Ch. 15: Dirty Flirty
Now that everyone was calling it a night, Wade returned to the private resting room he changed in earlier. It was made for Mark's dad in case he had to stay late or just needed some rest. Wade walked in and started to feel all the hits he took throughout the night. He felt the stiffness and sores that began to bite back at his body. He had started feeling it when they arrived, he was just able to ignore it until now. Wade grunted and hissed at the sudden pain arising, causing him to move slowly as he entered the room. He got the med kit out of the first aid cabinet and set it on the table. He sighed as he waved his arms around to try and loosen up everything he was feeling, stretching and flexing everything he could without causing more pain. He then removed his shirt so he could start applying whatever he needed.
"Oh my God" a voice startled Wade. "Did I do those?" Molly asked as she entered the room, gesturing to the big bruises caused by her electric grappling hook.
"Um..." Wade tried to form words, shocked that she was still here, let alone at this moment. "Oh, uh, those aren't bad, don't worry"
"Damn, looks like I did a number on you" she gently touched the bruises while observing them.
"Um, I thought you left?" Wade asked.
"I was about to" she replied. "Here, sit down" she instructed and Wade went ahead and sat down, but he was still pretty confused.
"So, why didn't you?" Wade asked as she opened the kit and got everything she needed. "I mean, not that I don't appreciate this, but what kept you?"
Molly hesitated as she began attending to Wade's wounds, earning a small hiss and grunt.
"Sorry" she quickly apologized. "Well, uh... I was on my way out, and I couldn't help but stick around for the final words you guys exchanged. Which by the way, I thought was really sweet. Then, I saw the shape you were in when you walked in and thought maybe I should help"
"Wait, so you were there the whole time?" Wade asked.
"Well, it's... not like it's been half an hour or something. It hasn't even been five minutes" she tried to excuse, not that it was that good though. "Besides, I just a little-" she was cut off by another hiss. "Sorry"
"It's fine, I'm actually used to it, normally at least"
"No, I mean, I'm sorry about this" she nervously laughed. "I was only doing my job, but I never thought it would come to this"
"Don't worry about it" Wade said. "I'm actually really impressed. What was that suit you wearing?"
"They call em Bio-Fighters, meant to capture, if not destroy, super-powered individuals" she answered.
"Well, that's... interesting" Wade replied, not sure if he should be impressed or horrified.
"Don't worry, I've never had to do the destroying part before" she assured.
"Well, that's always good to know" Wade nodded.
"Mhm" Molly hummed as she rubbed across his back and shoulders, unable to help but admire his incredibly well built. As well as, enjoy the feel of it.
Wade started to get a little suspicious on the slight squeezing he felt around his muscles. Molly was quick to stop though before she got fully caught.
"So, um, that whole ancient warrior stuff back there, was that for real?" she said, hoping to move on from her little slip up while casually continuing her work.
"You heard that too, huh?"
"Oh yea, I heard it all" she nodded.
Wade scoffed before responding.
"Yes, it was"
"What is that exactly?"
Wade grinned for a moment and then answered.
"A secret protector of the world. I know all forms of fighting and battle and tactics, along with the hidden powers of the human body, and I fight both bad people and evil entities that roam the earth"
"Wow" Molly replied, genuinely amazed. "I guess you're pretty big news" she joked.
"Well, I don't mean to brag, but..." Wade shrugged and Molly laughed. It was the first time he heard her laugh too. It was cute.
"You sound like you don't believe me though?" Wade questioned.
"I probably wouldn't if not for my job, but I've seen much weirder things"
"Alright, well now it's your turn. How did you become a... Bio-Fighter?"
"I'm... actually referred to as a Foxtrot" she reminded and Wade suddenly remembered.
"Oh yea, sorry" he scoffed.
"Plus, you didn't actually tell me how you became this warrior" she noted.
"You tell me yours, I tell you mine?" he suggested nervously.
Molly just shrugged and went with it.
