1968 - 1972 Summary

AMBROSE, maid of one of the most prominent Appalachians families learns of her orgins in connection to a web of laboratories fixated on child expermentions for the Cold War. After a massacre of the labatortory head staff, she must complete with the remaining subjects for dominance in their hierarchy while studying her abilities to create gates to the Upside Down.

1991 Summary

PROPHET, the woman once known as Ambrose, subject 002, masks her identity as a simple street urchin after years of dormancy within the Upside Down. Working for a new labatortory in Lenora Hills masquerading as a newspaper printing association, she abandons it to live on the streets and away from them. She is thrust into responsibilities with Argyle, now owner of Surfer Boy's Pizza and canibis lord, for some of the most high-profile people in California. Under the prenotion of martyrdom, they are sent off to shut off the last four gates and stop the children who have the ability to open them.
