Soryu x Demon!Reader (Pt. 1/2)

Soryu x Demon!Reader

Cause why not!!! I swear I need to know where I got this head of mine from

For LaurenAnimal  since they requested for Soryu :PP

*Slightly gory*

The first time you met the aloof mobster, he shot you in the chest. Twice.

"What the hell! What was a girl going in the middle of the battlefield?" Samejima, one of Soryu's subordinates, freaked out.

Soryu was silent, he had always tried his best to not involve innocent passerby in his mafia business, but this time, it seems that he had dragged someone into it.

Ryosuke felt even worse, he got down to your lying form, and tried to carry you up so they can properly take care of your corpse.

Just then, you grabbed his wrist that was trying to lift your head up.

"Gahhhh!!!" He freaked out and jumped back.

"I don't really fancy being carried." You spoke completely normally as you looked at the three men standing around you, even though your wound was bleeding just a second ago, it suddenly closed up.

That startled Soryu so deeply, the first instinct he had was to shoot you again.

You stared at the bullet that was in your stomach, "that still hurts you know!"

They brought you back to their headquarters, and you wandered around Soryu's office all day.

"So...who are you, and why the heck were you in the middle of a mafia battlefield?" He asked you behind his desk.

"I'm (First Name), just a random demon walking around trying to find meaning in this endless game called life. I've got all the time in the world." You responded as you balanced a book on your head. You got the habit of playing around with whatever you find.

He was forced to believe you after seeing you healed in no time after getting shot two times in important places.

But of course, there's always that corner of doubt in his mind, it wasn't that easy to trust. There were excuses that maybe you were wearing a bullet-proof vest that had tomato sauce packets stuffed in front of it.

That is ridiculous. But it wasn't impossible, judging by your behavior.

As Samejima pushed open the door to the living room, a bag of flour dropped onto his head.

"Ahh, that was why I left that door open." You would then say, with a strong sense of mischief in your eyes.

Soryu introduced you to the Ice Dragons as a new member. They questioned why you joined very greatly, since they've never seen any of your physical abilities.

"This is (First Name), she will be joining the Ice Dragons as of today." Soryu says. You bowed in an enthusiastic manner. You suggested to join, and he found value in your demon abilities.

Everybody tries not to judge a book by its cover, but it was hard not to.

"Remind me why is (First Name) here again...?"

"She's just a weak girl who at most can pull some pranks, why did Mr. Oh let her in the organization?"

"I don't understand at all...."

"Maybe as bait?"

"Mr. Oh would never do that."

You walked by them murmuring instead of doing their actual work, but you weren't one to care yet. You tripped over the couch leg on purpose, crying 'ow!' just to deceive them more, so then you can blow their minds when you actually focus on attack.

Then, came the day to test your strength.

"Show them what you got." Soryu says before handing you a gun and nodded towards the targets scattered around the tall building.

"Boss! Are you seriously letting her get rid of all ten enemies?!" One of them cried behind you.

You let the wind mess up your hair as you looked up to those people up in the old abandoned building with no windows whatsoever. Soryu told you they were having a gun trade, and it was a one-time chance.

You didn't really care about taking lives, especially ones that don't need to continue living.

With your arm straight, you raised it up and tilted your head a little to aim.

You heard exasperated sighs behind you, grumbling "you're doing it all wrong!" and "You can't tilt your head when you aim!".

I'll show you. With a small grin, you zoomed in your vision like a hawk's eye. The small targets were now as clear as day.

"Pew." You said as a side sound effect as you pulled the trigger only once.

The people with the binoculars shouted: "All down!"

"H-H-How did—" they were utterly speechless.

You tossed the gun back to Soryu, who gave you a small smile.

You didn't say anything to anybody else, but when it was just you and Soryu again, he asked you, "how'd you kill them all when you only fired once?"

You walked with your hands in your jeans pockets, "Who says one bullet can't pass through body after body?"

He laughed, "You really are a demon."

You finally found a goal in living after this hundred years of life with no meaning.

During training, you were capable of pushing the knife against the throat of even the best and strongest fighters.

You switched your grip on the plastic knife in your hand as another charged at you, having not accepting his defeat.

"This was it....The excitement of life." You mumbled to yourself as you dodged the first attack.

You hopped up a bit when he tried to leg-sweep you. A grin was plastered on your face as you were honestly enjoying the fight.

He stepped up against you and attempts to swing his knife, you bend backwards and he hit air.

When he raised his knife and swung it down, attempting to chop your head. You put up your left hand and caught his arm square, he couldn't move at all.

Everybody in the training room was watching you now.

Flustered, your opponent swung his other arm at your head recklessly.

You held up your knife, which blocked his arm.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. No, no (Random name)-san, you'd get your arm chopped right off if you do that." You said, as if coaching him. It was the reason why Soryu gave you a plastic knife, there was no guarantee you won't use it on others.

