Educating Coran

"Coran, I think it's time that the Paladins educated you on Earth's history. We will start in 1949 for convenience though." Lance said. Pidge knew what was happening, but the rest were about to find out. Lance began his song teaching method while Pidge shouted the years.
"1949!"
Deep breath in. "Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray, South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio!"
"1950!"
"Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television, North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe!"
"1951!"
"Rosenbergs, H-bomb, Sugar Ray, Panmunjom
Brando, 'The King and I' and 'The Catcher in the Rye'"
"1952!"
"Eisenhower, vaccine, England's got a new queen, Marciano, Liberace, Santayana goodbye!"
Then Keith of all people caught on and joined in on the song. He has the chorus to himself.
"We didn't start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No we didn't light it
But we tried to fight it!"
"1953!"
The three of them went through the entire song. Lance knew every single word of it. Impressed, Keith questioned him about it.
"Oh! My dad and I made it our mission to memorize the whole song. He thought I forgot it though. I never forget songs."
"Well it was adorable. I mean, uh-"
"Aw! Does Keefy have a widdle cwush?"
"Oh shut up!"
"Make me."
A kiss was all it took. They walked back into the lounge holding hands. Pidge looked at them and gasped.
"MY SHIP! ALLURA YOU OWE ME TEN DOLLARS!"
"QUIZNAK! WAIT WHATS A DOLLAR?!"
Honestly I just wrote this because that song came on the radio and I thought of them. I'm sorry it's short, but I'm about to release the first of the World Travels Oneshots and each one of those is 1,000+ words.