"I was a fighter pilot at first, but I also had some pretty good fighting skills myself. That, and I had some really high scores. So, one day I get offered to be a part of something big and important; and I wanted to serve my country in the best possible way I could and I thought this was it"
"So, you're a patriot?" he asked.
"Yea, basically" she nodded, now finishing up with the bandages.
"By the way, where is that suit of yours?" he wondered.
"It's safe, don't worry. We're taught how to hide them if we need to" she answered. "Now it's your turn, what's your story?"
Wade gave a quick glance over his shoulder before retrieving his shirt.
"I was... looking for a way to help people in the best possible way. And one day, I met a man who made that possible. I'm afraid I can't go into details about it though"
"That's ok, but what made you wanna do this so badly?"
Wade smirked from the question.
"You know Markiplier?"
"Doesn't everybody?" she countered and he laughed.
"He's a friend of mine. Believe it or not, we were actually best friends long before he became the Modern-Day-Superman" he stated with a slight giggle and Molly was amazed. "Last time I saw him, I was at a point in my life where... I was trying to find my purpose basically. At which point, he had also gotten his powers. I helped convince him to use them for good and he inspired me to do the same. Just, in a different way. A way that would convince others that they wouldn't have to be super to be a hero. Needless to say, I had finally found that purpose"
When he finished, he stood from his chair and put his shirt back on. Molly really wished he had kept it off.
"So I guess, in a way, we're kind of the same?" Molly asked.
"Yea, actually, you could say that" Wade nodded and Molly giggled under her breath.
"I guess Mark really is a good guy" she kindly said.
"He really is" Wade nodded.
A silence broke between the two as they realized how close they were to each other. So close, Wade almost felt the urge to lean in and kiss her. Both ended up lowering their gaze and slightly backing away before that happened.
"What about the W on your suit? Does that stand for your name?"
"As a matter of fact, yeah; my name" he nodded.
"You use your real name as your superhero name?" she asked with confusion.
"Name and rank, Wade Lordminion777" he clarified.
"Why?"
"Cos I want people to be able to identify with me as regular guy, someone they can see as a friend or, in a criminal's case, a nuisance. If that makes any sense?"
Molly thought about it for a moment before responding.
"Yea, I think I can see that, and I think it's great of you too"
"Thanks" Wade smirked before averting his eyes again and backing up until he was leaning against the wall. "I just don't understand why all this is happening. I mean, I took down an entire crime family tonight, and that makes me a wanted man? I mean, I didn't kill anyone, and I don't see these guys going after Mark or Jack. It just doesn't make any sense to me"
Molly felt sympathy for the wanted fugitive. It wasn't right, nor fair, that this was happening to him. Especially, when all he wanted was to help those around him and live his dream. She had to help him and fast.
"Hey, you just get some sleep. I'll find out what's going on, I promise" she assured as she walked up to him with a hand on his arm. Wade smirked as he glanced between her and her hand.
"Thankyou, for everything, again"
"It's what I'm here for" she smiled and began to leave, for real this time.
"Hey Molly?" she stopped and turned back. "Please be careful"
She smiled at him.
"You too"
She then left, and Wade couldn't help but form a small smile. He would eagerly await her return.

General Chambers entered Blades' room when he received news of his return. He was currently tearing through it mercilessly, destroying anything inside. There wasn't any people in there, thankfully, but the room now looked like something Blades would love to live in, unlike the nice setting it was earlier.
"Blades" the General said, but Blades kept slashing away.
"BLADES!" he finally got his attention.
"I want his blood! He caught one of my knives and then slipped away from me! Nobody does that to me!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
"I understand you're upset, but you need to calm down" Chambers said, stepping daringly closer to his assassin. "He'll turn back up, they always do. But we need to talk"
"About what?" he asked.
"There were casualties tonight, we've talked about this" Chambers noted.
"We have, but they saw me and got in my way, and you told me no witnesses" Blades panted.
