Instead of a typical poem....I will put my thought of the day up.

Thought of the day:

Today is a new day for our country. The inauguration of the 45th president of the United States. One chapter ends and another begins. It has been a hard road due to division and negativity. Whether or not you support the incoming presidency, I think personally that the best thing to do is to unite in peace and get behind him just like we've done every other president we've liked or didn't and will again in the future. Wanting him to fail will not benefit any of us. Just like Obama, Bush, or any other president before him.

I choose love over hate and I truly believe that he will succeed in doing great things for this country. That doesn't mean that people should stop having their voices heard, but he's not even in office yet so let's not get ahead of ourselves with what he cannot do. Violence is not the answer and solves nothing but shows savagery and immorality. We are better than that.

I refuse to write any negative things about the outgoing president because that's not who I am. He did his eight years and now he's moving onto his own new chapter. And I wish him and his family the very best.  Please choose love and let's all pray together that this next presidency will be one that this country truly deserves and needs.
