Chapter Four:Mine
    I gasp "sora why he's married" he rolls his eyes at me and he says "she's cheating on him they are getting a divorce" I slap his leg and say "you home wrecker what if they try to work it out?" he laughs and hits my leg "wait I am not a home wrecker for two reasons one she had her affair first and two they won't work it out because there's just one problem".

I roll my eyes he doesn't actually believe he's gonna divorce her "she's a lesbian" I gasp and say "what? xion? a lesbian my god everyone is turning gay" sora laughs and he continues on "she's having an affair with the red headed nurse up at the clinic I don't know what her name is though".

I lean back and then I think oh my god kairi? axel's younger sister works at that clinic and I say "well this is great and I have to take braelyn to his house next weekend for visitational" sora nodds at me and I say "well I'm beat from today I'm gonna go crawl into bed with my baby" sora smiles at me and I crawl into bed next to braelyn and fall asleep.

~Next Friday~
I buckle braelyn up in her carseat and go to axel's house so she could spend the weekend with him and I grab her overnight bag and she runs to the door and she knocks axel opens the door and she attacks him in a hug and she says "hi daddy".

He lifts her up and he says "hi my baby girl" I crack a smile and then declan comes out of the door and hugs me and he says "can you stay for alittle while?" I shake my head and say "sorry bub but remember next weekend me and you and braelyn gonna go skating alright?".

He smiles and I wink at him and I get down at eye level with him and he hugs me and he whispers in my ear "love you mommy" I smile he just melted my heart and I whisper back "I love you to my baby boy" he giggles and axel says "give moma kisses".

Braelyn leans over and she puckers her lips and I kiss her and then declan leans up with his lips puckered and about that time larxene pulled up in her car and I lean down and kiss him and when I walk down the sidewalk braelyn says "bye moma" and then I hear declan say as I open my car door "bye moma".

I smile and I blow both of them kisses those were my babies and axel walks inside with the kids and then I see larxene bump on my window I roll it down and she says "ok listen what you and axel had is over and done with he's mine now and declan is my son whether you like it or not".

I laugh and I say "larxene I know that our ship sailed long ago braelyn is his daughter same way declan is his son and if you call one of my kids a brat again your gonna have me to deal with braelyn and declan are my children and if you lay one finger on them you better pray to god I don't find you".

She giggles and says "glad we have a understanding I don't care if you drop braelyn off for your annual weekend but keep your paws off my man and declan is not your son" I giggle and say "whatever he isn't worth my time and since I made a promise to demyx that I would watch over declan and axel well guess what blondie I'm not going anywhere".

I roll up my window and wait for her to move she backs away and walks behind my car I drive off what made her think I wanted axel all I want is for him to have a relationship with braelyn thats all I want she better not touch any of my kids though.

~One Year Later~
Braelyn was turning six today and I was still decorating outside it was just a few of her friends that she met at school and xigbar and hayner and everyone was there xion and riku's divorce was final and I was right she was with kairi and riku and sora were stronger than ever.

I smile as I bring out the cake that had olaf and elsa on it and when I light the candles I see axel recording it and I stand next to him and him and larxene was still together and hayner stands next to me and he puts a hand on my waist.

I was shocked at first but then I relaxed in his touch as I watch axel sit down with larxene in his lap and hayner whispers "he doesn't deserve you" I gasp and I look over at hayner and I watch braelyn blow out her candles and we sing happy birthday and declan says "come on sissy lets open up your presents".

I giggle he had started calling her sissy a few months ago and when she opens up her presents it was mostly frozen stuff axel got her a frozen bicycle and I got her the frozen elsa dress and an olaf plushie and she loved it and braelyn says "thank you mommy" she runs and hugs me and then she runs to axel and says "I love my bike daddy".

He lifts her up and she kisses him and he says "I'm glad you like it baby" axel walks over to me and he says "uh is it ok if I get her a few hours declan he wants her to come over" I smile and nodd and say "yeah thats fine".

He smiles and I say "brae baby go get your overnight bag in case you change your mind alright?" she nodds and runs inside and then when I was cleaning up the yard and I strap braelyn and declan in there seats and I say "okay baby I love you alright?".

They smile at me and declan says "I love you mommy" I smile and I say "I love you too son and my little sunshine" I tickle her and she giggles and I kiss her on the forehead and then declan and when I go inside and a few minutes passes by and I got this god awful feeling.

