(3rd Person POV)

It was a night with a full moon at Haven Academy while Teams RWY, RCS, JNR, Neo, Qrow and Oscar made their way towards the main building of the Academy to meet with Leonardo, with Qrow leading the way. As they entered, they were immediately greeted by Leonardo who was standing on the upper level, above a statue.

Leo: Why hello. Thank you for, uh coming. There... seems to be more of you than last time.

Qrow: Eh, you know what they say, the more the merrier. So what's going on with the council?

Leo: *nervous* Why... did you bring your weapons?

Qrow: What? Leo, we're Huntsmen. Are you okay?

Leo: Of course. Of course, sorry. Just haven't had my evening coffee.

Qrow: Look it's nice to see you but we've got work to do. Are we getting support from the council or not?

Athena telepathically: He's stalling for something...

Dairoku's thoughts: Yeah...

Yang looked up to her right to see... a bird perched on the railing... more specifically... a raven...

Yang: Mom?

Leo: Huh?

Immediately, the bird flew towards Leo as Qrow took out is Harbinger and shot at it. Then, it transformed into Raven, and she stood next to Leo.

Dairoku: Raven...

Nora: They... They really are magic...

Neo: You don't say.

Raven: *takes off mask* A pleasure seeing you again Dairoku Rein. You seem just as strong as ever though I must say that I'm disappointed to see you with them.

Dairoku just scowled at her.

Raven: *turns to Qrow* Oh, and if you're going to shoot me, shoot me. That was insulting.

Qrow: What are you doing here!?

Raven: *walks down stairs* I could ask you the same thing. You've been scheming little brother, planning to attack your own sister.

Qrow: Leo... what have you done?!

Leo: I-I...

Raven: Leo did what any sane person would do in his position. He looked at all the information he had in front of him, assessed the situation, and made a choice. And it seems you all have too. *gesturing to Yang and Dairoku*

Yang snarled at her mother while Dairoku clenched his fist tightly.

Qrow: You have the spring Maiden.

Raven: I do.

Qrow: Then hand her over and let's work together, we can beat Salem!

Raven: All that time spent spying for Ozpin and you still have no idea what you're dealing with? There is NO beating Salem!

Ruby: You're wrong... We've done things most people would call impossible and I know the only reason we were able to do it is because we didn't do it alone. *walks up closer to Raven* We had people to teach us, people to help us, we had each other. Work with us. At least I know we'll have a better chance if we try together. *holds hand out to Raven* Please...

Raven looked at Ruby's hand before looking at her...

Raven: You sound, just like your mother.

She suddenly slashed open a portal which a fire ball came blazing through and crashed into Ruby.

Yang and Dairoku: Ruby!

???: Hello boys and girls.

From the portal walked out Cinder, Vernal, Mercury, Emerald and Lauren.

Ruby: Cinder...

Dairoku: Lauren...

Lauren just winked at him.

Mercury: C'mon guys, is that any way to treat your old 'friends'?

Yang and Kuraime scowled at him.

Qrow: Everybody stay calm.

Suddenly the main doors opened as Hazel walked through.

Oscar: Oh no...

Hazel: The White Fang is prepping demolition and is securing the school grounds. No one's getting in, and no one's getting out.

Outside, the White Fang members were planting bombs onto Haven Academy's CCT tower as Adam oversee it.

Adam: Once the charges are set, move back to perimeter watch. Tonight, Haven falls!

CHAPTER 12: BATTLE AT HAVEN PART 1

(3rd Person POV)

Back inside, everyone was surrounded by Raven, Cinder, Emerald, Lauren, Mercury and Hazel.

Weiss: This was all just a trap?

Ren: It appears so...

Dairoku: I knew something wasn't right... but this...?

Qrow: Raven... Tell me... How long have you been with them?

Cinder: Aww don't take it personally little bird, your sister was a recent addition. The lion on the other hand, entrance into the Vytal Festival was a real treat. But Leonardo has been sending Salem all sorts of information for a very, very long time. Isn't that right, 'professor'?

Leo: *ashamed* Stop it...

Qrow: It was you... you sit on the Mistral council... You had information on every Huntsman and Huntress in the kingdom...And you gave them all to her...?

Leo: ...I...

Qrow: I couldn't find any of them... because you let her kill them... You... knew about Kai's last mission... He was supposed to go to Atlas... and he was going to pass through here... You let her kill him too...

Dairoku, Celeste and Neo's eyes widen in shock before they glared at Leonardo.

Neo: W-What...?

Dairoku: You... It was you...? Leo...?

Cinder: Aww now, don't beat yourself up about it Lionheart. I'm sure Tyrian, Hazel and Lauren would have found them on their own eventually.

Jaune: What is wrong with you...? How could you be so broken inside...? To take so many lives and then come here and rub it in our faces like it's something to be proud of...

Nora: Jaune...?

Jaune: *snaps* ALL WITH THAT DAMN SMILE ON YOUR FACE!

