(3rd Person POV)

Picking off from the previous chapter, Team RWBY, Qrow, Oscar, Dairoku, Kuraime, Maria and Artemis stood outside the closed gates of the Military Base, trying to get pass the guards.

Yang: Come on! You didn't even hear us out!

Guard 1: Our orders are clear! The Mistral-Atlas boarders are closed!

Guard 2: Please!

Guard 1: Have a good day!

Yang: But-

Guards: A GOOD DAY!

Kuraime: So fucking annoying...

Qrow: Hey, if you don't wanna believe that Dairoku, Kuraime and I are good friends with Ironwood-

Guards: GENERAL Ironwood!

Qrow: *rolls eyes* Yeah, General Ironwood, then fine. But look, we have Weiss Schnee with us and we're trying to get her home safely.

The guards inspected Weiss as she looked down.

Guards: Approach!

Weiss looked back at Celeste and Dairoku, who both nodded slightly before walking up to the guards.

Guards: Very well!

Guard 2: You may speak with our commanding officer!

Guard 1: We will fetch her at once!

They both spun on their heels before marching off to the base.

Guards: Hup, Hup, Hup! Atlas, Atlas, Atlas!

Dairoku: ...-_- What the fuck was that...?

Artemis: I have no idea partner...

Blake: They were... kind of-

Ruby: Super weird?

Kuraime: Nope. More like bat-shit crazy.

Weiss, Blake, Yang and Artemis: Yup.

Maria: Hmm...

Oscar: What's wrong?

Maria: Well, I... may know this commanding officer...

Ruby: That's good, isn't it? If she's your friend, then maybe she'd be more willing to help us.

Maria: I wouldn't exactly call us... friends...

Weiss: Acquaintances?

Maria: Not quite.

Blake: Colleagues?

Maria: Warmer.

Yang: ...Enemies...?

Maria: That's the one!

Oscar: Wait what?

Maria: Oh yes, I come through here about once every ten years to get my eyes checked up in Atlas. You bring outside cashews on one flight, and suddenly you're placed on the additional screaming list for life!

Kuraime: What... the...

Dairoku: ...Fuck...

Qrow: You've gotta be kidding me...

Maria: Now, now, let's not give up hope yet... Maybe she's dead!

Everyone showed expressions of horror except for Qrow, Dairoku and Kuraime who all deadpanned and Artemis snickered slightly. Everyone turned back to the base, to see the gates open and the guards return.

Guard 1: Introducing!

Guard 2: Special operative!

Guards: Caroline Cordovin!

At first, they saw no one until they looked down... An old tiny woman with a smug expression...

Dairoku: I'm just gonna say it... I already hate her... She's like if Cardin and James had a bitch of a baby...

Kuraime: I second that...

Cordo: Witch.

Maria: She-devil.

Cordo: Hmm, I've seen you're chosen larger contraband to smuggle this time.

Maria: Oh Cordo, you know they say time changes people, but I see you still got that stick right up your-

Ruby quickly chimed in.

Ruby: H-Hello! Ms, uh Cordovin. My name is Ruby Rose and I was wondering if you would hear us out about-

Cordo: I've already heard what your other little friends had to say, Ms. Rose. *notices JNR and RCT in the background* WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE!? I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE!

Nora attempted to charge in but Jaune and Ren held her back.

Nora: AND I TOLD YOU WE WOULDN'T QUIT UNTIL YOU LET US THROUGH!!!

Ren: Nice to see you again as well!

Tyros: NOT!

Cordo: You civilians are clearly incapable of comprehending the importance of our mission here in Argus. So allow me to say this slowly, with smaller words. This base, that relay tower, the very safety of Argus are all gifts from the glorious Kingdom of Atlas! And it is my duty to uphold them, as only I have the wit and tenacity for such a task.

Guard 1: Such wit!

Guard 2: Such tenacity!

Kuraime: *clearly angry* Alright, shut the fuck up already!

Cordo: How dare you interrupt my amazing speech!?

Dairoku: *steps in front of Kuraime* Back off you hag. You gonna let us through or not?

Cordo: Clearly you haven't heard us! The boarders are closed, and that's final! And even if they weren't, I wouldn't allow such an entity such as yourself to go through. Why not use those wings of yours to fly to Atlas?

Dairoku: *growls* Why you-

Kuraime: THAT'S IT!

