(Dairoku's POV)

So I was walking around Vale with Team RWBY because Weiss dragged us all out to see the Vytal Festival. When we came up to the sign that said, 'Welcome to Vale', Weiss looked at it before sighing happily.

Weiss: The Vytal Festival! Oh this is absolutely wonderful!

Ruby: I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss, its kinda weirding me out...

Me: And here I was, starting to like the cold and slightly obnoxious Weiss.

Weiss: Hey! Zip it you! How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the culture of the world! There will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breath taking!

Yang: Wow... You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring.

Weiss: Quiet you.

As we were walking, heard my scroll go off. The girls turned to look at me as I took it out; it was a message from my team.

Me: Nice, their almost back.

Ruby: Who's almost back?

Me: My team. They just messaged me that their ship will be touching down tonight.

Yang: Cool! I've always been waiting to meet them. What are they like?

Blake: I'm curious myself.

Weiss: As am I

Me: Hmm... I'll just say that their... very interesting to say the least... But, I'll be sure to introduce them to you when they get here; I think you guys will get along just fine. Weiss you already know that one of them is 'handicapped' but I'll just say, it doesn't affect her abilities as a Huntress... just... her communication... And another is... a lot like Blake, just... not as moody... and a bit of a glutton...

Weiss, Yang and Ruby looked like they were trying to debug what I just said. I then turned to Blake.

Me: And Blake, you've... actually met one of them before.

Blake: I... have...?

Me: Yup. I'll leave it to you to figure it out.

Yang: Anyways, Weiss. Can you remind me why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?

Ruby: Ugh... they smell like fish...

Me: Well, fish DO live in the ocean Little Rose... sooooo...

Ruby pouted at be before punching my arm, which actually begat hurting a tiny bit.

Me: That... actually hurt a bit.

Ruby: Well I have been drinking plenty of milk!

Ruby said that, looking and sounding proud with her hands on her hips. Oh... Gods forgive me, as I'm about to shatter a girl's world.

Me: Little Rose.

Ruby: Yes?

Me: Chocolate Milk, doesn't count.

Ruby: What!!?? Of course it does!

Me: No, it doesn't.

Ruby pouted again before attempting to assault me with punches but I just used my wings to keep her at bay, as I listened to Weiss talk.

Weiss: If you must know Yang, I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom.

I just raised an eyebrow at her before Blake leaned next to me and said

Blake: She just wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament.

Me: Huh, I figured.

Weiss: Ugh, you can't prove that!

Me: Sure... Still remember that time you spied on me sparring with Pyrrah outside the school

Weiss: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Me: Ha, suuurrreee Snowflake.

As we were having our usual bickering session, we heard Ruby whisper something that caught our attention...

Ruby: Woah...

We looked at her to see her staring in a particular direction. We followed her gaze to see a dust shop with broken windows and yellow hazard tape...

My thoughts: Oh great... not another one... But... this was the White Fang, wasn't it...

CHAPTER 9: THE STRAY; SIBLINGS REUNITED

(Dairoku's POV)

RWBY and I walked to the Dust shop where two policemen were inspecting; this robbery seemed fresh too...

Ruby: What happened here?

Cop 1: Robbery. Second Dust shop hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle.

Yang: That's terrible.

Cop 2: They left all the money too.

Ruby: Huh?

Cop 1: Yeah, just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?

Cop 2: I dunno, ya know what I mean?

Cop 1: You thinking the White Fang huh?

Cop 2; Ya, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough.

Me: Hmm... The Fang...?

Weiss: Hmph. The White Fang. What an awful bunch of degenerates.

Blake: What's your problem?

My thoughts: Oh no... Here we go...

Weiss: My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane.

Blake: The White Fang are hardly a bunch of psychopaths. They're a collection of misguided Faunus.

Weiss looked at Blake, dumbfounded.

Weiss: Misguided? They want to wipe humanity off of the face of the planet!

Me: Blake does have a point... I was never a part of the Fang because I've never agreed in their methods... But, their cause for equality is just.

Blake: Thank you! But either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale.

Ruby: Hmm... Blake's got a point... Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy Dairoku and I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him.

Me: That too...

Weiss: Well that doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum. Those Faunus only know how to lie, cheat and steal.

Me: Umm... Hello... I'm right here Ice Queen.

Weiss: Hey!

Our attention was suddenly grabbed by shouting from back at the docks. When we got there, we saw two sailors chasing a monkey Faunus boy.

Sailor 1: Hey! Stop that Faunus!

He ran across the boat before stopping at the edge of it to look at the two sailors.

Monkey: Thanks for the ride guys!

He then jumped off it and began running along the docks before jumping again

Sailor 2: You no good stowaway!

The Monkey Faunus was hanging upside down with his tail while peeling a banana.

Monkey: Hey! A 'no good stowaway' would have been caught! I'm a great stowaway!

Me: ...Can't disagree there...

Cop 1: Hey! Get down from there this instant!

The Monkey Faunus' answer was to drop the banana peel onto the cop's face, annoying him. He pulled himself up to a crouching position on top of the post before laughing, jumping off and running away. He ran past us but while he did, he winked at Blake who seemed slightly surprised.

