(FYI This story is before Cassandra's Betrayal and Really long chapter)

                                                                                   ~8 Years Later~

I am walking in Corona now and I'm buying more food. I'm able to walk in both Old Corona and Corona now that people have forgotten my parent's death and forgot about their child which in my opinion I don't care. But what got my blood boiling was that the King and Queen acted like it never happened! 

(I know he would never do this but for the sake of the story please just go with it)

I know Rapunzel wasn't able to do anything because she was kidnapped and didn't know what happened. So in all honesty, I don't blame her at all the only people I blame are her parents and the people of Corona. 

And now that I ran out of money I have to think of a way to get what I need on my list. Ok, so I'm just going to steal more food and hopefully get away with it. So I grabbed an apple and ran but a few of the guards were running after me. After a few minutes of running, I turned into an alley and saw 3 of the guards run past me. 

When I tried to go further into the alley one of the guards grabbed my wrist and held them behind my back. I tried to struggle free but in the end, they cuffed them and made me walk towards the castle. Tsk The castle where the king and queen live with the princess. It's also the first place where I begin to hate royalty and let me tell you why.

~Flash back A few hours after the incident~

I was buying food when I heard the Captain of the guards say to not worry about the incident. and that the King and Queen said that it was probably an accident. I was furious and stormed off thinking how could they think that it was an accident!?!?  Why would they ignore that! Once I was at camp I grabbed a knife and swung it aggressively on a tree.

 Once I calmed down I went back into town and saw a thief running with a bag that probably had money in there. I decided to be nice and when he came near me I tripped him with my foot and sat on him. After a few seconds, the guards came and arrested him and they thanked me for the help but told me not to do it again. 

I nodded and ran back to my spot and got back to drawing and humming to myself. Once I was done I started walking back to my "home" I had gone through Old Corona Village and Climbed the wall without getting caught.

~Flashback Ends~

"Where are we going exactly?" I asked with a raised brow while looking up. "To the Queen of course." I looked at my feet and stayed silent for the rest of the walk there but what they didn't know was that I was plotting my escape for when I was in a cell or throne room. I finally had plans A - D for when they backfired. Once we were in the throne room, I looked up and I saw it was Rapunzel instead.

 Oh, the King and Queen left something about their anniversary or something. And on her left was the famous Flynn Rider or now known as Eugene which I don't care what his name is. But what stuck out to me most was the boy probably around my age on her right. He had black hair with a teal blue stripe. And had sky blue eyes which only held innocence and confusion. Oh, how I could easily get lost in lose eyes.

Wait

No stop thinking that there are more important matters to deal with right now.

I shook my head and looked at Rapunzel with all of my Attention and waited for the Guards to tell them my crime.

~Varians Pov~ (Betcha didn't expect that did you)

Rapunzel said that we need to be in the throne room because apparently, someone committed a crime. I rolled my eyes and thought Who is it this time. As we were waiting patiently for someone to come in. A few Guards and someone else came in and I straightened my back.  As the person got closer and I look at her I blushed at how beautiful the girl was. Her long wavy blonde hair goes all the way down to her lower waist. 

And her sapphire blue eyes with freckles all around her upper cheeks and nose. and her light tan skin and her lips looked so soft and smooth and kissable. I shook those thoughts away and tried to control my blush to the best ability. "This girl was caught stealing food and almost got away with it." I was shocked. 

Why steal food instead of money or the crown. I opened my mouth to say something but Rapunzel beat me to it. "Why steal food instead of asking for it when you could have told them your situation?" She didn't say anything until she finally said something and it shocked me and concerned me.

"So that way I don't have to deal with people or "Royals" like you." 

The way she said Royals was like straight up venom from a black mamba and used it on someone. What did she have against Rapunzels's family? We did everything to keep Corona safe and she walks in here thinking it's not enough. That made my blood boil with anger and I think Rapunzel knew because her hand was on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring squeeze as a way to tell me to keep my cool. 

I took a deep breath and calmed down and heard Rapunzel ask "Why did you say it like we did something? Did something happen that we do not know about? And if that's the case we'll gladly help you and your situation." I saw her smile but it wasn't a happy smile and that gave me goosebumps.

~Serenity's Pov~

Oh so now they care about my situation and wanna help me. Well, it's a little late for them to help me now. "Oh so now you care about my situation. Trust me Princess it's too late for that." I looked up and Rapunzel was unfazed and replied "It's never too late." I clicked my tongue and retorted "Oh yes it is princess." 

"What do you have against Rapunzels family!?" Now that I didn't expect and saw it was stripe who asked and I smiled and said "Everything on her parents but Rapunzel is ok for now." I could tell he was losing his cool and finally asked me something the made my blood boil. "What did they ever do to you!?" I curled my fist and squeezed them until they were white and said "Ask your parents about the incident that happened 8 years ago." 

I smirked and I could tell they were curious and scared as to what I meant. The Guards grabbed my arms and started taking me to where I assumed was a prison cell. But before I completely disappeared I shouted "They probably won't remember or  won't tell you so might as well just ask me but then again I might not tell you."

I smirked at them turned my head back forward and continued walking to my cell and eventually, they threw me in there and locked the door. "Jeez you didn't have to throw me in here," I said.  They all left except one and he didn't have the keys which made me have to replan my escape. I sat on the bed and began to think of a plan to escape. 

