Heyo, back at it again with another chapter. This chapter involves present day Devin Ying and the beginning of the school year at UA. Starting with the Entrance Exams. Hope you will enjoy it.

"But that was two years ago..."

Devin Ying rode on his motorcycle after coming to Japan from China on a passenger boat. For two years, he was on the run as well as training himself on his quirks. His Yin quirk developed very quickly for his age; however, the Twisted Light quirk, Yang was slightly difficult. Devin wasn't used to the defensive power the Yang quirk provided being raised on offensive strictly. But he self taught the quirk in due time.

"Only a couple of miles to Musutafu," Devin said revving the bike on the winding, lone forest road. He smiled slightly enjoying the breeze through his hair. The hair was now dark blue but could change depending how much power was surging through him. He exits the forest seeing a grand city as his smiled the scarf flowing freely in the wind with Devin lean slightly going on a winding descent down the cliffside.

After a while, Devin enters the portside of Musutafu, Japan smelling the sea air as he sighs happily. He turns down a street slowing down slightly as he pulled out the letter of invitation allowing him to attempt the Entrance Exams at UA. Reading the address, Devin nods putting the letter up into his jacket as he smiles. Stopping at a four way, Devin notices a younger male with black hair with spots of green wearing a light blue track suit as he sprinted down the street. Devin quickly revvs the motor rushing down the street stopping ahead of the male.

"Need a lift?" Devin asks as the male stopped looking at him. His body tenses up then began shaking nervously.

"U-Uh..." The male was still as Devin sighed getting off pulling the scarf to where his mouth showed. Devin had more definition to his facial features after two years. His eyes were dark blue as they stared at the male.

"My name is Devin Ying, what's yours?" Devin Ying said as the male stopped shaking growing slightly confident.

"I-Izuku M-M-Midoriya," Izuku said nervously causing Devin to snicker.

"Not a social person?" Devin said as Izuku nodded. Devin climbed back onto the bike looking at Izuku, "Need a ride? I'm heading to UA."

Izuku's face brightened up with satisfaction as he nodded.

"I'm also heading there too," Izuku responded climbing behind Devin and held on tightly nervously. Devin released the break as the bike lurches forward talking off. Devin held on as his body went to nervous break down in two seconds. Devin; however, drove slow to keep Izuku calm. After a few minutes, the pair arrived at the prestigious UA school. Dismounting, the two males rushed towards the gates where nineteen other children were waiting. After a bit of running, Devin slid to a stop while Izuku slid and slipped falling towards the ground. However, before Devin could catch him, Izuku stopped falling as a girl had her hands together at the finger tips apparently the one who stopped Izuku from falling.

"You're welcome and good luck," the girl said as Izuku fell onto the ground gently. Izuku was speechless as he simply nodded and joined the rest of the teenagers. Devin noticed a couple of normal teens but the unique ones stood out to Devin the most. There was a girl with pink skin and blacked out eyes giving her a very hot extraterrestrial appearance wearing casual clothes. A girl with headphone jacks as earlobes which kinda fascinated Devin a bit. And a chick who was invisible. Well, from the voice it was a girl.

"Interesting embodiments of quirks," Devin said as a male with yellow hair in a single pointed mohawk fashion walked up. His clothes told Devin he was an announcer of some kind and his voice further proved that.

"Welcome to UA heroes and heroines of tomorrow," the male said using his quirk to project his voice, "The Entrance Exams are what stand between you and learning the great knowledge of being a hero!"

The last sentence was delivered with such impact that it caused the teens to be shoved back slightly by the sound wave. Devin was back away where the sound wave didn't reach him but was close.

"Oh sorry," The male said, "My name is Present Mic. One of the teachers here at UA as well as one of the overseers of the Exam. The exam consists of a practical exam and a written exam. The goal of the practical is to defeat Villians and get a bunch of villian points."

The teens nodded as Devin had a frown on his face. There's usually a catch to these exams as Devin went through several physical endurance exams and usually there was a catch. He was hasty but didn't show it. The students were lead to several arenas where students were placed randomly due to some being from the same middle schoolers. Devin handed Present Mic the letter as he read it.

"You must be the Walker Among Shadows," Present Mic said frowning slightly, "Your parents contributed so much to protecting us in the past before they relocated themselves. We hope you find peace with us if you qualify."

"Thank you sir for having me," Devin said, "Which group will I be placed with?"

"With Izuku Midoriya or Deku as another calls him," Present Mic said before finding Izuku and several others in a city replica.

"Hey Devin!" Izuku screams running over, "You got placed with my group. Hope we get to see what your quirk is."

Meanwhile, inside the school. Several teachers watched the live feeds seeing the conversation between Devin and Izuku.