Me: Umm... That happened...

Yang: Well Weiss, you wanted to see the competition, and there it goes...

Weiss: Quick! We have to observe him!

Ruby, Weiss and Yang began to chase after the Monkey boy while Blake just stood there, in deep thought...

Me: Hey, you doing alright Kitty?

Blake: H-Huh? Y-Yes, I'm fine

Me: Hmm... Alright, let's catch up to them.

She nodded and we began running after the others. When we turned the corner, we saw Ruby and Yang standing there while Weiss was on the ground with a ginger girl. We also just caught the end of the chase as the Monkey boy jumped away.

Weiss: No he got away!

Yang: Uhh... Weiss?

Yang pointed to the girl that Weiss was currently on top of. When she looked down, the girl smiled and waved as Weiss just jumped up, frightened.

Ginger: Sal-u-ta-tions!

Ruby: Um... Hello.

Yang: Are you... okay?

Ginger: I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking!

The team looked at each other confusingly before looking back at her

Yang: Uhh... Do you... want to get up?

Ginger:... Yes!

She flipped herself up, causing the team to back away from her.

Ginger: My name is-

Me: Hey Penny.

She paused before staring at me with stars in her eyes. The she quickly sped past the girls and up to me, giving me a big and... really tight bear hug... Please... Help me...

Penny: Dairoku!!! It is so good to see you!

I just patted her head while struggling to breath

Me: ...Likewise... Penny... Now... can you... please... spare my... life...?

She nodded and broke the hug.

Weiss: Wait Dairoku, you know this girl?

Before I even had the chance to remotely answer, Penny stepped in front of me.

Penny: Salutations! My name is Penny! It is a pleasure to meet you! And I am Dairoku's girlfriend!

My thoughts: Oh no Penny... In three... two... one...

RWBY: GIRLFRIEND!?!?!

I just sighed and shook my head

Ruby: I... I didn't know you had a girlfriend...

I saw Ruby looking down and sad... Oh great...

Me: Hold up! Before we come to conclusions, Penny here is NOT my girlfriend.

Penny: Am I not? But, I'm a girl and your friend. Am I not your girlfriend?

Me: *sigh* Penny... Being a girl that is my friend and being my girlfriend are two COMPLETELY different things...

Penny:... I do not see the difference...

I just face palmed as Yang rested her arm on my shoulder.

Yang: She doesn't get out much, does she?

Me: That's one way of putting it...

Ruby: So... you don't have a girlfriend?

Ruby sounded slightly hopeful

Me: Nope. I'm completely free Little Rose.

Ruby just sighed in relieve to Yang's amusement. I just shook my head as Penny walked up to us.

Penny: So Dairoku, who are your acquaintances?

Me: Oh, they're my friends from Beacon. Introduce yourselves guys.

Ruby: Hi Penny, I'm Ruby.

Weiss: I'm Weiss

Blake: Blake.

Yang: Are you sure you didn't hit your head...?

Blake and I just elbowed her before she cleared her throat.

Yang: Oh! I'm Yang.

Penny: It's a pleasure to meet you!

Weiss: You already said that.

Penny: ...So I did!

Weiss: Well... Sorry for running into you!

We all began to walk away.

Me: Talk to you later Penny.

Ruby: Take care, friend!

As we were walking away, Yang decided to speak

Yang: She was... weird...

Me:  Well, Penny does have a trend of giving people that impression when they first meet her.

Weiss: Now, where did that Faunus riff raff run off to?

I looked back up to see Penny directly in front of us... When did she...?

Penny: What did you just call me?

Weiss was looking back and forth between Penny's original position and her new one with a confused as hell look while Yang looked... somewhat scared...

Yang: Oh, I'm really sorry! I definitely didn't think you heard me!

Me: Yang...!

Penny: No, not you. *walked past us and straight to Ruby* You!

Ruby: M-Me? I-I don't know... I, what I... Um... Uh...

Penny: You called me friend! Am I really your friend?

My thoughts: Uh oh...

Ruby: Umm...

She looked at all of us; the rest of the girls gesturing for her to say no while I sighed and shrugged...

Ruby: Y-Yeah... Sure... Why not?

Weiss Blake and Yang just flopped over with derpy eyes while I just sighed... Then all of a sudden, I was dragged down too, by Yang.

Me: Ahh! H-Hey!

Penny: Ahahah! Sen-sational! I now have a girlfriend!

My Thoughts: Oh no... Not this again...

Ruby: Wait... Wha...

Penny: We can paint our nails, and try on clothes and talk about cute boys like Dairoku!

I just pointed to myself innocently, not knowing what to do...

Me: First Weiss and now you...? Oh please help me...

Yang: Wow... you weren't kidding...

Me: Nope...

Ruby looked at me while blushing madly before turning to Weiss, who was next to her.

Ruby: Oh... is this what it was like when you met me?

Weiss: No, she seems... far more coordinated.

Yang: So... What are you doing in Vale?

Penny: I'm here to fight in the tournament.

Me: Really now?

