My heart beat faster as I studied his face. Dark curls quivered around his very round face. "I wish I could stay. Leader Nashat requested me. Kerson, here are 3 leaves of yllis for Lana. Stay with her until her regen is complete."

Our purple friend nodded. 

I let go of Din's twin-fingered hand. Gotta be brave. No trip to healers for me, yet. His eyes stayed dark, but I longed to see them go light blue as he looked at me. Dark like the anguish on his face. "When I return, we lift."
