Wade encounters someone from his past and it makes him feel sad and worthless, but Ember is there for him.

Wade had just finished his job of inspecting pipes around the city and got a text message from Ember.

'Hey, Wade, can you pick up some stuff before you come home?' She messaged.

'Sure, what do you need?'' He texted.

Later he took the train and made it to the supermarket and grabbed a basket shopping. He picked up the stuff Ember asked for and he was just minding his business when he bumped into another water element.

''Well, well, if it isn't Wade Ripple.'' A familiar voice said.

Wade looked up and gulped getting emotional as he looked at his ex-girlfriend Clara.

''U-Uh C-Clara!'' Wade said getting emotional and started crying.

''Look at you still a crying big baby.'' Clara said rolling her eyes.

Wade felt hurt by that, sighing and looking up. ''Hi Clara.''

''Not like you to leave the warm embrace of your family's home.'' Clara said looking at him.

''Yeah, well I decided to move with my girlfriend when she decided to go to school.'' Wade said smiling thinking of his fire goddess.

''You got a girlfriend? And she puts up with your crying? She must be as desperate as you are. So what water girl is she? Like you and cries all the time.'' Clara sneered upset that Wade got a new girl.

Wade felt anger at Clara and sadness. ''No, she actually a different element.''

''Oh? No water elements take you, so you move onto others?'' Clara asked rolling her eyes.

''This one is different we have a bond.'' Wade said.

''Yeah right, she felt sorry for you and decided to be with you, once she sees what a sad, pathetic, loser you are she'll leave.'' Clara said.

Wade looked down and sighed.

''You remembered why we broke up right?'' Clara asked.

''Because I was too weak and wasn't water enough for you.'' He said sadly.

''Yep, and you still are. That girl will leave you when she finds someone new especially since your too scared to have sex. Does she know that?'' Asked Clara snickering.

Wade felt sadness and wanted to cry but didn't. He looked bad enough in front of Clara.

''No, but it will happen I just need time.'' Wade said nodding.

''Yeah, but will she? Face it Wade that girl is only with you because she felt sorry and there weren't any guys her type around, right?''

Wade gulped. He never thought if there was another fire guy trying to win Ember over, maybe Clara was right.

Suddenly a big, strong water guy came over and placed his arm around Clara leaning down and kissing her cheek. ''Hey Babe.''

''Hey, Oh Wade this is Tide my boyfriend. Tide this is my ex-Wade.'' She introduced them with a sneer at Wade.

Tide looked at Wade. ''This little shrimp?''

''Yep.'' She said as she giggles at the joke.

Wade's confidence went down as the couple took off.

''Catch in another life Wade.'' She called.

Wade went shopping and got the stuff Ember asked for. He loved Ember but he felt his eyes start to water up. What if what Clara said was right.

He didn't know of any guy who were after Ember besides little Claude but what if it was true? Deep down Wade was worried that Ember would meet someone else and leave him. He made it back home and went in.

''Wade!'' He heard an excited voice.

He smiled as Ember ran over and gave him a big hug. He hugged her, her hugs just like her were special.

She pulls out of it and smiles and saw his face. ''Hey what's wrong?''

He looked at her. ''What makes you think that?''

''You have this sad look. Was someone picking on you?'' She asked with a determined face.

''Well sort of... Ember -you didn't have any other guys in mind before you met me, did you?'' He asked hesitantly.

She looked at him and cupped his cheek as it bubbled a bit. ''No, honestly, I was so into running the store I didn't have time to look for a guy. Not that I needed to, a certain water guy found me.'' She chuckled.

''Hehe yeah.''

''What brings this up?'' She asked.

''Well, I ran into my ex and she put me down, making me doubt myself and our relationship.'' He said sadly.

''I love you Wade, if not for you I wouldn't be here.'' She hugs him.

He hugged her back. ''I'm so lucky.''

Ember pulls away. ''Say we should go out tonight, take your mind off of it.'' She said.

''Sounds great Em.'' He said pulling her in for a kiss.

Later that evening the two of them went to an outdoor restaurant and sat at a table looking over the menu. Both dressed up.

''Oh, are you serious? How many times am I going to run into you Wade.''

Wade gulped and turned around as Ember looked and sure enough there was Clara all dressed up with her guy Tide next to her.

''Is that?'' Asked Ember.

''Yep, my ex-Clara.'' He sighed.

''Just ignore her.'' Ember said feeling a bit of annoyance and jealously. She had to admit Clara was beautiful for a water girl.

The two continued as if nothing happened talking and enjoying their evening.

''The stars are coming out.'' Ember pointed out.

''Hey maybe after this we can go star gazing.'' Wade suggested.

''I love that idea.'' She winks at him.

''Please that's all he's going to do. Wade is too scared to try anything with a girl.'' Clara said as her and Tide went past the table.

Ember was losing her patience.

''Well, at least he's a gentleman and not with a stuck-up water element.'' Ember shot back.

Clara stopped and turned to Ember as the fire element got up.

''Excuse me? I was his first girlfriend and I know him. He a good for nothing water who doesn't know how to pleasure girls, he's still a damn virgin and will be until he gets married.'' Clara growled.

Ember got up face to face and smirked. ''Oh, then neither he wasn't interested in you, or you didn't want to have sex because he's amazing at having sex. In fact, he made the first move.'' Ember taunted.

Clara was shocked and shook her head. '' In your dreams.''

''And what are you going to do about its Clara?'' Asked Ember standing up tall.

''Nothing, besides your only with him because you feel pity for him.'' Clara growls standing tall.

''Wrong! I'm with him because he changed and saved my life! He a sweet, passionate, loving water guy! So beat it before I boil you ALIVE!'' Shouted Ember glowing brighter as Clara felt her water boil.

Tide gulped and remembered Ember, she was the one who chased him and his partner out when they were younger for messing with the Fireplace.

''Come on Clara, leave them. Besides you're with me.'' He pulled her as they left.

Everyone cheered as Wade stood up and ran over hugging Ember.

''Babe you were wonderful! And thank you!'' Wade started crying as he hugged her tightly.

Ember smiled and hugged back. ''Anytime. Nobody gets away with messing with my water guy.'' She exclaimed as they shared a kiss.

It was a peaceful evening, and the date went well.
