"I know the princess said this was supposed to be my lion but what if she's wrong? I mean, she's probably not wrong, she's a princess. But I'm not a pilot. Even though I've always wanted to be a pilot. I mean, I read all the fighter manuals, but I never got to fly the simulator. But hey, I can't be a lot worse than Lance, he crashed all the time" Pidge rambled. 

The sloth creature looked at Shiro, who merely shrugged. 

"But what if I get in there and it doesn't respond? What if I get in there and its too big and my feet don't touch the pedals? What if there aren't even pedals?!" Pidge continued. 

Shiro decided to step in. 

"Your rambling. Listen. Our commander on the Kerberos mission is the smartest man I ever met. And he always said, 'if your too worried about what could go wrong, you might miss a chance to do something great'" he said. 

Pidge was out at ease, though he quietly gasped when he spotted something. It was a temple that was covered in large vines and vegetation. After getting back onto land, Pidge and Shiro both waved good bye to the sloth creature before making their way over to the temple. 

The lion carvings that were there began to glow with a green light. 

"Go. Be great" Shiro told Pidge, who smiled and began working his way up the temple. 

When he got to the top, there was no lion in sight. Looking around, Pidge had no idea he was on top of the lion until something growled and a yellow light appeared below him. 

Pidge smirked and jumped into the temple with a happy "Woo-hoo!". 

Shiro, who had been leaning against a broken pillar, stumbled a bit when the ground began to shake a bit. He looked around in time to see the green lion burst through the vegetation at the top of the temple. 

Meanwhile, Lance was still having trouble with the Galra. 

"Hunk! Come on! Please buddy!" Lance begged before letting out a shout as he was hit. 

His lion fell into the mining site. It got back up on its feet, but the lights were flickering a bit and electricity was sparking here and there. Lance groaned a bit before looking up. 

"Oh no" he breathed when he saw some Galra fighter jets coming at him. 

The all fired missiles, and Lance braced himself for impact. But then, something erupted out of the ground, taking the missiles for him. It was the yellow lion. 

Aka, Hunk. He managed to destroy all of the incoming Galra fighters. 

"You okay Lance?" Hunk asked. 

"Hunk?! I thought you were dead! You jumped in front of all those shots to save my life!" Lance said quickly, overjoyed to see his friend was okay. 

A holographic screen with Hunk in it appeared in front of Lance. 

"Well, actually, I was trying to get out of the way. Thankfully, what this thing lacks in speed, it more than makes up for in armor. Man can it take a beating!" he said. 

Both pilots looked around as more Galra fighters started firing at them. Another holographic screen appeared beside Lance. It was princess Allura. 

"Paladins! Please hurry back! I can't hold the wormhole much longer!" she begged before disappearing. 

"Let's get out of here!" Lance said before taking off, Hunk quickly following. 

Though he was thrown off balance when his lion took a shot. 

"Ugh, not this again!" he said before pressing a hand to his mouth as his stomach began to act up. 

"Quit screwing around Hunk! The wormhole is closing!" Lance said before the two went through the portal. 

After getting back to the castle, Hunk and Lance came into the control room to find everyone else was there. 

"You made it!" Allura said happily. 

"Yeah! Just barely! That was a nightmare! I almost puked out there. I felt like Hunk!" Lance replied. 

"Think how I felt. I am Hunk" Hunk told him. 

"Yeah, we had a tough time too" Pidge said, looking at Shiro, and the two shared a smile. 

"Did we find the red lion yet?" Chris asked. 

"Allura just located it. There's a bit of good news and bad news. The good news is the lion's nearby. The bad news is that its on that Galra ship now orbiting Aris" Coran stated, pulling on his mustache a bit. 

"But wait, good news again! We're Aris!" he added. 

"What?!" Chris cried. "

Their here already?" Shiro asked. 

"Yes. Guess my calculations were a bit off. Fingure counting, its more of an art than science" Coran replied. 

Everyone looked around as a holographic screen appeared, showing Zendak. 

"Princess Allura, this is Commander Zendak of the Galra empire" he said. 

Everyone gasped a bit. 

"I come on behalf of Emperor Zarkon, lord of the known universe. I am here to confiscate the lions. Turn them over to me, or I will destroy your planet" said Zendak before he disappeared.

