Ability to concentrate
To do work
Get around

Memory loss
Brain fog
So many different aspects
Of a person transformed

Most of which one cannot
Get back
It is something to
Mourn
To get used to

When studying
Meeting new professors
The key factor is to let them know
Make them understand

I have an illness
It's incurable
Untreatable
It has given me
Brain damage

Amongst other things
Please be patient with me
Explain to me again what I need to know

I have made peace with it
But many haven't
It takes time
Support
Understanding

And of course
A day at a time
