They're a week into rehearsals. It's been strange not having some of the original cast members there. Pippa missed Renee especially. Lana seemed extremely nice, but it just wasn't the same.

Pippa was sitting on the floor next to Jazzy while everyone else went through Guns and Ships. They were both on their phones.

"Do you maybe want to get together with Lana, as a Schuyler bonding experience?" Jazzy suggested. Pippa nodded.

"Sure," she said. She started coughing and was forced to turn away from Jazzy.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Jazzy asked worriedly. "Your cough hasn't really gone away."

"I'll be fine, Jaz. Stop worrying about me," Pippa said. She watched the actors onstage. "How do you feel about your understudy for the tour?"

"Who, Kaitlyn?" Jazzy asked distractedly. She was texting someone.

"No, Lin. Of course Kaitlyn!" Pippa laughed. "Do you like her?"

Kaitlyn Knox was one of the new ensemble members that had been cast after the meeting on Friday. She'd been in Phantom of the Opera as an ensemble dancer and Wicked, and Lin had said that she was one of his personal selections for ensemble.

"I do. She's extremely talented. Do you see how well she dances? I wish I could dance half as well as she does," Jazzy said. "She seems really nice, too. I think she's doing what Emmy did for the Original Cast and is understudying all three Schuyler Sisters."

"I can't imagine learning that many roles. Sometimes I struggle with just doing well as Eliza," Pippa admitted.

"Oh, Pippa, you're flawless. Don't even get me started on you," Jazzy said. "You're so perfect and pretty. I don't understand how you're such a cinnamon roll all the time. The fans are obsessed with you."

"I've never fully understood why."

"Pippa." Jazzy said, rolling her eyes. "You underrate yourself. You're an amazing singer, and an even better person."

"Schuyler Sisters, please!" Lin called. Pippa groaned and got up, dropping her phone on the ground. Jazzy flopped on the ground.

"Come on, Jasmine. Up," Pippa said, laughing as she pulled Jazzy off the floor.

"But I just wanna stay here with you and eat chips," Jazzy complained.

"We can eat chips after we rehearse this. Come on."

Pippa and Jazzy joined the rest of the cast onstage. Beckett Spencer, who played Aaron Burr, was busy doing consecutive pirouettes.

"An Aaron Burr who ballet dances?" Jazzy commented. "I'm impressed."

Beckett stopped pirouetting. "What can I say? Dancing is cool," he said.

Lana walked over to the Pippa, Jazzy, and Beckett. "Question. Do you guys like cupcakes?" she asked.

"Um, YES!" Beckett said instantly.

"I do, but I'm allergic to eggs," Pippa said.

"How allergic? If there's eggs in my house and I make cupcakes, will you die?" Lana asked.

"No, don't worry. If you wash everything and don't use any eggs, you'll be fine," Pippa said. "I just get really sick if I eat them, even if they've been cooked. I get extremely lightheaded and it just doesn't go very well for quite a while after I eat them."

"I love cupcakes, especially ones with colored frosting," Jazzy said excitedly. "How about you and Pippa come over to my apartment after rehearsal to make some? I have plenty of materials, and I'm sure Pippa has an egg-less cupcake recipe."

"I'd love to!" Lana exclaimed.

"Great! We can walk over after this is over!" Jazzy said.

"That works for me," Pippa added.