Now I know what you are thinking just use your powers. Well if I do a secret is out and I don't want anyone knowing until I know I can trust them, Which will never happen due to my trust issues. Well, I'm going to be here for a while which I don't mind at all it's kinda nice in here if you like leave me alone kinda feel.

~A few days later~

Ok, Remember how I said I don't mind being here? Well, now I hate it here because the food here is disgusting like it came straight from a dumpster. I haven't eaten anything for 5 days and got no visitors at all which I don't care about and I'm very happy about it. People only think about themselves and judge people way too quickly. 

I know what you are wondering why don't you just leave? Well, it's not that simple as it sounds because for some reason my powers are strongest here than anywhere. I don't know why but It has always been that way since I moved here. Ever since I casted a protection spell for me to stay out of harm's way. Well let's say it backfired and now I can't leave the area but everyone else can because it's not directed towards them if that makes sense. 

"You have visitors." I rolled my eyes out of annoyance and sighed. Who in their right mind would visit me. I walked up to the cell door and grabbed the bars and said "Who is it?" "I'll let you figure that out." He told the other Guard that it was safe for whoever to come down. I heard the door open and close and heard footsteps. My eyes widen when I saw it was the princess and her boyfriend and stripes. 

"So let me guess they didn't remember as expected." She sighed and said, "No they do but they won't say anything." I smirked and celebrated inside my head and I laughed. "What did I tell you, I warned you this would happen so I'm guessing that you want to ask me? Well, hate to break it to you but not gonna happen. 

I only tell people who I trust which happens to be no one." I looked at them and I could tell they were dying to know but I decided to meet them halfway and said "But I'll give you a little help." Their eyes lit up and seemed so excited and I'm going to regret this. "This is your only hint ok?" 

Rapunzel nodded and I sighed and said "It all happened in Old Corona. There that's all your getting." I say stripes gasped and Rapunzel said that he should help him since he lives there. Wait If he does then why have I not seen him? "Hey stripes what's your name?" "Varian, Yours?" He responded. "Serenity please to make your acquaintance" as I mockingly bowed. They rolled their eyes and I said: 

"Oh almost forgot to mention something If you figure it out I'll tell you why I hate your parents." They nodded and ran to the exit. I laughed and layed in my bed waiting for them to come back and tell me they can't figure it out. 

Varian's Pov

After that visit, we left and started riding to my house and once we got there we went inside and decide to come up with a plan. "So how do we find out her past?" I thought about it and it came to me that dad must have known what happened. "What if we ask my dad?" They agreed and we looked for him and found him in the lab. "hey son what are you doing?" I gulped and asked, "Dad what was the incident that happened 8 years ago?" His eyes widened and said, "How do you know about that?" 

I gulped but thanks to Rapunzel she explained what happened in the throne room and the cell. He sighed and said, "Yes I do but it's not something you need to know son." I pleaded for him to tell me but he just wouldn't say or dodge it like seriously was it so bad that he just couldn't tell me? We left and tried asking everyone about it but they also dodged it or they said It was a day that a terrible mistake was made. 

We went back to the castle and back to the cell to see her laying on the bed humming. "So did you find out?" "No, no one would tell us" I replied. She looked surprised and walked up to the door and said "Wow I thought they would have willingly told you because they sure did look happy after it happened." I could see her tears were threatening to fall but she quickly wiped them only for them to come back as quickly. 

"You could tell us you know?" She scoffed and said, "Now where is the fun in that." For some reason, I think she wasn't always like this but I really don't want to ask. Nah, screw it if curiosity does try to kill the cat then I know Rapunzel will save me. "Were you always like this?" She seemed taken back by my question and she turned her back and lowered her head. 

~Serenity's Pov~

I turned around letting my tears fall and lowered my head saying "No, I wasn't always like this." Punzie then asked, "Then how did you use to be?" I laughed but it was a genuine one at that and replied "I use to be nice, clumsy, curious, sarcastic, caring, enthusiastic, energetic, and smart. But when the incident happened it completely changed me into the person you met and saw. Now I always have my guard up and take things too seriously. 

Everywhere I went I use to make a joke about almost everything but then it happened and I was so fogged up with anger and revenge that I now realize that I need to move on and be happy." I looked at them and they seemed speechless but the door to the cell opened and Punzie said: "Your free to go now." I smiled and walked right out and she locked the door back to the cell. 

"Well, I better get out of your way so see ya later." As I was about to walk out I felt someone grab my wrist and saw Varian and I blushed but looked away as I heard him say "Let me walk you home please?" I couldn't resist that desperate voice but I really don't want him to know where I live. "Fine but just this once." 

I looked at him and saw him smile and my blush got darker and quickly walked away and Punzie suggested that she and Eugene should tag along. So they ended up joining and we talked about anything and everything. Once we reached the wall I took a deep breath and started climbing and everyone soon joined me. "Not that I'm concerned but why are we on top of the wall?" Eugene asked. I jumped down and I put the ladder back up and said, "use this so you don't break or sprain your foot." 

They were hesitant but soon came down and when they did Varian then said "I don't get it why are we over the wall?" "You wanted to take me home right?" They nodded and said, "Well then follow me." After a few minutes we reached it and they gasped and seemed concerned for me."You live in a tent?" I nodded "For 8 years 5 months." 

Punzie then offered for me to stay at the castle which I agreed to because if I'm being honest, I really am getting tired of living out here. But what didn't know was this was the start of an adventure for all of us.