"Alright, let's not panic" Shiro said. 

"Not panic? The scary purple alien thing is driving his battleship toward us, we only have five lions" Hunk said. 

"Technically only four working lions" Pidge corrected. 

"That's right. Thank you Pidge. Four working lions, and a castle that's like, ten thousand years old!" Hunk said. 

"Actually, its ten thousand six hundred years old. You see, it was built by my grand father-" Coran said. He would have launched into a story if Hunk hadn't interrupted him. 

"Thanks Coran. Thank you for that. See? Now is the perfect time to panic!" Hunk said. 

"Wait, this castle has a particle barrier we can activate" Allura said suddenly. 

"Girl, you've already activated my parti-" Lance said before Shiro cut him off with a sharp "Lance!". 

"Particle barrier won't hold Zendak's ion cannon forever. The Galra technology must have advanced since we fought them last" Coran noted. 

"Panic now?" Hunk asked. 

"No, we just gotta figure out our plan of action. And figure it out quickly" Shiro replied. 

"I say we pop through a worm hole and live to fight another day" Lance said. 

"I second that. Yes. I mean, we tried to find all the lions, right? We gave it the old college try, couldn't do it. We only have four, we can't form Voltron. 

"I mean, I guess we could form a snake? Or worm? To go through that hole Lance, that you were talking about" Hunk said. 

"Then its settled. Allura, you ride with me. One of you take the old guy" said Lance. 

The 'old guy' did not like being called that. Chris let out a sarcastic chuckle. 

"Nope. No way. Nope. Nonono. We are not leaving!" she said. 

Pidge sided with her. 

"We can't just abandon Aris. The Galra will keep destroying planets and capturing prisoners until we stop them" he said. 

"Okay, if we run, then maybe Zendak will follow us and leave this planet alone like when we left Earth. We form the snake worm thingamagig and we ssss outta here" Hunk said. 

"Zendak could destroy the planet then come after us anyway. Staying is our only option" Keith said. 

"Here's an option, shut your quiznak" Lance said. 

Both Allura and Coran looked at him wide eyed and mouths open. 

"I don't think your using that word correctly" Keith stated. 

"What do you know mullet?!" Lance snapped. 

"We're staying!" Keith snapped back. 

"Leaving!" Lance half yelled. 

"Staying!" Pidge cried. 

"Guys! Fighting amongst ourselves is not going to help our situation any better!" Chris yelled. 

"Guys, stop!" Shiro ordered. 

He then looked at Allura. 

"Princess Allura, these are your lions. You've dealt with the Galra empire before. You know what we're facing better than any of us. What do you think is the best course of action?" he said to her. 

"I-I-I don't know" Allura replied. 

"Perhaps your father could help" Coran suggested. 

"My father?" Allura asked. 

Coran then proceeded to lead Allura to a different room. 

"Coran, what is this?" Allura asked. 

"King Alfor knew there was a chance he might never see you again. So his memories, his very being, was stored in this computer for you" Coran explained. 

In the center of the device was a single float blue orb of light. When Allura reached out to it, it rose a bit and exploded. She was then in a beautiful flower field. The device then created a hologram of King Alfor. 

"Father. Father, it is so good to see you" Allura said happily as she approached the hologram. 

"Allura. My only child. How I've missed your face" King Alfor said to her. 

After she explained what was happening, and recieving advice from her father, Allura changed into something different, put her hair up, and went out to meet the paladins. 

"You six paladins were brought here for a reason. The Voltron lions are meant to be piloted by you, and you alone. We must fight, and keep fighting until we defeat Zarkon. It is our destiny. Voltron is the universe's only hope. We are the universe's only hope" she said. 

"We're with you princess" Shiro told her. 

Princess Allura then led the paladins to a different that had six clear columns. 

Inside the columns, "Your suits of armor" Allura told the group. 

Everyone stood in front of their color. 

"Princess, are you sure about this? They aren't exactly the best and brightest the universe has to offer?" Coran asked quietly. 

"No. But they're all we've got" Allura replied. 

"Boys!" Shiro called. 

Chris cleared her throat. 

