Keith sighed as he sat on the edge of the cliff he and shiro once rode to so long ago, with Kosmo by his side as he watched the sunset. It had been so long since he had been on earth, almost 9 months. He had been so busy with the blade of marmora. He had completely shut the others out after the wedding. To admit, he loved shiro in more than a brotherly way, and even if it broke his heart, he had made sure to be there when he found the person he would be spending the rest of his life with.

"Hey man." A familiar voice startled him out of his thoughts as he turned around, Amethyst meeting Ocean blue in what seemed like forever. His old rival's smile faded as he looked at keith with a pitying look. Thats when he felt it. The cold wetness of tears running down his cheeks. Keith quickly wiped them away. "Its ok to cry, lord knows I have in the past months. Speaking of which, where have you been? You shut all of us out after Shiros wedding..." Lance sat down and looked at keith, the old leader of voltron refusing to meet the others eyes as more tears slid down his face.

Keith shuddered as he felt arms wrap around him, staying stiff with wide his eyes as Lance continued hugging him. "I know how you felt for Shiro, but there was no reason to shut us all out." Keith nodded as he rested his head on Lances shoulder and wrapped his arms around the cuban's neck. "But you know..." The shorter males eyes widened as he was picked up and set down in the others lap, staring up at him with a startled look on his face as the arms once wrapped around his torso settled on his hips. "Im here for you, in any way you need me. I understand if you dont feel the same way but i cant hold in these feelings any longer. If you dont want this, if you dont want me... just tell me now and I'll stop.." Keith went over this in his head. There was no chance with him and Shiro, that opportunity was long gone, but Lance? He would stay by his side. They were both broken, but maybe they could also fix eachother. He looked Lance in the eyes, almost getting lost in the ocean that they held.

"Dont stop.."

Lance leaned forward, the boy under him settling in the grass as the cuban kissed him hard.

The two men stayed like that for a while, lips slotted together, no sexual intentions. Just the feeling of being so close to someone, Keith's heart ached. But not in a bad way anymore, it ached in a way that made his skin feel warm where ever lance was touching him. The slide of tears against his cheek signaled that the former blue Paladin was crying to.

Open mouths, tongues intertwined, still no intention beyond the need to feel close. To finally feel Something after so long of being cold, being alone. They parted, softly panting and staring deep into each other's eyes.

"I love you..." Lance whispered, love coating the words, thick as Carmel.

"I love you too."
