I didn't see it coming
The ignorance, intolerance, influence
They caught the glare I gave.
As they taught each other to stare, taught, while all I did was wave.

Holy god all mighty,
Get me out of this completely utterly embarrassing, painful situation.
They saw me cry vulnerably with no validation.

Their smile of no remorse.
Lying, deceiving, denying, thieving.
Recklessly callow, and fearlessly shallow.

They took a bite of my beating heart.
They clawed at my soul, ripping my flesh apart.

Oh please lord, if you have mercy.
Let me free.
Please just give me some empathy.

And when all was said and done.
I knew there was no point to run.
So I lay there in silence, self-pity, violated.
A few moments later, I got up, walked home, and survived it all, alone.