"And girl. Its time to suit up" Shiro said. 

Chris was able to go somewhere more private to change. She felt her suit move on its own as it adjusted to perfectly fit her body. Once everyone had changed, Allura revealed something else. 

"The bayard, is the traditional weapon of the paladins of Voltron" Allura said as the bayards rose up and floated towards their respectful owners. 

"It takes a distinct shape for each paladin" Allura added. 

Hunk's bayard turned into a very big gun. Keith's turned into a sword, and a holographic shield also appeared too, generated by his suit. 

Lance's also turned into a gun, but it was somewhat smaller and more manageable. Pidge's bayard produced a glowing green blade around it, turning it into a very wide knife. 

"Aw, you got a cute little bayard" Lance teased. 

Pidge touched him with it, and Lance was electrocuted a bit. 

"Yeah, it is pretty cute" Pidge agreed with a smile. 

Chris's bayard turned into a staff, which she smiled at. She twirled it around a bit, getting a feel for it, before suddenly aiming one end at Lance's face, who was still on the ground. 

Lance shrieked a bit and quickly got out of the way. Chris chuckled a bit as she let the end of the staff hit the ground. Allura looked at Shiro. 

"Shiro, I'm afraid your bayard was lost with its paladin" she said. 

"I guess I'll just have to make do" Shiro replied. 

They all got back up to the control room. 

"You'll need to retrieve the red lion from Zendak's ship" Allura told the paladins. 

"That's a pretty big ship. How are we gonna know where the red lion is?" Keith noted. 

"Well, its not a matter of we, its a matter of you" Pidge told him. 

"Pidge is right. Once we get you in, you'll be able to feel its presence and like, track it down" Hunk added. 

"Yeah, you know how you felt that crazy energy while we were in the desert back on Earth?" Chris told Keith. 

"Yeah. Lance made fun of me for that" Keith replied. 

"And I'm still proud of it!" Lance called. 

"Yeah, turns out its exactly like that mumbo jumbo" Chris told him. 

"Keith, remember, the red lion is extremely temperamental. You'll have to earn its respect" Allura told Keith, who nodded. 

"Alright, here's our plan of attack" said Shiro. 

After explaining, it was put into action. 

"The Galra empire knows about the blue and yellow lions, but they don't know we have the green and silver lions too" 

Lance and Hunk flew towards the Galra battleship while Pidge flew in from the other side. 

"Lance, Hunk, you'll act as a decoy by pretending to give yourselves up"

 Lance contacted Zendak. 

"Attention Galra ship. Do not fire, we are surrendering our lions" he said. 

"Hope this works" he added quietly after cutting off the call. 

"While Zendak is distracted, Keith, Pidge, Chris, and I will sneak onto the ship in the green lion" 

Pidge used his bayard to cut a hole for them all to go through, the masks on the helmets activated to keep them alive. 

"Keith and I will find the red lion while Chris and Pidge guard our exit. Hunk, Lance, find some way to take down that ion cannon" 

The tractor beam doors began to open. 

"Pidge, what's your ETA?" Lance asked. 

"We're in" Pidge replied. 

He and the others were in the engine room of the ship. 

In the control room, "Activate tractor beam" Zendak ordered. 

The beam began to power up, and Lance and Hunk knew it was time to blow the act. 

"What's that thing?" Hunk asked. 

"Think that's our signal to get out of here!" Lance replied. 

The two both got out of the way of the tractor beam as it activated. 

"They lied to us. Launch fighters!" Zendak ordered. 

The Galra fighter jets were released. 

"Hunk, you dismantle the ion cannon while I take these jerks on a space ride" Lance said. 

"Ten four!" Hunk replied. 

The two separated to do just that. Inside the ship, Chris, Pidge, Keith, and Shiro were sneaking around in the hallways. However, around another turn, Shiro paused as he looked back behing him. 

Something about it brought back another memory, which he gasped a bit at. 

"What is it, Shiro?" Chris asked. 

"I've been here before. After I was taken by the Galra cruiser off Kerberos. They brought us here" Shiro explained. 

Pidge and Chris looked at each other as they realized what that could mean. 