"I know, but you need to be more discrete when you're out there and not go out in the open. We can't afford casualties and risks, especially if you want to keep doing this"
"Of course I do" he replied. "Please don't take this away from me"
"I won't, but you need to keep your cool out there" he reminded.
"Just find me that man so I can finish the job" he breathed hard.
"We will, and when we do, he's all yours" Chambers promised.
Blades just stood there breathing for a second before responding.
"Good, cos when I get my hands on him..." he turned away and slashed away at the wall, leaving a large long mark across it.
"Adrian, Adrian" another man calmly said as he entered the room.
It was Dr. Blue, the same man who gave Pewdiepie his fist and then turned out to be a mad man. He stepped into the room alongside the General and in front of Blades.
"Don't be that way, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You did very good tonight, as you always do" he assured and Blades seemed to relax a little.
"Thankyou doctor" he nodded.
"Besides, he didn't escape you, he escaped us, it was our fault; but I can assure you it wasn't for nothing. You got us something very special" he stated promisingly and Blades seemed a little proud of himself. "Now, why don't you get yourself cleaned up and rest? You'll need to be a hundred percent when you face him again"
Blades glanced between the doctor and the General before nodding in agreement and exiting the room. They would need to find him a new room before he was done.
"He'll be fine, he just needs to relax" Dr. Blue stated.
"Speaking of that something special..." the General noted and the scientist eagerly grinned.
"Right this way"
He led his friend and colleague to the room Wade's staff was brought to. It was lying on a table with lights on it, encased in protective glass. There were scientists studying around it and a few observers checking it out.
"We've never seen anything like this before" Dr. Blue informed as they entered the room. "It's made of something we have yet to even discover and carries some type of energy with it. This could be the key to a new age of weaponry"
"But you have no idea what this thing is?" Chambers asked as he observed the staff from beside it.
"Afraid not, it's completely unheard of" he stated.
The General leaned beside the table as he observed the strange object, getting lost in his thoughts about what this was and what it could mean.
"It seems our new friend has some secrets, and I'd like to know what they are" he determinedly stated.

The next day, Molly was sitting on a park bench while waiting for her friend to arrive, admiring the beautiful view around her as she did. She also had to stay vigilant in case anybody was watching, keeping her hoodie and cap on at all times. Then, she saw her friend arrive, taking a seat right next to her.
"Hey Nin" Molly said.
"Hey Molly, what's up?" she asked, wondering what was the whole point of this meeting. Molly had informed her she was in trouble and needed to meet up, but she didn't say what or why though.
"I need your help" she said, checking one last time to make sure no-one was watching.
"Obviously, but why all this? What's going on?"
Molly took in a breath and let it out before responding.
"This is gonna sound crazy, but I think there's something bad going on with the people we're working for. I think my superiors are running illegal operations"
"What kind of illegal operations?" she asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"That's the thing, I'm not sure. That's why I called you" she answered.
Nin started to get the idea of what was going on here and it made her worry.
"Shit, this is huge Molly"
"I wouldn't have called you if it wasn't"
"I know, but this is... major" she noted back. "What makes you even think that they're doing something bad?"
"Did you hear about last night?" she asked and Nin nodded yes. "It wasn't the guy they're saying it was, I know cos I was there. It was a different asset of theirs called Blades, first initial A. He killed those people. Well, shit he really just slaughtered them like animals from what I've heard"
"So, you're saying that they're committing mass murder?"
"Murder, kidnapping, conspiracy, and Lord knows what else" she stated, almost too scared to find out the rest. "Bottom line, they're doing something bad and using us to carry it out. We need to find out what it is and put a stop to it, there's a lot of people whose lives depend on it"
Nin took in all her words and thought them through very carefully and then some. She understood the magnitude of what this meant, and it was her duty to fulfill it.
"What do you need?" she asked.
"Find out everything you can, and also call Entoan and see what he can find, and do it fast. Do you think you can do this? Because if not, say it now or forever hold your peace"
Nin smirked before giving her a determined response.
"I'll do it"
