(Dairoku's POV)

After flying for around 2 hours with Barbatos, I made it to a docks where I could take a ship to Anima; thankfully, it wasn't that far from my starting point so I didn't use up too much energy flying. After paying the fee, I got on the boat and in a few minutes, I was off to Anima... This was gonna be a long trip so I might as well get comfortable...

Right now, it was my fifth day on the ship and I was relaxing near the stern, just looking out in the horizon. All this trip, I had spoken to Athena and she told me a few new abilities Barbatos had in this Kaiser form, one of which was the "Barbatos Blaster", the thing I used on Roman which killed him... I completely forgot that I killed a man... something I've never done... I mean, I nearly killed Cardin that one time, but that's just it, nearly... It feels... weird... not sure if I like it thought... I should try to refrain from killing... well, besides Cinder... that bitch deserves to die... especially after what she did to Amber and Pyrrha...

???: Traveling alone are we?

I turned to see the Captain walking up to me.

Me: You could say that.

Captain: I see. This is the second time I've encountered a Faunus travelling alone, let alone a winged one.

Me: Faunus you say?

Captain: That's right. A mysterious young lady that had on a black bow. But, she ended up having company, a young man that looked very similar to her and a blond kid with a monkey tail.

This peeked my interest.

Me: Do you by chance know the names of those three?

Captain: Hmm... I think I overheard something, about their names being Blake, Tyros and Sun.

Me: And let my take a guess, they took your boat to Menagerie?

Captain: That's right. Are you acquaintances with them?

Me: You can say that. Tyros is my teammate while Blake and Sun are my friends.

Captain: I see... Well, not often to people travel alone to Anima, let alone Faunus so you mind telling me why?

Me: Well, I'm looking for my two sisters and my girlfriend; they're supposed to be traveling to Mistral. You see, I woke up from a coma a few weeks ago and they left without saying anything. So I'm going after them.

Captain: I see.

Me: Did you by chance run into them, a girl in a red hooded cloak, a Faunus girl with crow wings and a girl with pink and brown hair, and had an umbrella?

Captain: Hmm... I don't recall. They probably took another boat.

Me: Oh okay.

Captain: Well, I should go back to steering this vessel. Enjoy the trip, but it could get awfully boring.

He began walking away.

Athena telepathically: Well he seems... interesting.

My thoughts: Oh you're one to talk. The Beast of Vengeance turns out to be a cheery, quirky girl.

Athena telepathically: HEY! You meanie! Hmph!

My thoughts: Hehehe... Anyways, what do these other abilities do?

Athena telepathically: Oh right! First of all, you know about the Barbatos Shot and Barbatos Blaster. There are two more you can use in your current Kaiser Form. The first one is called, Barbatos Stryker. It ditches some of the extra armor and streamlines the armor to enhance your movements by a tenfold. The other is called, Barbatos Guardian. It gives you heavier and bulkier armor that increases defense but hinders mobility. It also gives you these giant rocket boosters on your arms for devastating punches.

My thoughts: Wow... Just how powerful are you...?

Athena telepathically: Ehehehe!

Suddenly, the boat rocked violently...

Me: What the hell was that!?

Athena telepathically: I think we have company, and not the good kind!

I ran up to the bow of the ship only to sigh in annoyance... It was a Sea Feilong Grimm...

Captain: Another one!? Ugh, get to your battle stations!

Another one huh? It sounds like they recently encountered one.

Me: So... I guess we're in for a fight. You ready Athena?

(BTW When, Athena talks through the necklace, it'll be done in the normal format)

Athena: Heh, I'm born ready!

Me: Then let's get to it! BARBATOS!!!

I heard the roar of the Beast of Vengeance as it appeared behind me, slowly pulling me into its grasp.

When I finished transforming, the Barbatos wings extended to their maximum wingspan before jetting out its red energy, sending me into the air and to the face of the winged sea dragon. As it roared, the Sea Feilong charged up an electrical shot and fired at me, which I dodged with ease. I reached for my father's Raising Moon in twin pistol mode and I aimed it at the Sea Feilong, firing Dust shots that seemingly aggravated it.