Looking back at Shiro, Pidge said, "So, that means, your other crew members, they might be held captive here! We-We gotta rescue them!". 

Shiro looked at him. 

"Pidge, we don't have time. We have to get the red lion and get back to Aris" he said. 

"But we can't just leave prisoners here!" Chris argued. 

"Look, no one understands that more than me. But in war, we have to make hard choices. Now let's get moving" said Shiro before starting to walk away. 

Pidge hesitated before firmly saying, "No!", making everyone look at him. 

"Commander Holt is my father. He and my brother were the ones on the Kerberos mission with you" Pidge explained. 

"Commander Holt is your father?" Shiro asked. 

"Yes! I've been searching everywhere for him and my brother and I'm not going to give up looking when I'm this close. I won't!" Pidge told everyone before turning and getting ready to head the other way. 

"I'm coming with you" Shiro said suddenly. 

"What?" Keith asked. 

"I remember where the prisoners are held. Keith, you go find the red lion" Shiro said. 

"By myself?" Keith asked. 

"Minor change of plans. You'll be fine. Chris will go with you" Shiro told him. 

Chris looked at Pidge. 

"Please, let me know if you find absolutely anything" she begged.

 Pidge nodded. 

Shiro continued talking to Keith. 

"Just remember, patience yeields focus, so-" he said before getting cut off by the sound of a door opening. 

"Let's move it people!" Chris hissed, causing everyone to go their separate ways. 

Chris and Keith came up to a dead end. 

"Great, now which way?" Keith said to himself. 

Another door opened on one side, prompting the two to go the other way to avoid getting caught. Outside, Hunk flew his lion at the ion cannon as fast as he could, but was quickly put to a stop by something invisible. 

Turns out, there was a force field surrounding the ion cannon. 

"What the quiznak? What is that? A force field?" he asked himself as he watched said force field turn invisible again. 

Back down on Aris, "Particle barrier up!" Allura said. 

The barrier appeared, but just as quickly flickered away. 

"Is that what's supposed to happen?" Coran asked. 

The two checked a compartment, and noticed what was wrong. 

"Uh oh! The barrier crystals are out of alignment!" Coran said. "

We have to fix it immediately! Without the particle barrier, we'll be defenseless!" said Allura. 

"We're both too big. What can we do?" Coran asked. 

The answer came as the different colored mice came around and ran into where the barrier crystals were held. 

"The mice!" Allura realized as she and Coran looked inside the compartment to see what was happening. 

"How do they know how to do this?" Coran asked. 

"I can here them talking to me! I think our minds are connected" Allura replied. 

The mice put the crystal that was out of alignment, back into alignment. 

"It must be from sharing the same sleep pod for ten thousand years" Allura guessed as the particle barrier came up. 

"Thank you friends" she said to the mice. 

Coran then started making weird motions while intensely staring at the mice.

"Coran? What are you doing?" Allura asked. 

"I'm trying to get them to make me a sandwich" Coran replied. 

Back with Chris and Keith, the two kept running into dead ends, Keith visibly growing more frustrated each time. He finally snapped when they ended up at the same place they had started at, proving they had just gone in one big circle. 

"Ugh! You've gotta be kidding me!" he growled. 

"Keith" Chris panted, causing the hot head to look at her. 

"Remember what Shiro said" she told him. 

Keith panted a bit then murmured, "Patience yields focus". 

He was then able to track the red lion. 

Turning around to face the direction they had come, he said, "Gotchya. Come on!". 

Chris followed Keith as he took off running again, but this time, in the right direction. With Pidge and Shiro, the two running were running through the halls. Shiro had something on his mind, and he had to ask it. 

"Pidge, what's Chris's relation to your family? She seems just as determined as you to find them" he said. 

"My brother, Matt, was her boyfriend. She doesn't really like to talk about it" Pidge replied. 

Shiro hummed in response. The two rounded a corner, where they were caught by a floating drone. Pidge quickly shot it down and approached it. 

"That thing saw us. We should get out of here" Shiro stated. 

Pidge started messing with the programming. 

"Wait, I think this might come in handy. Now I'll just reset the controls" he said. 

The drone's color turned from red to blue. 

"And its working for us now!" Pidge said happily. 

