(Janie's POV)

The next three weeks after the incident I haven't talked to Luke. I couldn't. I felt really bad, like insanely bad. More like as if I just murdered a penguin family bad!!

Luke thinks he loves me. And may never get over me. And that's MY FAULT!

I stared at the floor while trying to call Ava and apologise. I've done this every day since she left the tour last week. Ava was gonna stay until we reached Sydney again, but she couldn't stand being around Luke, more like me, for that long so she just left in the middle of the night while we were in a rest stop.

The good news is Luke was single... NO SHUT UP JANIE!!!

The phone kept ringing and eventually went to voicemail. I rolled my eyes at the beep.

"Hey Ava, I just wanted to apologise for what happened. I was really hoping we could've been friends but I guess not now," I bit my lip and hung up.

"No answer again?" Calum asked sit on the bunk next to me.

"Nope," I shook my head. Then a light bulb went off. "Calum! Give me your phone!" At first he looked at me strangely.

"Okay here you go?" He handed me his iPhone as I dialled Ava's number. It wasn't long before she answered.

"Calum?" She asked from the other line.

"So you were just ignoring me!!" I broke out saying.

"Who's this?" Ava questioned from the other line.

"Janie, I'm sorry I broke you and Lu-" I was cut off by her hanging the phone up. "Wow, okay," I sighed handing Calum his phone back.

"Morning peoples!" Blair smiled jumping into my bunk.

"Morning babe," Calum wrapped his arms around her from behind and pecked her cheek. Blair immediately looked uncomfortable, but Calum didn't notice.

"Ava refusing to talk to you still?" Blair asked changing the subject.

"Yep," I nodded. "This is why no ones nice in this world, why people lie, why people bully each other, cause niceness and honesty gets no respect back," I sighed.

"Aw I know, it sucks," Blair agreed. She looked at Calum "Hey can you give Janie and I a moment? Pwease?"

"Sure," he sighed trying to hide the fact that Blair and I constantly being secretive bothered him. Calum let go of Blair and walked over to another bunk waking up whoever was in it.

"What do I do??" We both said in unison.

"Sorry what?" Blair looked at me confused.

"Never mind you go first," I laughed.

"What am I supposed to do? I feel really bad about Calum," Blair sighed fidgeting with her fingers. "It seemed smart at the time, now I just feel like an idiot."

"Blair, you're not an idiot," I pat her back and hugged her. "Everyone makes stupid decisions because they love someone."

"Like?" Blair looked up at me as if expecting examples.

"Me! Did I ever tell you all the things I do because I was in love with Luke? I made him fall in love with me with a voodoo doll. Then I fake dated Ashton for months to try and get Luke over me, all I could've done was exactly what I'm doing now, let it be how it is," I shrugged. "I realised love that's meant to be will happen without stupid dolls or trying to get people over you, these things happen without you making them if that's how it's meant to be."

"But how do I know that Ash and I are meant to be? What if we're not? What if he's over me?" Blair kind of panicked.

"Seriously? Ashton hasn't called anyone babe or even been able to tolerate the word because of you. He cried to me about how much he missed you and how much he loves you. Trust me if after two years of being apart you both feel that same effect, that means something is supposed to happen with you two. I think it's meant to be," I explained.

"Okay, but Calum..." She bit her lip looking at me worried.

"You gotta tell him," I shrugged.

"But he really likes me, and I'm starting to like him, but yet again, Ashton is just... I can't ever replace Ashton," Blair replied.

"I know Ashton's a really great guy," I smiled. "Wait what? Point is, Calum needs to know the truth before it's too late. The more you wait to tell him, the more it'll kill him to hear. I'd recommend telling him soon. Trust me waiting isn't a mistake you want to make, it's too late to tell Luke my lie cause it would crush both of us if I do."

"Okay," Blair took a deep breath getting up and walking over to Calum.

I quickly scurried to find Ashton. Might as well have a small moment before he's no longer single and in a loving perfect relationship.

"Ashton!" I ran into the video game room and gave him a bear hug not noticing that there's other people in the room.

"Woah... Uhm didn't you two fake break up?" Michael chuckled putting his controller down. I pulled away from the hug blushing.

"Ashton, Blair is telling Calum," I explained to him. He immediately stood up with wide eyes.

"She is? Why?? That'll kill him!" Ashton panicked at the thought of his best friend being so sad.

"It will crush him more if she holds it in as long as I have," I explained.

"Wait what is she saying? I'm lost!" Jay laughed while sitting on Mike's lap.

"That the only reason she is dating him is so she could come on tour and see Ashton again," I explained.

"Woah that's harsh!" Jay pointed out.

"As harsh as putting a spell on a hot guy through a doll? I don't think so," I pointed out.

"Wait who did that?" Michael asked confused. Oh shit Michael didn't know that.

"Uhm... Me... To Luke..." I bit my lip and concentrated back to Ashton. "So when she dumps Calum will you two go out or...?" I attempted to change the subject.

Ashton ran his long fingers through his messy mop he calls hair. "I didn't think this through," he mumbled.

"What through?"

"Blair is willing to hurt Calum because of me, cause I didn't contact her, because I had to still be in love with her. Now innocent Calum who hasn't had a girlfriend in forever, is about to realised he was just used. I did that to Calum not Blair," Ashton sighed. I feel like out of anyone on this planet I've seen Ashton the most upset. Cause he's comfortable being upset around me. Makes me feel special and sad at the same time.

"Ashton it's not your fault okay? There's billions of fans out there, they all out kill to date Calum, he can't feel THAT bad about being used to get to you, calm down," I explained. I feel like a therapist.

"I guess you're right," Ashton nodded taking a deep breath. "Thank you Janie," he wrapped me in a hug.

Oh how I was gonna miss how close we are now. I'm gonna have to tell someone else everything, have a secret crush on someone else. Have someone else to help me with my Luke problem. Have someone else try and make me get over Luke even though I won't get over Luke ever. Have someone else be my Ashton, and sadly, that won't happen.

So Janie is attempting to stop being so obsessed with Luke. Guess what? That'll be harder to do if Ashton is in a relationship and not paying as much attention to dear Janie.
