Life was broken, or so it seemed. Actually it wasn't, Haechan was an amazing mother and Grandma. The perfect definition of love. Not so tall, but tall enough and was the most gorgeous man anyone had ever seen. With bright red hair and a smile like the contagious rays of the sun. Michael saw his beloved mother sitting at the airport, he had always wonder how someone could spend their whole life for just one person. Ever since a child, it has always been only his mother, he was 25, he had a daughter of three, Nana was pregnant again and his mother never failed to wait for his father at the air port. Hoping that one day he'll come back to him.
"Mom let's go home." Michael sat beside the gorgeous male.
"A little bit longer darling." Haechan whispered, his stubby arms figetting in anticipation.
For all these years, Haechan never been late, nor was he ever tired of waiting for his baby lion. He promised he would wait for him. And he shall wait as long as it take, as long as he breathes. That night when he left the airport, a tear rolled down his cheek, was Mark ever going to come?
"Grandmommy!!" Little Miley clung onto Haechan as he cooked dinner. Making food was a lovely distraction, he didn't ponder on his sadness always, he was a awesome mother and grandma.
"Mom? So umm Nana wants to stay here for his second pregnancy. Is it alright?" Michael kissed Haechans chubby cheeks.
"That'll be amazing. It's just me always so I'll be delighted to cook for her." Haechan smiled sweetly as his son lifted his daughter.
"Are you alright Mommy?" Michael mumbled worriedly, as the older man smiled.
"I am baby." Haechan whispered softly.
Michael was a very famous writer, coincidencly, like the movie but he wrote a private magazine called The NCT Dream Magazine. Where adorable short stories and romance had come to fame. He often wanted to write about his mother but he didn't want such intimate love to be published on a magazine.
"Omg look at you!!! Aren't you gorgeous." Haechan gleefully treated his pregnant son in law. Nana bit his lips giggling.
"I'm so going to be fat Mommy." Nana giggled hugging the tanned male tightly. She kissed her mother-in-law's chubby cheeks as Miley pranced inside the house happily.
"Well isn't that the best part in being pregnant?" Haechan giggled.
Michael didn't feel excited, of course he was beyond happy for their second baby but seeing his mother broken didn't give him the peace he needed. Nana noticed it, running his fingers through the boys hair he sighed.
"Stop stressing on it. Mommy's happy as he is." Nana whispered softly.
Haechan had his house filled with Marks memories, though he only had one picture, he had hung proudly on his living room wall. So he would wake up to Mark and sleep with Mark on his mind. He was 45, their son was old enough to live by himself, after all he was the father of two children already. But Mark Lee had not returned, people thought he died at war, but Haechan didn't receive a missing letter like Caroline did. So he waited, faithfully for his baby lion to come home.
"Daddy!!! Who that?!" Miley pointed at Marks picture.
"Your grandfather darling." Michael smiled bouncing the baby girl in his arms.
"Where he? He no love Milly?" Miley pouted in her baby voice, she still couldn't pronounce her name properly.
"He'll come home day. I know he will." Haechan smiled, his big bear orbs filling with tears of yearning.
Haechan knew his waiting unconciously made his family wait along with him. They misunderstood him for being heart broken but.........Mark never broke his heart. That man was the most sweetest person on earth, he could never even dream of breaking his baby Pudus heart.
"Why don't you have many pictures of him Mommy?" Nana whispered at the gorgeous man.
"We didn't really have time for pictures. The country wasn't that safe to go out and...........after he left tree beside the house fell off. I lost so many memories in the water. So yeah.......besides the memories in my heart are still fresh like the first day I met him Nana." Haechan giggled softly, the gold diamond engagement ring and wedding band stuck forever on his ring finger.
"How old were you when you met Daddy?" The pretty boy sat behind Haechan, the baby girl asleep and Michael at work. It was just the two of them.
"When I was five? I've known him forever.........he was so small but taller." The red head smiled nostalgically, reminiscing his sweet times with his husband.
"Your story is like Caroline's? The lost valentine?" Nana hugged her knees.
"No. No one's story is the same. I don't want Marks body to come home Nana. I want him to come home. In person, we'd have the rest of the kids after." Haechan winked at his son in law and broke into a train of giggles.
"Aish you big sly Mommy. How many would you have?" Nana place her head on Haechans thighs.
"Three. I always wanted four, though he wanted more haha. We had decided on the names, the places we'd take them. So much. I wrote him a letter once, a long love letter. But.........he never wrote to me so I was never able to send it to him." Haechan patted the boys baby bump smiling.
"Can I see it? If it isn't too personal?" Nana giggled as Haechan nodded and went to get the letter.
The letter was written in brown vintage paper, with teddy bear figurines, and sweet written with so much of love and affection. Nana caressed the olders chubby cheeks as she opened the letter to read. Haechan bit his lips, suddenly he was scard that he'll soon forget his words, what if he forgets his memories, what if Marks face one day faded?