"I'm going to call you Rover. Follow me!" he said to the drone, which did as it was told. 

The two got up to a sealed prison door. 

"Open up" Pidge ordered. 

Rover aimed a small laser at a portion of the wall beside the door, which unlocked it and opened it up. 

"Excellent Pidge" Shiro praised before the two ducked into the room. 

The prisoners inside were, at first, terrified. 

"Dad?" Pidge asked, hoping to get a response. 

He didn't get anything. The prisoners were too terrified. 

"Don't be afraid. We're here to help you escape" Shiro told him. 

A four armed creature looked at him. 

"Its you. Its you, The Champion. If anyone can get us out of here, he can" it said, its voice indicating it was male. 

"W-what did you call me?" Shiro asked. 

Pidge turned to look at him. 

"We don't have much time. Let's get to the escape pods" he said. 

Shiro began moving the prisoners out of the cell. 

"Let's go. Come on" he said. 

Outside the ship, Lance was, indeed, leading the Galra fighters on a crazy space ride. 

"Woo! Yeah buddy! This is way more fun without Hunk's barfing!" he cheered. 

Hunk was still trying to break the force field around the ion cannon. He groaned a lot after another failed attempt. With Keith and Chris, the two had finally reached the red lion. 

"Bingo" Keith said as he put his hand on the force field. "Let's get out of here. Open up" he said. 

But the force field didn't open. 

"Its me. Keith. Your buddy" Keith said. 

But still, nothing happened.

"Allura did say you had to earn its trust" Chris told him. 

"Its me! Keith! Your-I am your paladin!" Keith half yelled. 

"Keith, look out!" Chris yelled as she formed her shield. 

The red paladin turned around and activated his shield just in time as Galra sentries started firing at them. 

"I'm bonding with you! Hey! Come on! We're connected!" Keith yelled at his lion, which still wasn't responding. 

He then activated his sword on his bayard, and started to attack the sentries, Chris following his lead as she activated her staff. 

"Your not getting this lion!" Keith growled as he slashed at the sentries. 

However, the two were soon pushed back as they were overwhelmed. Keith then spotted an airlock opener and got an idea. 

"Activate your mask" he told Chris as he activated his. 

Chris did so, and Keith slammed his fist down on the airlock button, opening the doors, which pulled the sentries out due to the suction. 

But it also pulled on Chris and Keith who were both struggling to hold on to something. 

Some debris slammed into Keith, knocking him loose and making him hit Chris, who was also pulled loose from her anchor.

The two let out panicked breaths as they floated away from each other and into space. However, something had a change of heart. Keith's eyes widened as the red lion appeared in front of him, and accepted him. 

"Good kitty. Let's roll" he said as he got to the cockpit. 

He then quickly managed to find Chris and rescue her. 

"Phew, thanks Keith" she said as she also got into the cockpit. 

Keith nodded in reply. 

Meanwhile, Pidge and Shiro had reached the escape pod with the prisoners. 

"Hurry!" Pidge called. 

However, another, robotic, voice said "Halt". 

Pidge looked around and gasped as he saw Galra sentries running towards him. Shiro quickly joined the green paladin as the rest of the prisoners got into the escape pod. 

The two both got into defensive positions, but then, Shiro's cyborg hand started to glow, and he was brought to his knees in pain. 

"Shiro? Shiro, what's wrong?!" Pidge's voice echoed a bit. 

Shiro straightened his glowing hand and the pain went away. Then he got up and attacked the sentries, quickly destroying them. 

Pidge stared wide-eyed at him before looking back at the escape pod. 

"Thank you, Shiro" said the four armed creature as the doors closed and the pod left. 

"Wait! How do you-" Shiro started to say before cutting himself off. 

Pidge lightly punched him in the arm. 

"Shiro, that was amazing! Where did you learn to fight with that?" he said then asked. 

Shiro looked at his hand that had been glowing just a minute ago. 

"No idea" he said. 

Outside the ship, Hunk began using his lion's lasers to break the force field. Though it was a slow process. 

"Come on! Just break, you stupid thing!" he snapped. 

The force field did just that, and Hunk took the chance to fly his lion forward and slam it into the cannon, putting in a very big dent. 