Tears began streaming down from Jaune's eyes as everyone drew their weapons, but Dairoku just stood there, radiating a thin aura, flickering from red to blue.

Qrow: Everybody, stay calm!

Kuraime: No offence but calm isn't relevant right now.

Jaune: I'm going to make you pay for what you did, do you hear me!?

Qrow: Kid!

Jaune: Well!? SAY SOMETHING!

Cinder: Who are you again?

Barbatos: *ROAR*

Everyone quickly looked to see the Beast of Vengeance directly behind Dairoku as his aura radiated.

Dairoku: You... You... Killed them...

Ruby: Dairoku?

Dairoku: Pyrrha... My Dad... *growls* You're... YOU'RE... DAMN IT ALL!!! BARBATOS!!!

His aura skyrocketed into a multicolored pillar of energy until it died down to reveal Dairoku in his new, Barbatos Exia form, with his Glacial Blaze in hind. Lauren smirked, seeing this form.

Dairoku: You will pay... You'll all pay... FOR KILLING THEM!!!

His jets spit out a greenish blue flame before he charged in.

Lauren: YES! FINALLY SOME ACTION! C'MON BALE!

Bale: Yeah! Let's smash him to pieces!

As the Beast of Spite appeared behind Lauren, she got coated within a golden aura before the armor covered her and she rushed into towards Dairoku with her Euthanasia equipped.

Closing the distance, both armored warriors traded blows, each one creating a slight shockwave.

Ruby: Dairoku!

While that was happening, Jaune transformed his Cores Mors into its two handed form before rushing Cinder who block a strike with a fire sword she created. Ruby tried to rush in before Emerald dragged her down with her chains.

Emerald: You're not getting near her.

And Yang and Kuraime rushed in, they were stopped by Mercury.

Mercury: Hey there Blondie and Goth chick. I thinking you both owe me an apology for my legs. Don't you think?

Kuraime: Oh really? Then how about I rip them off again!?

Kuraime shot off a shot behind her, sending her flying towards Mercury as Yang did the same.

Raven: *to Vernal* Take out the Heiress. Don't bother wasting your power, she's not worth it.

Raven immediately blocked a slash from Qrow and stared him dead in the eyes.

Qrow: Running away was one thing but THIS? You've crossed the line.

Raven: Sorry brother, sometimes family disappoints you like that.

Qrow: We're not family anymore.

Raven: Were we ever?

Qrow: I thought so, but I guess I was wrong. 

The two then began jumping around the place while trading slashes as Vernal approaches Weiss and Celeste.

Vernal: Let's see what the Schnee name really means.

Weiss: *points Myrtenaster* I'm more than a name.

Vernal: Hmm. Prove it.

Celeste walked up to Weiss, Indigo StormCrest in dual blade mode. The two partners nodded before rushing Vernal. All the while, Oscar was sneaking his way up to Leonardo as Ren, Nora and Neo approached Hazel.

Hazel: I don't wish to fight any of you.

Neo: Yeah?

Ren: Nor I you.

Nora: But we will if you're with her.

Hazel: *cracks neck* Very well then.

He slowly approached the trio in an intimidating manor. In the mean time, Leonardo was overseeing the fight. Then he turned around to see Oscar, walking up to him.

Leo: Young man, I don't know who you are, or what you think you're doing, but for your sake, I suggest you leave, now.

Oscar just ignored him and continued to walk up to him.

Leo: I'm warning you!

A strange gadget with Dust cartridges unfolded onto his left arm. Oscar didn't budge.

Leo: That's enough!

He spun the wheel on his weapon as I landed on Fire then again for it to land on Wind, creating a fire ball that he launched at Oscar who tanked it. When the smoke cleared, Leo was shocked to see him still standing, but with a slight green shimmer signifying his Aura. Oscar continued his way before taking out the Long Memory, and extending it...

Leo: *shocked* Ozpin...!?

Oscar: *smirk* Not quite.

He rushed Leonardo hitting him multiple times with swings from his cane. Leonardo tried to defend but was getting pushed back relatively easily and eventually, he got knocked back.

Leo: This can't be... I knew you'd be back but you made it here... you found Qrow...! How!?

Ozpin telepathically: Leo... What happened to you?

Leo: Wait, you can't of had this form for long... You're... not really Ozpin right now. A boy... a child. If I deliver you to Salem, she'll have to be pleased with me... and I can finally get out of all this... I can finally be free!

Leonardo got into a stance with his weapon as Oscar looked a bit nervous.

Oscar: What do I do?

Ozpin telepathically: Fight.

With Dairoku and Lauren, the two flew around the inside of the building, trading slashes with one another. Eventually, Dairoku managed hit Lauren back with one of his wings before closing the distance on her and pining her to a wall with Glacial Blaze.

Lauren: Ah, this battle's amazing don't you agree Darling? You're so much more powerful now!