I don't know why but a few minutes goes by sora and riku had already left to go home and then a hour passes by I sit on the couch tired of the day and my dad and mom was still here so was xigbar and hayner and then I get a call off of axel's phone and I answer it and then I hear "mommy? help me she's gone out of control she has sissy don't hurt her please".

I gasp oh my god it's declan "declan whats going on who are you talking about?" he's still crying on the other end and he says "its larxene moma daddy is uncontious and I can't wake him up mommy she has sissy and is leaving with her I can't wake daddy up mommy" the line goes dead and I say "get to axels house call riku".

I had tears streaming down my cheeks and I jump in my car and I say "don't worry baby mommy is coming" I drive all the way to axels and I pull up in the yard and I run inside and I holler for declan but he is nowhere to be seen and I see axel on the floor knocked out and I try to wake him up and I see his eyes open and he see's me over him and then he panic's "where's declan and brae?".

I had tears streaming down my cheeks and I say "larxene she has them why did she knock you out?" he gasps and he says while trying to raise up "I was breaking up with her I wanted us to have our family" I started tearing up and I hear the sirens approaching and riku hollers for me and xigbar and hayner run in and I help axel up and riku says "you ok man?" axel nodds and he says "listen she has our kids riku".

Riku nodds as I walk him to the ambulance to check out his head wound he had a giant gash on his forehead and he was just a flesh wound it was deep enough for stitches and riku says "is there a place where she would go? roxas why are you here?".

I look at riku and say "declan called me on axel's phone and was bawling and wait a minute check and see if his phone is in the house if its not declan still has it track his cell" riku runs inside and doesn't see it so he tracks his phone and its sitting at the clock tower we hop in the police car and drive to the clock tower and I jump out of the car and I hear screams "MOMMY HELP US".

I look up and see braelyn and declan on the edge of the clock tower dangling by a piece of rope I cover my mouth with my hand I start crying "oh my god" I start to run towards the stairs but riku holds me back and I say "its okay my babies" I bawl and I feel hands around I see its axel and he holds me and I say through sobs "my babies my poor babies".

Axel kisses my head and holds me tightly and riku and the rest of the P.D pull out there vests and strap them on and I keep hearing there screams and cries "HELP US DADDY MOMMY I'M SCARED" I bury my head in axels chest and sora runs to me and he rubs my back and he says "riku will get them I promise" and before they move I hear larxene scream "SEND UP THE BITCH WHO STOLE AXEL FROM ME".

I look up at her and I say "LET MY KIDS GO" she snickers and I walk over to riku but axel tries to stop me and then riku says "your not going roxas we are" riku and the rest of the p.d walk up the stairs and riku see's she has a gun in her hand and he says "larxene come on I know you don't wanna scare these kids" she giggles and says "I could care less what happens to these kids they aren't mine".

Axel wraps a hand around my waist thank god he was here to keep me contained and calm but I see riku shoot larxene in the leg she drops the gun and he handcuffed her in the front and he pulls braelyn and declan up and riku carries braelyn and xigbar grabs declan yeah he was a deputy sherriff now and as they put them on there feet braelyn runs straight to axel while declan runs to me and he was bawling and he says "mommy I love you".

I start bawling too and I say "its okay baby mommy has you" axel grabs both of us and we all hug each other and braelyn and declan in the middle and when I was putting the kids in the back of the car I forgot to thank riku but as I walk towards him.

He was putting larxene in the squad car and aparentley when they checked her she had a gun in her boot and before riku could react I gasp and right as she fired the gun axel pushed me out of the way and the bullet hit him instead I run over to her and I kick the gun out of her hand and I hit her one good one in the nose and I hear braelyn crying I grab her and declan and I scream "call an ambulance".

~At The Hospital~
Everyone was waiting to hear about axel as soon as we got here they rushed him into surgery the bullet hit in his torso area still no update its been at least two hours.

I was waiting ansiously hayner was rubbing my shoulder and the kids they were staying with me and then the docter walks out and I hear him say "axel's family" we all stand up and I step forward to the docter and braelyn and declan next to me and he asks "and you are?".

Wait a minute what am I? and I say "I'm roxas his friend" the docter shakes his head and says "I can only reveal this to family" I gasp and kairi steps up "I'm his sister" he nodds and he says while looking around at us and she says "you can say it in front of them" he nodds and says "the bullet nearly pierced his heart well we removed the bullet and stitched everything up and he lost alot of blood but he should be fine he has a couple bruised ribs too" he's gonna be ok thank god and I ask "when can we see him?".

