I saw Duskfoot padding towards me. 

She asked me to fetch her fresh-kill, again. 

Why can't she get it herself?

But she was my mother - I had to show respect.

So I got the most prized pick from the pile - a rabbit.

But instead of eating it, she nudged me. 

My blood froze as I heard her demand.