"Is that...?" A male with long black hair and disheveled face making him seem like he didn't get enough sleep said staring at the screen. A male with concrete skin sat next to him as other teachers watched the screens.

"Appears so Mr. Aizawa," The concrete male said nodding, "the last Yin child is here."

"Actually, the last Yin and Yang child, Cementoss," a small creature said as he and a very muscular built man walked into the room.

"Hmm... Young Devin Ying has made an appearance and plans on attending UA!" The male said enthusiastically, "As well as Young Midoriya!"

"Precisely All Might," the creature said getting into a chair and drink his tea, "Now, let's begin."

Everyone was talking to each other except for one who was ready for action. After a while, the whole replica began shaking as robotic villians appeared being different in structure. However, the main difference of them was the yellow number on a piece of armor. A yellow 1, 2, or 3 marked the villians. Devin concluded that these were the robots they were supposed to destroy. A loud fog horn sounded as the teens began destroying bots left and right. The girl from before touched the bots and levitated them into the air before slamming them into the ground. A male who had a ridiculous large gemstone where his navel should be began firing lasers at the bots. The male that was more unsocialized used explosions to destroy some bots.

Devin noticed robots coming towards him and Deku as Deku got scared quickly. Devin stood his ground watching the bots noticing about a third having ones, a third having twos, and the last third having threes on them. Devin's left arm sparks up as Deku went wide eyed.

"Y-your arm?!" Deku said as Devin chuckled flexing it.

"I know... Black Burning!" Devin roared launching a black and purple orb of dark energy from his left hand as it struck the two robots in front. However, Devin held his hand up with the explosion stilling, "Condense."

The blast condenses with Devin's hand closing into a fist. He notices the robots pausing before the blast.

"Should've moved," Devin said, "Dark Cannon!"

Devin's hand extended unfolding and making a straight line with his arm. The blast shot out in a beam style destroying the rest of the bots coming towards them.

"W-Woah..." Deku was wide eyed and in awe. Sure, inheriting All Might's quirk was an honor but after watching someone who demonstrated control and not be a native of Musutafu gave Isuku a new confidence.

After a while...

Izuku was unable to get any points as Devin and everyone else is able. The teens were slightly tired but the teachers had another plan as one pressed a button. The whole arena shook as gigantic robots began appearing. The male who used explosions began tearing up bots smirking. However, others began protecting others while destroying the massive bots. Deku notices the girl who helped him before trapped underneath rubble as a robot proceed towards her. Seeing this caused Izuku to gain more confidence as he rushed over to help the girl.

"It's no use..." The girl said noticing robot nearing them, "Run Izuku!"

Deku's eyes widen thinking slightly as he looked down. He stood up looking at his hand letting it closed into a fist. Green electricity appeared as Deku jumped into the air towards the robot. Being at it's head, Deku launches a fist at it showing a new level of confidence. Deku's fist crashes into the robot causing the robot's head to explode. However, Deku's legs broke as well as the arm used to attack. He planned on using his quirk to save himself but couldn't. But the girl quickly used her quirk to save Deku placing him on the ground. However, the celebration was short lived when another robot appeared coming towards the pair.

"N-No," Deku said using his body as a shield for the girl. The robot launched its massive arm towards the duo as the pair closed their eyes preparing for the inevitable. However, the pair heard the robot's arm grinding against something as Deku opened his eyes noticing Devin in front of them with his right arm up and a white shield with a black dot in the center blocking the arm.

"D-Devin?!" Deku said surprised. Devin growled dropping to one knee holding back the arm. His white shirt was covered in blood by cuts from his Yin quirk's downside as well as bruises from using the Yang quirk which he attempted to keep hidden but now was in the open.

"You have two quirks?" The girl said as Devin nodded, "Are you... The Walker Among Shadows?"

"Seems like that name appears everywhere," Devin said struggling as his blue hair levitated slight changing into the black in his left and white on his right, "Heave Ho!!!!"

Devin shoves his body up causing the gigantic robot to stagger back. Devin roared as his body was covered in a dark energy. He raises his left arm using his right arm as support.

"YIN CANNON!!!!" Devin roars launching a black beam using the energy that covered his body as it rushed through the center of the robot. Deku and the girl were impressed as the beam disappears. Devin panted before an X-shaped cut appeared on his chest causing Devin to lose consciousness.

"Devin!!!!" Deku and the girl screamed. All Might appeared with several teachers helping the students out. All Might walked over getting the rubble off of the girl as well as picking up Deku walking over to Devin.

"Young Devin Ying of the Avaine Clan," All Might said as Deku's eyes widen.

"He's the last survivor?" Deku asks as All Might picked Devin up.

"And he is the strongest among his clan," All Might said carrying the successor of One For All and Last Avaine Warrior to Recovery Girl. After this, he changes back to his normal appearance walking over to talk with the teachers.
