head.
I noticed that she was already up and out of the room, so I quickly threw on the last set of clothes in my closet, rushing over to the mirror. I stand up a little taller, pulling my shoulders back and lifting my chin slightly. I offered myself a shy smile and pulled my hair into a neat ponytail.
The smell of pancakes wafted into the room and filled my nose. I tear myself away from the mirror and start walking towards the stairs that lead downstairs. I stop and stand at the top step, peeking in between the beams of the staircase. They lead right into the joined living and dining room.
From here, I can see the dining room table. There are mountains of plain, chocolate chip, blueberry, and banana nut pancakes. Eggs and bacon. Orange juice, coffee, toast, and a fruit salad. Mmmmmmm, chocolate.
I spot my aunt and uncle, sitting at the booth, drinking coffee.
"Good morning!" I say brightly, plopping down across from them.
I hear Anna and Punzie running down the stairs as they race for the TV remote. Punzie wins and holds it up in triumph until my aunt Primrose says, "No TV today, girls. We need to get there early so we can get you settled."
Both girls give a huff and an awww as they walk to the table, shoulders slumped. Their spirits lift quickly, though, as they notice the extravagant breakfast set before them.
As the adults start to ask us questions, I see Punzie start to sit up straighter and her eyes brighten. I look at her and shake my head, knowing exactly what's coming. But its too late.
"Eugene will be there!" She blurted out excitedly.
I groaned and held my head in my hands as my uncle, her father, narrowed his eyes at her. I knew full well that he didn't exactly like Eugene. I quickly finished my food and I saw that Anna had the same idea.
We finished in record time and Anna hopped out of her chair and pushed Punzie upstairs.
"Well, I think we should get ready." Anna said, before any words could come out of our uncle's mouth.
The rest of us nodded and ran upstairs. My aunt laughed and my uncle just looked puzzled.
Whew, that was close.
How was it? Hope it was okay. Next chapter should be out soon
If anyone actually likes it, I love you! If you don't, please help me out, don't be mean.
