[After Story]: Graduation
"SMILE (Y/N) SMILE!" Mitsuki excitedly begged, taking probably her 100th picture of you.
"Mitsuki..." You sighed through another toothy grin. "I'm gonna be late for the actual ceremony..."
"BUT YOU LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL I NEED TO TAKE AS MANY PICTURES AS POSSIBLE-"
"HURRY THE FUCK UP YA OLD HAG, WE DON'T HAVE ALL DAY DAMMIT." Katsuki called out from next to his father. He had been irritated for a while with how many pictures Mitsuki had been making you pose for.
"Hush now you damn brat. Even you have to admit (y/n) looks stunning." She retorted while snapping another picture. Oh, he knew. He hadn't been able to take his eyes off you all day, appreciating one of the few times he got to see you in a dress.
Today was your last day as a UA student. After this, everyone would be going their separate ways. It was a bittersweet happiness.
"That's enough. Let's go already..." Katsuki growled, eventually taking your wrist and dragging you away from his doting mother.
"Ehh-! Okay... I'll see you after Masaru, Mitsuki!" You smiled, giving them both a small wave.
When you two were out of sight, Masaru turned to his wife, noticing a few stray tears cascading down her cheeks. He sighed and pulled a tissue from his pocket.
"Mitsuki dear."He grinned, gently whipping under her eyes. "You're crying again."
"I'm n-not crying you damn idiot-" She sniffled.

"Oi, what the hell do you look so nervous for." Katsuki huffed. "You literally have to walk up onto a stage and grab a piece of fucking paper."
"Yeah, but there's stairs between me and that paper!" You stammered nervously. "That in combination with the heel on these shoes makes for a difficult combina-"
He pressed his lips against yours only for a moment, just enough to shut you up.
"I'm pretty sure you've gotten through worse." He chuckled, placing his hand on top of your head and pressing another kiss to your forehead. "Relax."
Maybe it was because it didn't feel real. Maybe it's because at one point you never thought you could be a hero. They were good nerves. They meant that you were here, waiting in that tunnel alongside all your other classmates. And when you stepped onto that field, the whole world would cheer.
Because you made it.
You would become a hero, one who would live for protecting the world, something that used to feel like an unattainable dream. But now it sat on that platform in the form of a simple handshake and congratulations.
"Hey lovebirds!" Ochaco teased. "Stop sucking face and line up! We're going out soon!"
Katsuki pushed you away in a hurry.
"WE AIN'T DOING SHIT YOU DAMN ROUND FACED PRICK." He growled, walking away to line up behind his best friend.
Some things never change.
Kirishima turned slightly, whispering into Katsuki's ear.
"So. You gonna ask after the ceremony?" He quietly chuckled.
"Shut up..." Katsuki muttered, a flush forming over his cheeks. "I'll decide on that later dammit..."

"The following students had worked hard, persevering through tribulation after tribulation, proving to the world that they are ready to step forward and protect all that is good." Nezu spoke into the mic. "They come from many walks of life indeed. However they all share a similar dream, that being the hope of creating a more just world. It brings me great honor to present to you this year's graduate's."
Your classmates began to ascend the stage one at a time.
Dammit... Don't cry (y/n)...
You couldn't help your sniffling. You were finally going to be a hero after all and alongside the person you loved nonetheless.
"Katsuki Bakugou."
He walked onto the stage. You watched with a bright smile as he took the certificate and shook the staff's hands without any fuss. Well, of course, he had his usual scowl.
But that was okay because you could tell deep down that he was happy.
When they finally called your name, it took you a moment to realize what happened. Shouto even had to give you a little nudge to pull you out of your daze. A small blush formed on your cheeks in embarrassment as you rushed to stand. You shot your friend a quick smile and walked to the side of the platform. The ascent up those stairs onto that stage felt like an eternity.
"Congratulations." Nezu smiled, placing your diploma in your hand. You nodded in gratitude and happily took it from him.
The last hand you had to shake was Aizawa's.
"(Y/n)." He smiled warmly, wrapping both of his hands around yours. "For enduring great trail and never losing sight of who you wanted to be... Congratulations."
Tears began welling up in your eyes. You gave him a stern nod and turned to face the audience, holding the certificate high above your head and showing a toothy grin.
They applauded you, your friends in particular loudly hollering your name. But you already knew who was louder than them.
"YEEEEEESSSSS (Y/N) MY DAUGHTER YOU'RE AMAZING!" Mitsuki shot up from her seat, screaming as loud as she could. She was also still crying. Katsuki sat silently in his seat and just watched you. He didn't need to be loud for you to know he cared.
You smiled down at him from the stage, and he couldn't help but smile back.

The two of you walked quietly next to each other, lagging slightly behind the rest of your classmates. It was one of those familiar silences you had grown to love. Just being with each other filled you with a sense of warmth, even when no words were exchanged.
And then he stopped moving forward suddenly.
You stopped as well, peering over at him a bit confused.
"Katsu-?"
"Listen..." He started, not yet turning around to face you. The tone of his voice signaled that he was going somewhere with this. Katsuki's hand fiddled around in his pocket. His ears were red, all the way to their tips. You tilted your head curiously.
"Well? What is it?"
His hand stopped moving and he pulled it out empty-handed, allowing it to rest by his side.
"It's nothing." He quietly said.
"(Y/n)!" Ochaco called from up ahead. "You guys are falling behind! Come on, we're going out to celebrate!"
"Eh? Alright, one sec-" You started, only to be cut off by your boyfriend.
"Let's go." Katsuki mumbled, taking your hand in his and pulling it along toward the rest of the class.
"Wait!? Didn't you wanna talk about something-!?"
"It can wait."
Katsuki's two closest friends looked on from a distance.
"He couldn't do it huh?" Kaminari chuckled quietly. Kirishima grinned as well, turning to follow after everyone else.
"I guess even Katsuki Bakugou gets nervous sometimes."
