In life, we go through
Stages as we grow
We learn, perform
Express, take chances, get somewhere
Or don't

Using the emotional mind
Through my young life
Way to easily swayed
Bullied, treated like a doormat
I took everything to heart
Believed it all

As time progressed I learned
To analyze that they weren't right
That I was better than that
Going on a path to higher education
At first, it was just to show others
I could

At my current age
I listen to others
Help people, wanting friends to succeed
And I am doing everything
For myself
Because I am proud of myself
Those people's opinions
Don't matter

I went from fully emotional
To understandably reasonable
In order to
Stabilize to wise mind
