Queen in Shadows
Shadows were covering her pale skin
While she sat upon her throne,
Darkness running along her body,
Carrying the memories of the hands of others
On her skin.
Others who weren't the Ghost.
She had told the Ghost to go,
Because the world,
Their world,
Was about to die.
But right now, she was the one
Suffocating.
Her crystal cage
Was turning into a poisoned trap
Where there was no way in for light.
Take a deep breath, she tried to tell herself.
Because it might be the last.
But it wasn't.
Each time, there was just enough air
So that she could breath with pain,
In pain,
And that, no one knew it.
No one knew the shadows that scared her were already here,
Even less the men who pretended to love her.
Well, these ones didn't even care about her.
They were nothing,
No ones,
Merely soul-less bodies,
Maybe Shadows, like everything else.
Dana knew that Shadows were everywhere.
She was scared, so scared.
Why had she let the Ghost go?
She needed him to come back.
She needed him so much.
Dana was much more terrified of being left alive with the Shadows
Than dying with the comforting light of her Ghost.
Why had she told him to go?
She touched her crown, and her finger slipped on a sharp edge.
She looked at her hand.
She was bleeding.