"Score one for Hunk!" Hunk cheered. 

He then noticed everyone else flying away. 

"You guys made it!" he said. 

"Katie Rose has left the stage!" Pidge cried. 

"Let's get the heck outta here" Lance said. 

"Yeah. I think its finally time Shiro got his lion" Chris added. 

"I hope I stopped that cannon. I could barely make a dent in it!" Hunk said as he took off after them. 

"They stole the red lion!" said Zendak's second in command. 

"After them! Either we get those lions, or we blow this whole planet to cosmic dust! Fire the ion cannon!" Zendak roared. 

"Sir! The ion cannon has been damaged!" said the second in command

"Then send the drones to fix it!" Zendak hissed. 

The battleship, along with the fleet of fighter jets, started moving towards the planet. In the castle, Shiro stood in front of a very large door that lead to the room the black lion was sealed in. 

All of the other five lions were there, and they all started lighting up as they turned on. Allura and Coran watched things from the control room with hopeful gazes. The door to the black lion also began to light up. 

And it slowly rose, slowly revealing the black lion. Shiro's eyes widened a bit as he took in the sight, as did everyone else. 

Out of all the lions, the black lion was the only one that had wings. It turned on, stood up, and roared, all the other lions doing the same. 

Allura and Coran both cheered and sighed in relief. But the moment was cut short as the alarms started going off. 

"Oh quiznak!" Coran said as a scanner revealed what was going on. 

Zendak's ship and the fighter jets had entered Aris's atmosphere and were getting closer to the castle by the minute. 

"Zendak is entering the arusian atmosphere! We need Voltron now!" Allura stated. 

Shiro got to the cockpit of his lion, and the lion roared again before taking off, everyone else being quick to follow. All the lions landed in a line on the ground. 

On the battleship, "The ion cannon is back online!" said the second in command. 

(I'm just gonna call him S.I.C.) 

"Fire!" Zendak ordered. 

The cannon loaded, and shot one powerful blast at the castle, which was being defended by the particle barrier. Everyone groaned a bit at both the shaking ground and the bright lights that were created when the cannon fire made contact with the barrier. 

"Man, those Galra guys repair things fast!" Hunk said. 

"The barrier gets weaker with every blast! Once that shield goes down, the castle will be defenseless!" Coran stated. 

"I can give you cover with the castle's defenses for a while, but you have to form Voltron now! Or we'll all be destroyed" Allura stated. 

"Jeez, no pressure" Hunk said sarcastically. 

Another blast from the ion cannon had the particle barrier glitching a bit. 

"Listen up team Voltron, the only way to succeed is to give it all you've got. This looks bad, but we can do this. Are you with me?" Shiro said. 

Everyone nodded. 

"I'm nodding, is everyone else nodding?" Hunk said then asked. 

"Yes" everyone chorused in an annoyed or bored tone. 

"Let's do this!" Shiro said as he launched his lion forward, everyone quickly following his lead. 

"Yeah, only one question. How?" Chris said. 

"Good question, does anyone have any ideas on how to form Voltron?" Keith asked. 

"I don't see a 'combine into giant robot' button anywhere on my dashboard" Hunk said. 

Some Galra fighter jets had been firing at the group since they left the safety of the particle barrier. And Pidge was getting annoyed by it. 

"This is insane! Can't they just cease fire for one minute so we can figure this out?! Is that too much to ask?!" he said as he slowed down and turned around. 

Jumping up, Pidge grabbed one of the jets in the lion's jaws, and threw it at another incoming fighter jet, destroying them both. Keith had also halted. 

"We gotta do something!" he said sharply. 

Hunk crashed into his lion on purpose while shouting "Combine!". 

"Hey!" Keith snapped indignantly as he regained his footing. 

"Okay, that didn't work" Hunk said, disappointed. 

"Quickly paladins! Our energy levels are getting low!" Allura begged before another blast rattled her end, shutting off the call. 

"Maybe if we fly in formation, we'll just, combine! Take off, on my que! One, two, three! Voltron!" said Shiro.

 Everyone took off and flew in formation for a few seconds. 

"Nothings happening!" Shiro said. 

"Hey! Wa-wa-wa-wa-wait! I feel something!" Lance said. 

