cael and kaveh met when cael was visiting the tavern one afternoon for lunch. they like to gossip over drinks, and cael is probably the only person that can deal with kaveh's endless rambling about alhaitham.

tighnari is a regular customer at the desert flower cafe, and cael enjoys chatting with him when he gets the chance. since tighnari is probably the best botanist in sumeru, cael likes to ask him about what plants might make for good tea flavors.

while the shouki no kami project was still a work in progress, scaramouche frequented the desert flower. cael found him interesting, and tried to chat with him as often as he could. despite scara's inital cold demeanor, he eventually opened up, and the two had chats over tea almost every day. they were both head over heels almost immediately, but cael didn't want to move too fast and scara was trying to deal with these newfound emotions. surprisingly, scara was the one to confess first, albeit bluntly. cael was taken aback by this, but took the opportunity to confess as well, and the two were practically inseparable from then on.