You were so absorbed in your opponent's bewildered expression, you didn't feel the person sneaking up behind you. You felt safe around Soryu.

"Oh?" You perked up at the person pulling back his knife behind you. Why not let them see the real thing.... You thought.

You practically waited for him to try to kill you. When the sensation finally came through your stomach, you let go of your opponent.

"Yo...the least you can do is pull it out, right?" You said to the person who plunged his knife.

"You idiot!" Soryu's outburst even startled you. He knows you can't die by just a simple knife stab.

"S-Sorry!" The person who stabbed you just came to his senses, he can be killed if he purposely wound someone during training.

"Don't get so worked up." You brushed it off as you pulled the knife out from your back. You looked at the blood-soaked weapon before dropping it on the table beside the wall of the room.

You were surely going to be in trouble for letting so many people know what you were.

"You...." Soryu stood in front of you in his office. Your shirt was red, but your wound already closed.

"Why're you so worried, huh?" You stroked your finger under chin teasingly. You've grown quite fond of the mobster, his presence alone was comforting.

He didn't show any emotion, but he didn't push your hand away, either.

You have never used your full power until that moment.

"Abort! There were a lot more enemies than estimated!" Soryu shouts, his first priority was to keep the Ice Dragons all safe. All the members obediently started retreating.

"Why do I need to retreat too?" You ask as you run alongside Soryu, who was also busy firing at the chasing enemies behind.

"Just...follow your orders." He said in a rush, he had too much on his mind at the moment to really reply to you.

You hated that sentence with all of your demonic life. Your parents died from protecting you, you had no choice but to be sent to a military school. Where all day all they told you was "follow your orders".

Despite being his strict self and a mobster, he was always easy on you even when you made a mistake. He gave you the free space you needed. You listened to him, but he never ordered you around or commanded you.

You looked at the Ice Dragon members running in slight panic in front of you, the people who actually grew accepting to you after time.

They were like the family you never had.

And the people who are forcing them to run...and forcing Soryu to say those words to you....

You stopped in your tracks.

"(First Name)?! What're you doing! They outnumber you way too much! Run!" Soryu shouted out, but he stopped running. He's waiting for you.

Unlike those military bastards who just abandoned you and ran when they thought you were just giving your life away.

To his voice, everybody turned around to you. Some even tried to run to you, but the enemies behind you were getting far too close.

"I'll save you this time." You beamed one last time at them before turning around. As you ran towards the enemy, black feathers started floating about around you.

At first, the enemy didn't take you seriously at all, they shot several times at you. You spit the bullets that hit you out, and threw them back at them, instantly killing off six on the spot.

That's when they thought you were a threat, they stopped running and focused their fire on you.

"(First Name)!" His voice shouting your name was all the motivation you needed.

Your normally (Eye Color) eyes turned a shade of blood red, symbolizing your bloodlust.

You swung your arm, the deadly blade formed from air sliced people's bodies in half. The amount of red liquid on the ground only made your bloodlust stronger.

"Who the hell is this... this... monster?!" the opponent group panicked real quick.

"Who the hell cares?! Run before you're killed!" as the words just came out of their mouth, your hand pierced through his heart.

Their large number made their escape very difficult. You jumped around the walls and landed before their only way to escape.

And now, you were in front of them, and the Ice Dragons were behind them. They were surrounded.

"Do me a favor, and die quietly, I don't like loud noises." You said with a finger in front of your mouth before you raised your hand again.

Soryu watched in pure awe as you press air together into a sharp blade and then pierce it through them. It was the first time he's seen you do these stunts.

The enemies constantly fired at you, which only benefitted you in having bullets to shoot at them back.

It drained all of your stamina to literally make weapons out of thin air, but it was something you learned while wandering around the entire world on your own. You purposely go to battlefields to collect some bullets to practice.

It was also no coincidence that you met Soryu. You admired how he always left the innocent out of his battles.

You didn't care about dying before you met him. Now you have something worth living for.

"No rules for me~" you sang as the feathers around you acted like daggers themselves. In a short few seconds, more than half of the enemy numbers reduced.

"...Let's fire, too." Soryu says, raising up his gun.

The enemies had to watch out for you unstoppable attacks, while worrying about the dense firing of the Ice Dragons behind them. They can fire all they like because it can't harm you.

By hovering one hand above the other, you formed a Frisbee with sharp blades as edges using air. It slices heads right off as it roams around.

You were covered in blood by the time all enemies were eliminated.

"Hahhh that was tiring." You couldn't feel your legs and crashed into the floor as everything around you vanished.

"Thank you... (First Name)...." You felt something warm on your head as you were being picked up. Knowing this voice anywhere, you relaxed yourself into unconsciousness.