"I do too! I feel it! Its like we're all being pulled in the same direction!" Hunk said. 

Shiro looked up and found the reason why. 

"Uh, guys? I think I know why! Look up!" he said. 

All of the lions were caught in Zendak's tractor beam. 

"What the cheese?" Lance said.

"Zendak's ship is sucking us in like a black hole!" Pidge cried. 

Inside the battleship, "Send a report to Emperor Zarkon. The day's ours" said Zendak. 

The ion cannon fired another blast at the castle, and this time, it took down the particle barrier. 

"Oh no" Shiro breathed when he saw what happened. 

"I don't care what you say Shiro! I'm panicking now!" Hunk cried before letting out a panicked yell. 

"It can't end here!" Pidge yelped. 

"This is it!" Lance cried. 

"Its been an honor flying with you boys and girl" Keith stated. 

Shiro gripped his controls as Chris said, "No! I refuse to go out like this! We just have to work together!". 

"Chris is right! We can do this! We have to believe in ourselves! We can't give up! We are the universe's only hope! Everyone is relying on us! We can't fail! We won't fail! If we work together, we'll win together!" Shiro said determinedly. 

"Yeah!" Everyone chorused. 

Then it happened. All of the lions glowed and then, they formed it. The formed the legendary weapon. Another cannon blast was fired, but instead of hitting the castle, it flew by it and hit a mountain off in the distance. 

The reason why became evident. Voltron had punched the ion cannon. Zendak actually back up a bit. 

"Voltron!" he said, sounding a bit scared. 

"I can't believe it!" Keith cried. 

"We formed Voltron!" Pidge yelled. 

"I'm a leg!" Hunk called. 

"We did it!" Chris yelled happily. 

"How are we doing this?!" Lance asked. 

"I don't know, but let's get that cannon!" Shiro said. 

Voltron literally pulled off the ion cannon from the ship and tossed it off somewhere. The, Keith's lion head was punched through the hull, where he fired a laser. The laser somehow managed to go through the entire ship, making that area explode. 

Zendak grunted as he was thrown around a bit. Voltron came out of the ruined area and burst through the hull again, Pidge this time being the one fire a laser, destroying the inside of that area they were in. 

Zendak and S.I.C. both fled the room, presumably to the escape pods. Voltron took off flying again, but this time, everyone yelled as they went all out, and Voltron itself burst through what was rest of the ship. 

Voltron landed on the ground as the ship exploded, large parts crash landing to the ground. Later on, after everyone disbanded from Voltron and landed on the ground, Allura and Coran both came out. 

"Good work paladins!" Allura said happily. 

"Thanks pretty lady" Lance said, holding his helmet against his side. 

"Lance, you are never going to stop flirting with Allura, are you?" Chris said joking from where she was sitting on the ground as she took off her helmet. 

"Nope!" Lance replied. 

"We did it" Shiro said. 

"Heck yeah we did" Keith said as he took off his helmet. 

"How did we do it?" Shiro asked. 

"I was just, like, screaming the whole time. Maybe that did it" Hunk said. 

He did have a bit of trouble getting it off. Pidge took off his helmet and put on his glasses, looking sad. Though he did look up when Shiro put his hand on his shoulder. 

"We're not going to stop searching until we find your brother and father. Wherever they are, I know they;d be proud of you. And Chris" he said. 

Pidge smiled a bit in return. Everyone turned to look at Allura as she started talking. 

"We won the battle, but the war has only just begun. I'm afraid Zarkon will not stop, until he get's these lions" she said. 

"Good thing you paladins know what your doing, because your gonna have to form Voltron again and again" said Coran. 

"Totally. Wait what?" Hunk said as he realized what Coran said. 

"We barely survived forming Voltron this one time" Lance said. 

"Oh, and you only had to fight one ship. Wait until you have to fight a whole fleet of them! Eh, its not going to be easy, being the defenders of the universe" Coran said. 

Everyone got weird looks after he said those last few words. Though Shiro eased the tension it created. 

"Defenders of the universe, huh? Its got a nice ring to it" he said. 

Everyone turned around to look at the Voltron lions, awaiting the adventures they would bring....
