The trip was coming to an end
Time to fly home
But what's this?
A delay?
For how long?

Over 6 hours!
My goodness
A broken computer
Parts not flown in on time

Waiting for a plane to come
And switching out airports
Because poor LaGuardia has
A curfew like that of a teenager

Anxiety running rampant
Not wanting to stay
At the hotel
Just needing to go home

Delay
Will not make this trip bad
Anxiety won't ruin anything
Spoke with random people
From our flight

Our terminal was closed for the night
So people spread out literally
One guy fell asleep on the floor
Who could blame him?

They brought us sandwiches
Snacks
Drinks
And pizza

Mom and I hadn't slept
Most of the night before and
Couldn't on the flight either

My leg was very sore
Could hardly walk
But still determined to
Not let the experience
Over shadow the amazing trip

Delay or no delay
Plus turbulence
We got into our house
By 5 am

Safe
Sound
Sleepy
And the trip
Was worth it all
