-----Chapter 2----

Here we go.

Sanjana pov:

Time changes everything. Even me. These six years taught me a lot. I learned about myself, learned about betrayal, learned about heartbreak. Everyone says it will pass. The pain will pass but I don't know when it will pass. The clouds are roaring and it's raining cats and dogs. I don't like unexpected changes in life even this rain. I looked at the watch and it was 11:00 PM. Damn!! When will I reach home? I just want to kick Reyan's ass for giving me this much work.

I started working as an interior designer for Rosewood Hotels and resorts. It's been two years yet I don't feel bore. We have a lot of branches in the world and Reyan

is the head of this branch in Humburg. I don't regret working under him because he teaches me a lot of new things. He turned into my friend too. My phone started ringing breaking my thoughts. It was Cami.

"Hey!! Where on the earth are you?" she asked as soon as I picked up the call.

"Office" I said in a low voice due to the tiredness. I just want to crash the bed as soon as possible.

"What are you still doing there?" she asked again.

"Cami, I can't talk to you right now. You completed your work and you left. I still have some pending works to do. I should submit by tomorrow or else Reyan will throw me from the top floor" I said in one go. Yeah, Cami also works for Rosewoods.

"You know? There is no need for you to work for a company when you own one" she said. I know she must be rolling her big emerald eyes.

"Stop it, darling. I don't want to depend on my father. I can earn myself" I stated and she signed off.

"Come fast. I'll be waiting for you" she said and I hung the call. I walked towards the coffee maker to get some coffee for myself. I had my coffee and got back to my work. I should submit the new designs for our new branch in London. Reyan was very clear about it that he needs the designs by tomorrow. I completed the designs by 4:00 Am. Damn Jackson!! I scolded him in my mind. I mailed him the designs and decided to take leave. The climate is much better than previous night.

I went to the parking lot and hopped into my car. I started my ride back to home. The climate is so beautiful and the smell is so fresh like the first rain on the earth. Though, I was tired I decided to take a ride to beach. I reached the beach and hopped down. I covered myself with my jacket and leaned on the car's bonnet.

The sounds of the waves started to do music in my ears. I felt like the tiredness vanished away. I pulled the jacket close to me as it's damn cool. I inhaled the fresh air and looked the stars above me. They are shining like a diamond jewels. A smile came on my face as I felt alive after a long time. I looked at the time and it was 6:00. Few more hours for the sun to light our lives. I started walking on the streets and the shops were still closed.

I went back to my car and patiently waited for the sun raise. There he is, raising slowly from the bottom of the ocean. I walked towards the shore and looked at him. A happy smile came on my face after seeing the sun. I went back to the car and decided to go home. I checked my phone and I have missed calls and texts from Cami. She is so paranoid about me. I thought and called her.

"Cami!!" I said as soon as I heard her sleepy voice.

"Where are you? Still in the office" she asked yawing.

"Hm... Beach. Watched the sun raise and now heading to home" I said throwing my jacket into the car.

"You are an idiot. Who on the earth will go to the beach when the climate is bad?" she asked.

"Of course me. Okay bye. I'll be there in an hour" I said and hung the car. I hopped into the car and started riding to my home. I turned the music player on and changed the gear. Suddenly, my eyes fell on the bouquet shop. I saw a lot of daisy flowers at the entrance. My flashback started running in my head. Damn!! Sanjana don't spoil your day. I thought but closed my eyes.

Soon I reached my home and I saw Cami watching TV. I walked towards and collapsed next to her.

"You came?" she asked crunching nachos.

"What are you still doing here? You should go and check on your boy friend" I said making myself on the sofa. She lives here with me but at times she stays with Alex.

"I know that but I'm waiting for you to come" she said smiling. Alex is so lucky to have Cami in his life. She is so caring and lovely.

"Between I took a day off today. I'm planing to go out with Alex" she said with full excitement.

"Will you join us?" she asked to which I nodded my head in no. How can disturb the couple? Moreover, I'm hell tired and I need to sleep.

"I need rest, Cami" I said and got up from the sofa.

"Please, baby" she pleaded me with her sweet voice. Drama Queen!! I thought and rolled my eyes.

"Listen, I don't want to be a potato between you both. So please don't force me" I said and marched to my room. I took a quick shower and headed to my bed. I took my pills and crashed it.

I got up again at 3:00 Pm and checked my phone if there are any missed calls. Yeah, Reyan called me few times. I decided to talk to him so I dialed him. He probably will say the flaws in my designs and orders me correct them. I thought.

"Hey Reyan!!" I greeted him walking towards the kitchen.

"Where is your phone?" he asked with some authority in his voice.

"Sorry for that. I kept my phone in silent" I uttered my words.

"Why?" he asked. Oh!! I need some sleep man. I told him in my mind.

"Um.. Sorry" I said as I don't know what to reply.

"Okay, coming to your designs" he started. Come on Reyan. Tell me my mistakes. I thought.

"They are amazing" he said shocking me.

"What?" I asked him again as I didn't expect him to say that.

"You did a great job, Sanjana. Your designs are just amazing" he said and that brought a smile on my face. This is the first I heard him saying this. He praised me and I'm proud of my work.

"Thanks Reyan" I said smiling and he hummed. There is a few minutes of silence between us.

"So what your plans for the evening?" he asked.

"Nothing actually. Cami went out with her boy friend and I'm alone so I will watch a movie" I said thinking about which movie to watch.

"Mind if I join you? I'll give you good company" he said. No Reyan, I don't have any interest in your company. I thought and decided to reject his offer.

"Actually we can go out for dinner. You did a great job and let me appreciate you" he said without letting me speak.

"Is this a professional or " I was searching for the words.

"You take it as a professional dinner while I take it as a date" he said to which I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not interested Reyan, Sorry" I said and I know that I disappointed him. I hung the call and made some coffee for myself. Why is he showing interest in me? My damn phone is ringing again. It was Cami.

"Hey!!" I said with little frustration.

"What happened?" she sounded with concern and I narrated the entire incident to which she shouted.

"Are you serious? He is our boss and you rejected him. You are damn mad" she said.

"Yeah I'm" I said in a low voice.

"Sanjana, why are you still hanging on your past?" she asked shocking me. Am I? I questioned myself.

"Listen, you are the one who is not letting it pass. Do you still feel for him?" she asked.

"Nope" I gave a one word answer.

"See, you don't love him then why are you not allowing other men in your life?" she asked and I muted my mouth.

"You are scared" she said after sometime and I didn't even realize my tears.

"Everything happens just for a reason. He came into your life to teach you heartbreak and he got succeeded in it. Now it's your turn to teach him something. You should let go of your past and start a new life" she said in one go.

"I'll call you later" I said and hung the call. What's happening to me? Why am I sounding weak? Why am I crying for him? I wiped my tears and inhaled fresh air.

I should let go. I should forget him. I should start a new life. I thought.

"It will pass. It will pass" I said to myself and picked my phone. I decided to go out with my boss.

"Hey!!" I said as soon as I heard his voice.

"Are you okay?" he asked as my voice is little dull.

"Yeah, I'm good. Listen, I'm sorry for my previous behaviour. I shouldn't have talked like that" I said.

"No problem. So you coming out with me?" he asked and I hummed.

"Professional or like a date?" he asked.

"You take it as a date while I take it as a professional dinner" I said smiling.

"Be ready by 7:00 PM. I'll pick you up" he said and I hung the call.
