"Why aren't you inviting many?" Haechan pouted at Mark.
"Why do need an extravagant wedding when all I want for valentine's is Haechan?" Mark smooched the pout away as he did his push ups as Haechan under him for kisses.
"You are cheesy. Do you know that?" The red head had stuck his tongue out, hugging the older so he'd collapse on his body.
"Cheesy just for a phat Teddy Bear." Mark had chuckled, his small teeth showing his head thrown back with laughter.
"Will you have to leave again?" The younger butterfly kissed the olders lips.
"If they called. I must. It's going be okay Sunshine. I'll come back once it's over." He promised.
They were married before friends and family, in private embraces, of long loved people's. Haechan was the happiest that day and the loudest that night. The others teased him for being spotted with bites of love, their embarrassment too long, until everyone left, and they had their honeymoon at home, for times weren't safe to wander out by themselves.
"You are going to be a father."
That phrase set Mark over the moon, he beyond happy, he wouldn't stop talking about it for weeks, he kept mumbling about his wife being pregnant for weeks.
"I have to go back Teddy."
Haechan cried all day and night, he tried to distract himself from thinking of it but he ended up crying again. The day Mark left, they had kissed so much, having made love all night, but it still wasn't enough, the passion seemed more stronger than intimacy.
"Wait for me."
Was the last line Mark had ever said before he passed through the terminal and that was the last day Haechan ever saw his husband again. The Navy office left in his handsome white uniform, leaving his wife and baby, his small family, promising to come back.
"Miley!! Drink your milk darling!" Haechan called his granddaughter but she was asleep on the couch with her panty.
"Baby Spark wake up now." Haechan patted her small soft butt.
"Umm.......Me no wanna. Milly sheepy grandma." Miley pouted but Haechan gave a cute strawberry milk bottle as he rocked her in his arms until she would fall asleep.
"Is she troubling you Mommy?" Nana came home just then, with a stack of letters following.
"No! He's a darling." Haechan squealed when he saw Nana instantly hugging the male.
"Read these whilst I tuck spark in bed." Nana gave the older the letters and left Haechan in his own private space.
Haechan locked himself inside his room, as he slipped down his door, staring at the battered letters that were found thrown under a heap of old stocks. With shivering fingers he opened one yellow letter.
Dearest Sunshine,
Have you been well my darling? It's been so hard to cope but I'm doing as I can, I'm injured, well they shot my plane again, I think of you when the sun rises, wondering why my Teddy Bear hadn't written to me at all. I hope you are well, I can't write alot since it's my right arm that got a bullet through. How is my little baby? Is it a girl? Or a boy? You should be six by now, if my calculations are correct. I miss you so much Hyuckie, I don't fall asleep without hugging me, remember? I have restless sleeps, dreams of you and our baby. I need to go now,it's almost morning. Write to me Teddy. Please.
Simba.
"H-He wrote to me? Then why didn't they send it to me?" Haechan started trembling with emotions, Nana knocked the door and he let him in to sit beside the older who was having an emotional breakdown.
"You must be knowing Kun? He's the post master and he said these letters were thrown at the store room. Some girl called Koeun didn't want any of the letters to reach you so she threw them away. Kun said she'll be contradicted for that. As an offense of work." Nana mumbled as Haechans looked up with confusion.
"Why would Koeun do that? She was the sweet girl I ever knew." Haechan shook his head. Maybe it was a misunderstanding the thought.
"Do you want to meet her?" Nana whispered and the red head nodded.
Koeun was his classmate, their classmate, she was a sweet girl who always protected Haechan from bullies and shitty girls. How could she do such a thing? The girl hugged him really tight as he hugged her back.
"Hyuckie you know I would never hurt you. They sent 10 letters all at once and when I saw the name I knew it was Mark. We all know how much he waits for him, so I tried to take it to him but suddenly army officers surrounded the place and.......and told us to leave immediately without taking anything. I did take the bundle but they started checking the bags so I threw it and perhaps it fell into the storeroom then. I swear I never meant to cause harm." Koeun sniffled but Haechan only smiled and giggled.
"I have them now and I guess it's not your fault Eonnie. I'm fine, he's going to come back, I know he will." Haechan giggled, that night he behaved as if nothing bothered him, he laughed and sang out loud at dinner. Making others laugh at his contagious melody of laugher. Nana knew there was a very big part of Haechan missing and he was going to find it for him.
"He-He isn't dead is he?" Haechan whispered once they drove home after dinner.
"I.........I really don't know. Nobody knows Mommy." Nana whispered.
"Missing isn't dead right? My husband is dead is he?" Haechan tried to smile, he did, curtailing his tears behind his orbs.
"What's wrong? Mom?!" Michael ran to Haechan when he stumbled as he got off the car. He held Michaels chest tightly, as fear rose in him. The younger carried his very light mother to his room, as he fell asleep right after that.
