It had been a three days since your internships had begun. It was pretty weird to have conversations with Katsuki over text, but then again you usually never needed to since you went to school together and hung out pretty often. You couldn't help but find it super adorable that Katsuki texted you every night to make sure you made it back to the agency.

It's weird... He seems so protective over me lately.

-The Next Morning-

"Good morning (y/n)!" Thirteen called over to you with a wave.

"Good morning Thirteen! I'm ready to take on the day!" You were still struggling to push down your bedhead since you had only managed to barely wake up and put your hero costume on. This is what I get for texting Katsuki so late last night...

"That's what I like to hear!"

-Hosu Shopping District-

"So, what are we doing today Thirteen?" You glanced up at them as you walked down the busy street. The past few days, Thirteen had been teaching you a lot about different aspects of rescuing; How you're suppose to comfort and approach people, basic first aid, keeping an eye out for potential hazards. The whole hero thing felt like it was starting to become a reality.

"This shopping district is pretty infamous for petty theft. I thought you could get some experience seeing how to deal with capturing low tier villains in crowded areas!" Thirteen excitedly said.

You two continued to wander around for a bit keeping an eye on things. The silence was comfortable, but there was a question that had been eating away at you since you arrived.

"Thirteen..."

"Hmmm?"

"Why did you offer to let me intern with you? I mean... You know right?" They immediately knew what you were referring to. After a moment of silence, they responded.

"You remind me of myself." They said firmly, lifting their gloved hand to look at it. Your eyes shot back up. "My quirk, like yours, has the potential to kill easily. What happened in the past was the result of unfortunate circumstances, but you're not a murderer (y/n)." They reached over and grabbed your hand, placing their other hand atop it in a reassuring manner. "What's most important is what you choose to do with your power now."

The familiar tightness in your throat returned. But you did allow your eyes to soften a bit.

Dammit (y/n) this is no time to cry!

"Thank you Thirteen... I'll remember tha-"

"HERO, WE NEED A HERO!" The desperate cries of a woman pulled you out of the conversation. You and Thirteen glanced at each other and nodded, heading towards the screams.

Upon arriving at the scene, you were greeted by a small building on fire. The front door swung open, a large man walking out with a bag in hand.

"Molten..." Thirteen mumbled. "His goonies usually handle the smaller stuff... I didn't expect him to make an appearance himself."

Molten...

It was a name you had heard on the news plenty of times. He's a well-known villain associated with large-scale theft. His quirk 'Lava body' allowed him to secrete lava from his pores at will. Heroes were often busy rescuing civilians due to the lethal nature of his power, making him incredibly difficult to capture.

"Well well well, Thirteens here huh?" The man smirked and began secreting large amounts of lava, the bright molten rock quickly spreading across the pavement. "Sorry I'd love to stick around and catch up, but I've got a date with these stacks of money."

"Everyone! Please make your way down the street and get to higher ground if possible. Alert any heroes you come across!" Thirteen yelled. Civilians began panicking, taking off as fast as they could. You were in a bit of a daze still. Everything seemed to be happening so fast. "(Y/n)... (Y/N), SNAP OUT OF IT PLEASE!" Thirteens pleads brought you back to your senses.

"Y-YES! SORRY!" You took a deep breath, calming your mind and readying yourself.

"The first thing that needs to be done is to rescue the people from that building. They're in immediate danger." Thirteen calmly brought to your attention. You observed how the lava began to pool against the walls of the already on fire building, eating away at the concrete.

With so many people around, Thirteen has very limited use of their quirk.

Your eyes glanced over at them.

Not only that but they don't have great mobility...

You swallowed thickly.

"I'll go." Thirteen's gaze fell on you. You began pulling your mask up over your chin to cover your mouth. "I can get up to the second floor through the windows. I also have an oxygen supply."

Thirteen hesitated at your idea. They knew it was the best option, but the thought of throwing you head first into this mess made them reluctant. Not only that, there would be serious legal repercussions due to you still being a student without a hero license.

But time was of the essence and people could die.

"I understand. I'll keep Molten busy." Thirteen lifted their hand, uncapping the finger to begin sucking in the lava. "GO, FISSION HERO GIGATON!"

You nodded and took off forward, sweeping the ground with your palm and breaking down the concrete. Using the energy generated you channeled it to the soles of your feet, launching yourself up and over the lava in a quick blast. Over the past month you had really finely tuned your control over your quirk, now understanding how much energy was needed to get you certain heights.

Sticking your leg out in front of you, you crashed sideways through the second story window. It hurt, but your suit prevented any serious damage from being done. After coming to your feet, you peered around. Flames and heavy black smog encased the floor and walls. It was hard to see, but you made out the figures of seven people desperately clawing at the wall. The disturbing scene shook you to your very core.

Hold it together. Remember what Thirteen taught you.

"Everyone! please calm down. There is nothing to worry about! I am here to save you!"

-Tokyo: Near Genius Office-

"Molten, the infamous lava villain has once again made an appearance in the Hosu shopping district."

Katsuki immediately stopped in his tracks. His eyes shot over to the emergency broadcast streaming over the large public TV. Best Jeanist stopped as well, peering back at the boy.

"Why did you stop?" He questioned.

"That's..." Katsuki stuttered. Best Jeanist walked up next to him and watched the screen.

"Hosu district huh? My my things always seem to happen over there..." Katsuki didn't respond. His eyes only darted around the screen before landing on the image of Thirteen.

"Our reports indicate that the Space Hero, Thirteen is currently engaged in combat with Molten while another unknown hero has entered the building to assist those trapped inside."

Katsuki's eyes widened. He knew who that unknown hero was. Not a moment later he took off running, only getting a few feet before Best Jeanist yanked him back with his quirk.

"Not so fast Bakugou. Hosu isn't our district to deal with. There are plenty of heroes around that area anyways. Calm down." Katsuki clicked his tongue and quaked angrily. He knew Best Jeanist was right. He knew he wouldn't make it there in time to help anyways.

So he begrudgingly resigned himself to watch along with the rest of the crowd that had gathered before the broadcast. Katsuki crossed his arms, eyes locked on the screen.

"Don't die, you idiot..."