Athena: Hmm... Its skin is too thick for your bullets.

Me: I noticed. Guess we gotta get up and personal with this bastard.

I holstered Raising Moon on my thighs before reaching for Glacial Blaze and charging the Grimm. I began unleashing a flurry of slashes, similar to the time I did to the Cyclops Grimm.

Then I swung my whip around, slashing off its 'whiskers' before firing off three Barbatos Shots at it, disorienting it.

Then I thrust Glacial forwards but the Sea Feilong caught it with one of its arms then it fired off its lightning beam at me. I managed to block it with the shield of Akoúo Sins but the impact pushed me back towards the ship. Thankfully I managed to slow my fall enough to land safely on the bow... but damn, that had some kick to it...

Athena: It's smarter than usual.

Me: No kidding...

Captain: Huntsman!

I turned to see the Captain come out of the bridge.

Me: Listen to me! I'll take on the Sea Feilong while you and your crew focus on keeping the ship out of the way! And don't fire the cannons 'cause you'll just aggravate it!

He seemed hesitant but agreed nonetheless. After shouting the order to his crewmates, I began flying again as the ship got out of the way.

Me: I think it's time to go all out, don't you think Athena?

Athena: REALLY!? Ohhh Yes!!! Finally! Let's do it!!!

Me: Right!

I sheathed Glacial Blaze before I began my onslaught of attacks.

Me: Barbatos Blaster!

With the tail retracting into my helmet and the cannons popping out from by back, I aimed at the Sea Feilong. They quickly charged up before firing off a large red beam of pure destruction that managed to melt away the sails on its wings.

Me: Barbatos Guardian!

Then the cannons disappeared and my armor suddenly bulked up, with two giant gauntlets attaching to my arms. Then I literally punched the Sea Feilong in its face. With the help of the rocket booster on the back of the gauntlets, the force of the punch managed to completely shatter some a rock formation in the sea and created a decently sized wave.

Me: Barbatos Stryker!

Then all of that armor completely purged itself, making my armor completely aerodynamic and streamline. My speed had increased significantly, I was basically as fast if not faster than Kuraime and Ruby. I spiraled around the Sea Feilong's snake-like figure, while slashing at it with my whip, even severing its two arms...

Now, it was time to end this... I flew up into the air as my armor reverted back to normal and the chest glowed a bright fiery color... Time to unleash the phoenix!

Me: DAWN!!!

The phoenix screeched as it flew from my chest in a fiery attack towards the Sea Feilong. Once it made contact, the Grimm completely disintegrated... Not too soon after, my armor disengaged and I began falling...

Me: Heh... not bad...

Then I lost conscience...

I felt a sharp pain in my head as my eyes slowly opened. I had to shield my eyes since, the sun was really bright... I groaned in irritation from the brightness... The light died down and I saw that I was still on the boat... and there were people surrounding me, including the captain.

Me: Ugh... what happened...?

Captain: You single handedly took out that massive Grimm. How are you feeling son?

Me: Um... slightly tired but alright.

Captain: Well, after all you did, it's to be expected. Anyways, we're about to make land on Anima.

He began to walk away as the crowd I had around me also began walking away...

My thoughts: Athena, I blacked out right?

Athena telepathically: Yup! Using all of those Barbatos forms took a lot out of you but you'll still have enough energy to travel to a village.

I sighed in relieve as our ship hit the land... We finally had arrived on Anima...

Currently, I was walking along this path through the continent...

Me: Athena, do you know what's the closest village?

Athena: Hmm... Currently, the closest secure village is Higanbana. It's a well protected village with a popular Inn. If you were to transform and start flying now, you'll reach there by nightfall.

Me: Alright then, that's our next stop! Barbatos!

I quickly transformed and took to the skies quickly... Higanbana, here I come!

That was just a short chapter that is going to set up everything in chapter 6. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not necessarily proud of it but eh, just need a filler one.
