Keith was, yet again, left crying in his room at night.

Shiro was his boyfriend. They lived together. But lately, Shiro had been taking on late night shifts at work. Granted, it was important work, so Keith didn't complain, but...

He needed Shiro. He had trouble sometimes, with his mental health, and he wanted to feel loved. But Shiro wasn't there.

Tonight, it was bad. Keith had a nightmare, and it sent his head to some dark thoughts, some dark memories. He was shaky, hugging himself, laying under his blankets, his nose pressed into his pillow.

"Shiro?" Keith called, hoping Shiro was in the room, but obviously he wasn't. Wow, that was pathetic, he thought.
