A random act of kindness
Should be uplifting for both parties
But it backfires when
The receiving party is downright rude

I did a lot of that recently
But one backfired yesterday
Which caused me triple the anxiety
I chose to leave
Not everyone knows how to be respectful Thankful towards others
Always be careful with acts of kindness,
Some people may not be proper recipients

I'm not here to manage you
You couldn't pay me enough
You know what
Mister
I didn't have to introduce you
To someone, I know

Who has gotten you
On TV
Among other things
I did that because I believed in you
Your message

I worked as a
Patent paralegal
For 2 years
Had over 5o international & domestic clients
I know a thing or two
About trademarks too

I've run groups
Like well-oiled machines
I have legal, business, and teaching
Backgrounds
I know people in many places

So if I'm taking time out
Of my day
Out of my health
To give you some advice
And you bite my head off

What do you think is going to happen?
I'm going to leave, mister.
I don't deserve that kind of treatment
After all, I did was show you kindness

I never asked anything in return
Because as I mentioned
I'm old school
I actually want people to succeed
Without wanting anything back

Accept kindness
Respect
Because that's all I've shown you
But you
Mister

Were rude, harsh, uncalled for
You have a lot on your plate?
Well no shit!
Many people do!
At least you're blessed to be healthy

I have a ton on my plate too
And I'm unwell
As you know my story
But I still manage to treat everyone
With respect

If someone offered me advice
And I was in your position
I would at the very least said
Thank you
Or
Can we talk about this at a later time?

So I walked away from you
Because I don't deserve that
I am allergic to drama
I have no time or patience for rudeness
Don't bite the hand that feeds you

Though you may never understand
Your error or care about it because
I'm just one person in your multi-million
People posse
I doubt I'll ever receive an apology
I truly hope no one else has to experience
What I did last night

Learn from your mistakes
Mister
And become better from them
Treat everyone who gives you their time
With respect

I am moving on as I have
So much more to do
I wish you luck and
