Wade defends Ember...

One evening Wade was watching tv and Ember was looking for something in the fridge.

''Wade, we need to go grocery shopping.'' The fire Element said as she closed the fridge.

''What, do we need?'' He asked.

''Milk and food, the fridge is empty.'' Ember said.

Wade nodded, they had just moved into their apartment a week ago and had been busy they hadn't had time to go shopping.

''Well, let's go.'' He said standing up.

She nodded and followed him as they went to the bus and looking around. Ember saw some other elementals looking at them whispering and moving away from them.

She tried not to let that get to her. She knew there were a lot of elements that didn't approve of elements mixing which is what Ember and Wade done and they loved each other, but that still didn't stop others from frowning at them and whispering.

Wade took her hand holding it as she looked at him with a smile as he smiled back. Wade knew them being together not everyone would approve of them, but it didn't matter to him all he knew was he was with the girl he wanted, and they made it work.

He saw a tree frowning at them and he glares back as the tree looks away.

''So, how is the internship?'' Wade asked.

''It's going great, I'm really getting a lot of it. In a couple years they might make me official.'' Ember said excitedly.

''That's great!'' Wade exclaimed as he hugged her.

They pulled away to see an older couple staring in disapproval as the couple glare back. Shortly the train stopped, and they got off as they continued walking to the grocery store.

''Ok, we need fruit.'' Ember said.

They went looking at the fruit and Ember was looking at the banana when an old couple came over and smiled.

''I just want to say, you two are a cute couple.'' An older cloud lady said.

''Thanks.'' Wade smiled.

They were about to check out when they heard a couple clouds were talking.

''I can't believe they are a couple.'' One said.

''They are breaking all the elements and giving each other a bad name.'' The second cloud said.

''Please, he probably only dated her because she was going to back to her own fire town.'' The first one said with a snicker.

Wade had enough of this, and he turned around and marched over to them as he sprayed them with water and was glaring at them,

''Are you serious?!'' He shouted.

''Chill Water dude.'' The first one said.

''NO, I WON'T! I'M NOT GOING TO LET YOU TALK ABOUT MY GIRLFRIEND LIKE THAT!!! WE ARE TOGETHER BECAUSE WE MADE EACH OTHER HAPPY! SHE IS A WONDERFUL GIRL WHO IS FOLLOWING HER DREAM! GET LOST IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH US!'' Wade shouted getting emotional.

Every element over there was shocked to hear this and Ember gulped feeling very proud of Wade for defending them. He usually did it just never went that far and usually she had to stand up against them.

Wade sprayed them with water and went back to where Ember was. She hugs him tightly. ''Thank you Wade! I love you so much.'' She kisses his cheek.

They paid for their stuff and left. Once they got back to their apartment Ember set the grocery down and turned and kisses Wade on the lips.

The water guy kissed back and held her close as they pull away. ''You don't know how happy I am.'' She said.

''Of course, babe! I will defend us to the end and I'm sorry you had to go through that.'' He said feeling bad and hugging her.

''It was bound to happen. You get some that love us and others that are against us.'' She shrugged.

''We shouldn't have to go through that though.'' Wade said.

Ember and Wade smile at each other as they share another kiss and continued enjoying their evening.