He meets my gaze and he says "only one of you for now but the rest of you can visit him tomorrow morning during visiting hours he's in room 813" kairi looks over to me and nodds like go ahead and I tell braelyn and declan and I walk down the long hallway and I finally found his room and I open the door and I see him asleep.

I smile as I walk over to him and I sit in the chair next to his bed I grab his hand and I say "thank you for being there today I was a mess and you kept holding onto me keeping me calm and never letting me go and I'm sorry for keeping her from you its just your band career just started to take off and knowing you would drop everything and be with me but one plus thing came out of that if I had told you about braelyn then you would had stayed and then you wouldn't had ended up with demyx and declan wouldn't had been born and to me thats worth it and I love you so much".

I feel him squeeze my hand and then I see his eyes open and he says "I forgave you a long time ago" I giggle and wipe away the stray tears from my eyes and he says "I love you too my roxy".

I smile he brings my hand to his lips and I say "don't ever do that again I knew you loved me but not that much what if we had lost you then declan would have neither of his parents" he smiles and he says "when you love someone you protect them".

I smile and he asks "where's the kids?" I smile as I see braelyn and everyone outside the window my dad had braelyn and she had her face against the window while xigbar was holding declan and braelyn waves and I say "there right outside braelyn she's waving at you".

He giggles as he tries to raise up but I say "easy" he removes his hand from mine and then he waves at them and I mouth "he's okay" braelyn blows both of us a kiss same for declan I blow one back at them and axel says "make sure declan goes home with you" I nodd and I lean over and kiss his forehead and I say "don't worry our kids will be fine" .

I wink at him and he smiles as I start to walk out of the door and I say "get some sleep alright we will be here in the morning when you wake up" he smiles at me as I walk out of the door and me declan and braelyn head home as I put both of the kids in my bed and before I leave I kiss both of there cheeks and I say "I love both of you".

They both smile at me and declan asks "mommy are we a family now?" I smile at that question and I say "yes baby we are all of us me daddy and you guys" they smile and braelyn says "I love you mommy" I just loved being called mommy and I think would demyx be proud of me? about being the mom for declan.

He was a good mom for him but would demyx approve of me and I say "and I love you" as I stand up and walk out of my room and walk down the stairs and I see everyone still here and I sit next to my mom and dad and then I ask as I look at xigbar and riku and hayner "would demyx be proud of me? for being the mom that declan deserved?".

Cloud rubs my shoulders and riku smiles and xigbar says "he would be" I smile at xigbar and I say "and like you said xiggy if I told axel in the beginning about braelyn then we wouldn't have declan and thats worth it".

Leon smiles and when everyone goes home I got in bed next to my kids and the next morning we woke up about 9:30 and went to the hospital to see axel and when I walk with the kids both of them holding my hands while we crossed the parking lot and when we got to his room we walked in and seen him asleep.

I shh to the kids and I sit them in my lap while I sit in the chair and when he wakes up he smiles at me and braelyn says "Hi daddy" he breaks in that smile we all know so well and he says "hi my babies".

He raises his bed up so he could see us and I sit the kids on the bed and I say "be careful ok?" they both nodd and declan held his head low and axel asks "whats wrong son?" he still held his head low and he says "I broke my promise" I looked confused at him and axel says "no you didn't buddy".

He nodds not believing axel and he says "I told you I would always protect you and sissy and moma" he touches declan's cheek and he started crying bless his heart that boy was the most presious seven year old I knew and axel says "buddy you don't have to protect me ok? I did this to teach you kids that when your loved one is in trouble you do everything in your being and soul to help them and save them and keep them safe its my job to keep all three of you safe and I did a good job at doing that didn't I?".

Declan starts crying even more and he says "I don't wanna lose you daddy you and braelyn and mommy are the only one's I have left" axel had tears down his cheeks and I see braelyn start crying also and I say "declan your not gonna lose us I promise we are not gonna leave you" he smiles over at me and he hugs axel and braelyn says "too much crying bub" declan giggles and axel winks at me I smile and he grabs my hand and declan asks "and can we be a family now?".

I grin and look at axel and he breaks out in a smile and he asks "what do you say? wanna give this another try?" I smile and I lean in and kiss him on the lips and then I hear declan and braelyn say "ewww" I start laughing while kissing him and when we break the kiss axel says "eww huh?" he puts his arm around me and I whisper in his ear "does that answer your question?" he giggles and then he whispers back "you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that".