Dairoku: *growls* Won't you ever shut up!?

Unfortunately for him, the glowing purple orb on Lauren's armor chest, began glowing brightly before...

Athena: Look out!

Dairoku: Huh!?

Seeing the orb light up, Dairoku quickly moved away from her as a purple beam was shot from her chest.

Bale telepathically: You know, that's not my sister's final form

Lauren's thoughts: Really now...?

Lauren: Darling how could you! You promised me that our next meet would be our final battle and you promised me that you'd have Barbatos' full potential! Ugh, I guess I'll have to resort to killing you friends and that Rosie girl to get what I want.

Immediately Dairoku rushed her and slashed downward, only for her to catch them with her Euthanasia.

Dairoku: You... won't TOUCH THEM!!!

With Weiss and Celeste, the two were bouncing/flying around as Vernal threw her blades at them. Weiss deflected at shot from her before being sent into a pillar. Celeste then rushed in a slashed both with her Indigo StormCrest and her Ethereal Blades at Vernal only for her to block them and start counter attacking while Weiss began to try and summon her Arma Gigas. As it began rising, it was suddenly destroyed by Celeste being knocked into it by a beam and then she slammed into Weiss. Celeste's Aura was broken as her Ethereal Blades disappeared.

Vernal: Don't think I'm going to let you take the easy way out.

With Jaune, he got pushed back by Cinder and she began to taunt him.

Cinder: Oh, I'm starting to remember you. You're the dense one that can't tell when he's out of his league.

Angered further, Jaune got up and slashed at Cinder while Ruby was continuously reflecting bullets from Emerald.

Ruby: Why are you doing this!? Salem-

Emerald: I don't care about Salem but I owe Cinder everything. You wanna fight her that bad? Be my guess.

Emerald activated her Semblance as fire rose up and Cinder suddenly rushed at Ruby, though she faded when she got close. Emerald then ran up to her and swiped her legs, causing her to accidentally fire off a shot from Crescent Rose that barely missed Celeste and Weiss. The two continued to block Vernal's bullets before Weiss sent her over with a Gravity Glyph. She attempted to summon again but was interrupted and shot in the back. The two began to trade blows with the Spring Maiden, Vernal clearly gaining the upper hand on the two of them. Celeste again, rushed at her while Weiss tried to summon but Vernal quickly threw Celeste into a wall and rushed over to Weiss, interlocking her weapon with hers and firing off lasers into her abdomen, breaking her Aura and causing her to cry out in pain.

Jaune looked over and his eyes widen as he saw Weiss.

Cinder: Are you going to let her die too?

Jaune: Stop messing with me!

Cinder: If that's what you want.

She held pointed her sword at him as it exploded. It was now purely flame. The two charged at each other but when Ruby saw them, her eyes widen as she... Then had two flashbacks, one of Pyrrha dying to Cinder and the other of Dairoku getting slashed in the back by Cinder...

Ruby: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Her eyes shimmered before a blinding white light, the same one that appeared on top of Beacon tower, filled the room but immediately, Emerald knocked Ruby out. Cinder immediately fell to her knees, holding where her left arm should as if it was in pain as a sizzling sound was heard before Jaune thrust his blade at her head but she barely dodged it, causing her eye patch to get chipped. He then fell over and Cinder walked up to him, clearly mad with the Maiden's flame flowing from her eye. She stepped on Jaune's chest, holding him down.

Cinder: Did you think you actually had a chance against me!? YOU!?

Jaune tried to reach for his weapon but it was just out of his reach. Cinder sort of calmed down as her Maiden flame disappeared

Cinder: You're just a failure with a death wish.

Jaune: *grunts* If I die buying them time, then it's worth it. They're the ones that matter.

He looked over as her saw Ren, Nora and Neo battling with Hazel as Dairoku was taking on Lauren in the air and Yang and Kuraime were taking on Mercury.

Cinder: *smirks* You think so?

She glared at Weiss who was just thrown to the ground but she slowly got onto her knees... Cinder began walking towards her as a Maiden version of Pyrrha's Miló in javelin form was formed in her hand

Jaune: No...

She aimed at Weiss...

Jaune: NOO!!!

Before she threw it and...

*IMPALE*

Weiss' eyes widen in horror as she was pushed out of the way... But who was in her place... It was Celeste... She took the javelin to the back and it came out of her chest... Causing her to lose a lot of blood and begin gasping for air... Everyone stopped fighting, seeing this horrific turn of events... Tears falling down Jaune's eyes...

Kuraime: N-No...

Dairoku's eyes were as wide as dinner plates behind his helmet at Lauren grinned evilly.

Lauren: Oh boo hoo.

Athena telepathically: Oh No...

Weiss: *tearful and shocked*...C-Celeste...?

Celeste just sadly smiled at Weiss before reaching to touch her cheek... but, her hand quickly fell as the light faded from her eyes and she fell into Weiss' arms while the javelin... disintegrated...