Weiss: Wait... you're fighting in the tournament?

Penny: I'm combat ready!

Weiss: Forgive me but, you hardly look the part.

Me and Blake: Says the girl wearing a dress.

I held my hand up and Blake and I gave each other a high five.

Weiss: It's a combat skirt.

Ruby: Yeah!

Then Weiss held her hand out for Ruby to give her a high five... or in their case, a low five...? I dunno... Don't judge me.

Me: What's even the difference?

Ruby: Well, a combat skirt is used for combat! A normal skirt, isn't

I just looked at her dumbfounded...

Me: Wha... You know what...? I won't ask...

Weiss: Wait a minute. If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey tailed... rapscallion?

I peeped at Blake who seemed to be getting angry...

Penny: The who?

Weiss: The filthy Faunus from the boat!

Weiss pulled out a very poorly drawn picture of the Monkey Boy...

Me: When did you have time to draw that...?

Weiss: Do not question my ways!

Blake: Why do you keep saying that!?

We all turned to look at Blake.

Weiss: Huh?

Blake: Stop calling him a rapscallion! Stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!

Weiss: Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to stop referring to the trash can as a trash can, or the lamp post as a lamp post?

Me: That was... unnecessary...

Blake: Stop it!

Weiss: Stop what!? He clearly broke the law. Give him time; he'll probably join up with those other Faunus in the White Fang.

My eye twitched a bit when she said that.

Blake: Ugh you ignorant little brat!

Blake began to angrily storm off

Weiss: How dare you talk to me like that! I am your teammate!

Blake: You are a judgmental little girl.

Weiss: What in the world makes you say that!?

Blake: The mere fact that you would sort that Faunus boy with a terrorist group solely based on his species makes you just as much as a scoundrel as you believe him to be!

The two continued to argue and argue while Yang and Ruby stood next to me, both worried... I just sighed in annoyance and worry at this...

Yang: Um... I think we should probably go...

Penny: Where are we going?

Me: We'll... see you later Penny...

Weiss: If I was then I would have done the same with Dairoku! And now you admit that the White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!

Me: Don't bring me into this...

Blake: First of all, leave Dairoku out of this! And that's not what I meant and you know it!

And they continued and continued... By now, it was nighttime and they were STILL arguing. I was standing next one of the beds, leaning against it with my arms crossed just trying to figure out how to defuse the situation...

Weiss: You realize you're defending an organization that hates humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!

Blake: There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like YOU that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!

Weiss: People like me!?!?

Blake: You're discriminatory!

Weiss: I'm a victim!

I finally had enough...

Me: ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU!!!

Everyone looked at me shocked at me raising my voice.

Me: I've been listening to the both of you argue for about three hours no, and frankly, neither of you doesn't have the slightest idea of what the hell you are talking about.

Blake and Weiss: Excuse me!?

Me: Do either of you have an idea what it's like to be on the opposite side of your arguments?

They just stayed quiet.

Me: Weiss. Do you have any idea of what it feels like to be mistreated and looked down on just for having some animal traits?

I flared my wings up at bit when saying this.

Me: Calling yourself a victim when your grouping innocent Faunus with the White Fang when they're trying their hardest to live in peace, is nothing but hypocritical.

Weiss wanted to say something but couldn't and just looked down.

Me: Blake. Do you have any idea what it feels like to be attacked by the White Fang? Like I said before, I agree with their cause but that doesn't justify their actions; that's the main reason why I was never a part of them in the first place.

She too tried to say something but ultimately didn't.

Me: *sigh* Just accept the fact that you both have DIFFERENT views and you're both right and wrong.

Weiss: Even so, it doesn't change the fact that they've been at war with my family for years... War... as in actual bloodshed... My grandfather's company has had a target painted on our back for as long as I can remember... And even since I was a child, I've watch family, friends disappear, board members executed, an entire train car of Dust... stolen... And every day, my father would come home furious and that made for a very difficult childhood.

Ruby: Weise, I...

Weiss: No! You want to know why I despise the white fang!? It's because they're a bunch of liars! Thieves! And murderers!

Blake: Well maybe we were tired of being pushed around!

Everyone looked at Blake, shocked at what she said while I just sighed...

Me: Oh no...

When Blake realized what she said, she instantly dashed out of the room, not wanting to be around us anymore.

Ruby: Blake wait! Come back!

Ruby tried to go after her but Blake was already long gone... She just looked down in sadness and came over to me, hugging me. I just hugged her back

Me: Let's give her some space for now...

I heard my scroll go off. When I looked at it, I saw a message and sighed...

Me: Amazing timing...

(3rd Person POV)

As Blake ran and ran, she stopped right in front of the statue in front of the school, with a sadden expression on her face... Then she slowly reached for her bow, and undid it, revealing two black cat ears.

???: Heh, long time no see sis...

When she heard that voice, she instantly recognized it and gasped. When she looked in front of her, there he was... coming out from behind the statue; a male with black hair, golden eye and black cat ears, wearing a hunting outfit with a hood.

Blake:... T-Tyros...???

(His appearance)

(His outfit)