Kuraime began glowing ominously and her pupils and irises disappeared as her eyes glowed white, similar to the times she transformed into her Devil's Trigger form as she stormed up to Cordo, only to be held back by Ruby and Blake.

Yang: Heads up old lady, I wouldn't piss off either of those two if I were you.*points to Kuraime and Dairoku, the latter standing there as an ominous blue aura surrounded him* One can literally unleashed hell upon you while the other could literally destroy your little base with one shot.

Cordo: No amount of threats, bargains or whatever you have is going to make me change my mind!

Maria: Especially not with that Atlesian stick up your ass.

Ruby: *trying to calm everyone down* Please, we know your kingdom had nothing to do with the Fall of Beacon. We were there.

Weiss: No one's happy about the Atlas Boarders or embargo, but I know General Ironwood is just worried. It's why we need to talk to-

Cordo: The General is no coward! Atlas is STRONG! If all the Kingdoms plan to make us their enemy, then so be it! ATLAS WILL PREVAIL!

Guards: ATLAS WILL PREVAIL!

Yang: Do you guys seriously have to do that...?

Kuraime: Atlas will prevail, my ass! If you really think so, why did they lose the Great War?

Artemis: Ooohhh ehehe!

Cordo grumbled before sighing.

Cordo: If Ms. Schnee has truly come to her senses and wishes to return to her family, then of course, the Atlas Military will escort her home. But the Kingdom will not be responsible for her "friends" of... questionable character.

She glanced at Blake, Dairoku and at Tyros and Celeste in the back. It was here, Kuraime just lost it.

Kuraime: Call the ambulance and the police because I'M ABOUT TO MURDER A BITCH!

She roared a demonic roar before attempting to pounce on Cordo but Ruby, Blake and Weiss quickly stopped her while Dairoku clenched his fist as his eyes flickered from Silver to Red. His hand strayed to one of his pistols and he immediately fired a shot into the air, startling everyone.

Dairoku: *distorted* What... did... you... say...?

Cordo began to back away in fear.

Dairoku: *distorted* Let... me ask... again... What. Did. You. Just. SAY!?

Ruby immediately ran from Kuraime and over to Dairoku, pulling him into a hug to calm him down.

Ruby: Please, stop DAIROKU!

Hearing the cry of his fiancé, Dairoku's eyes reverted back to silver and his aura disappeared, calming him down. He just sighed in disappointment.

Weiss: *to Cordo* And what is THAT supposed to mean?

Cordo: It means were done here.

The gates slammed as they walked back into the base.

Nora: Oh yeah!? Well you base looks... like a BIG DUMB BOOT!

Neo: *sarcastically* Got em'...

Jaune: Way to show her Nora...

After calming down Dairoku and Kuraime, RBY looked over to Weiss.

Weiss: I don't...

Ruby: Weiss, Celeste and I told you we wouldn't leave your side for a second. We'll find a way up to Atlas. Together.

Ruby placed her hand on Weiss shoulder while Kuraime did the same.

Kuraime: Together.

They both smiled at the ex-heiress, causing her to smile back at them.

Ruby: So... where are we going now?

Celeste: Yeah, what's the plan?

Qrow: The plan? The plan just got shut on our faces three times over. I'm going for a drink.

He turned around and began walking away with Ruby trying to talk to him

Ruby: Uncle Qrow, I really think we should try and come up with something...

He just ignored his niece and continued on his way. Then Dairoku soon after began to walk away.

Ruby: And where are you going?

Dairoku: ...Back to the house. I'm done dealing with this shit.

Ruby: But- *grabs his hand*

Dairoku: Look Ruby, we have no form of plan right now. So until then, I'm just gonna sit down and think about our shit of a situation. While I do that, tell the others about what the old wizard hid from us.

He shook her hand away before continuing his way, causing Ruby to look down in sadness.

Tyros: Alright, that's not normal.

Jaune: What's up with them?

Nora: If their gonna be jerks, then we'll just come up with something without them. I mean, we've got Ozpin with us! He usually knows what to do.

RWBY and Kuraime exchanged troubled looks while Oscar looked to the ground and Artemis sighed.

Neo: What's wrong...?

"YOU'LL BE NO BETTER THAN HER..."
CHAPTER 6: DEAD END

(3rd Person POV)

Everyone gathered within the living room of Saphron's house while Blake and Dairoku sat on the couch, the latter with his arms crossed in a serious manner. Jaune then punched a crack into the wall in a fit of rage.

Ruby: Jaune!

Jaune: Everything we did was for NOTHING!

Tyros: So that's why our chief's so upset right now...

Neo: So... Mom and Dad died for nothing...?

Celeste: And Penny, Pyrrha and Lauren, they all died for nothing as well...?

Blake: That's not true!

Nora: Really? Cause is sure does sound like it.

Blake: I... um...

Ren: If Salem can't be killed, then how are we supposed to win this?

. . .

Jaune: Wow... Great plan everyone!

Oscar: Look, none of this is great, we know. But we're not the bad guys here.

Jaune: Are we sure about that?

Oscar: What?

Jaune: *approaches Oscar* He's in your head, isn't he? Did you already know about this?

Weiss: He didn't know any of it!

Kuraime: Stop pinning the blame of him!

Jaune: How much longer can we even trust him!?

Yang: Jaune!

Jaune: How do we even know it's really him!? What if we have been talking to that liar this whole time!?

Dairoku: THAT'S ENOUGH JAUNE!

Dairoku immediately got up and stormed over to Jaune before grabbing his arm and pulling him away from Oscar.

Dairoku: Back off from the kid.

Jaune: Oh don't think you've gotten Scott Free Dairoku!

Dairoku: Huh..?

Jaune: *turns to face him* You had Athena in your head, you have Artemis in your head! Did they tell you about this!?

Artemis looked down while rubbing her arm.

Dairoku: What? No! And when Artemis heard the story, she was shocked! She didn't know half of it!

Jaune: How can we even trust her when she's the enemy of Athena!? How can we trust you for telling the truth when you kept stuff from us in the past!? Like how you trained with both Ruby and Yang's moms!?

Dairoku gritted his teeth in a fit of rage until...

*SLAP!!!*

The room fell silent and everyone put on expressions of shock when they saw, that Ruby was the one who slapped Jaune... He held his cheek in shock as he looked at his best friend, who clearly wasn't happy at all... In fact, she looked completely pissed, something that is very rare for Ruby...

Ruby: THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID BACK WHEN WE WERE GOING TO MISTRAL JAUNE! You blamed Dairoku for Pyrrha's death and now you're blaming him, Oscar, Artemis and Athena, someone who's not with us anymore, for this!? *sniffle as a tear falls from her eyes* ...I don't even know who you are anymore... All I see is an angry person blindly blaming others... *gestures to Dairoku* especially the ones who are hurting as much, if not more than you... At this rate, you'll be no better than her, than Salem... than Cinder...

Jaune's eyes widen in shock from Ruby's words before he looked at everyone else, who all dawned saddened and disappointed expressions. Then he looked at Oscar, who was cowering behind Dairoku and then at him himself, whose face showed no form of emotion... In fact, he looked completely drained of emotion, even after Ruby latched herself to his arm to try and comfort him... Realizing the situation, he sighed before he walked upstairs.

Yang: Is he... gonna be okay?

Nora: I don't know!

Nora then followed after her leader.

Ren: I think it would be best if we had some time to think for ourselves.

He too got up and began making his way to the stairs before stopping and looking at Dairoku with an apologetic look.

Ren: I'm sorry for how he acted, Dairoku. We still trust you. *looks at Oscar and Artemis* All of you.

With that, he joined his teammates upstairs.

Ruby: *slightly tearful* Daiku... are you...?

Dairoku: *frustrated sigh* I... need time alone...

He took Ruby off his arm and walked out of the house entirely.

Ruby: *tear jerking* Dairoku...

Blake: *touches Ruby's shoulder* Maybe we could all use some space...

(Gonna skip Ruby and Maria's Conversation)

Ruby: You said the light only reacts to Grimm, but... I used it during our battle at Haven. It reacted to Cinder.

Maria: Interesting... Perhaps there was something that you just weren't seeing?

Before Ruby could respond, Yang came running out onto the porch.

Yang: Ruby!

Ruby: *turns around* Oh, hey guys.

Team JNR, RCST without Dairoku and Artemis came into the living room

Jaune: What's going on?

Blake: ...It's Oscar... He's missing...

Kuraime:*shock* Oh no...

Ruby's eyes widen...
