Third Person's POV

In the middle of the woods, we can see Ash and Starly training

"Starly, Aerial Ace, Let's go!" Ash 

Starly dives at the opponent and white streaks of energy surround its body. Starly towards a target attached to a tree opponent.

"Starly's sure coming in fast!" Brock states as he and the others were watching

"Quick, Starly, pull up!" Ash tells the tiny avian Pokémon 

"Starly!" Starly then rises up.

Everyone looks with awe "Yeah, one more time!" Ash then yells.

As our heroes continue their journey with eyes focused on Volo and Ash's first Sinnoh League Gym battle, Ash and his Starly are in the middle of some intensive special training with the assists of Volo and Togekiss!

Starly flew past the Jubilee Pokémon as attempts to use Aerial Ace again.

"I know we'll hit it this time!" Ash said.

"Go, Starly" Dawn cheers.

Starly then struggles to keep steady which our heroes gasp out of panic. Starly hit the ground hard making it have a bad landing causing to hurt one of its legs in the process.

Ash and the others run up to the Pokémon "Oh man, Starly, are you okay?" Ash ask out of concern.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu looks at Starly worried.

"Starly hurt its leg from the bad landing" Volo stated.

Brock nods before checking out his bag "But don't worry it doesn't look like it's serious..." he says as he pulls out a potion and a wrap of bandages "A little bit of Potion and a bandage, and Starly will be as good as new!" Brock assures.

Gary smiles "So there's no point in worrying" he then says.

"That's a relief" Ash then says with relief as they see Brock treating's Starly wound "Starly's first Aerial Ace messed up pretty bad, but that second time was a lot better! All we have to do is keep practicing, and you'll be awesome!" Ash then encourages Starly.

"Starly!" the smaller Avian Pokémon cried happily.

"Toge!" Togekiss gives Starly a motherly smile

Volo watches this before pulling out his Pokédex

"Starly, the Starling Pokémon. Starly normally travels in a flock, but when alone, it is hard to notice."

'I remember this episode this is the Episode where not only Starly masters its Aerial Ace move, but it'll evolve into a Staravia' Volo remembers.

Brock then gets up while Starly gets stand on his arm "Starly, you're all set! How's it feel?" he asks the Starling Pokémon

"Starly!" Starly does some small kicks and cries happily.

"Alright, how about we take a break from training for a while, Starly has earn this break" Volo suggests which everyone agrees.

Then suddenly our heroes hear a sound of ruffling bushes which alerted our heroes only to reveal a young woman with a dark purple bob cut hair seem like she was looking for something and then notices our heroes and smiles embarrassedly.

"O-Oh hi there" she greets in a what Volo believe is like a Australian accent

"Hi to you too" Dawn greets back with a nervous smile as well.

"What a surprised" Ash nervously comment.

"Pika" Pikachu cries

"Very nice to meet you all the way out here" the young woman said.

"Well, my name is Ash, and this is Pikachu!" Ash introduces both Pikachu and himself.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu greets.

"Yeah, and my names is Dawn!" Dawn then introduces himself.

"I'm Volo and this is Togekiss" Volo says.

"Togekiss" Togekiss gives the woman a friendly bow.

"And I'm Gary" Gary introduces himself.

"They call me Rosebay, and I'm the-" The woman tried to introduce herself but only to be cut off by a lovestruck Brock.

"The most beautiful flower that can bloom in this beautiful forest! Turning the landscape into a work of art!" Brock said holding Rosebay's hand as the female looks at Brock confused "I'm Brock! Now I know why I'm here! Why destiny led me to this forest! My whole life was in preparation for this magic moment" he continues.

"Brock" Volo tries to call the simping young man. 

"The moment when I would find you by my side!" Brock said.

"Three...two...one-" Volo counts as he sees Croagunk hitting Brock with Poison Jab out of nowhere.

"Course there are two sides to everything!" Brock groans before falling down and Croagunk drags him away.

"My work is to observe and keep track of the numerous Pokémon that are living out here in the forest! And that's exactly what I was doing when you came by!" Rosebay explains

"Oh, a Pokémornithologist" Volo said

"Wow! That sounds like fun!" Ash stated interested.

"But I hope us being here isn't getting in your way" Dawn say nervously in hope that they weren't bothering her research.

"No! As a matter of fact, if you're interested, you could watch the bird Pokémon along with me!" Rosebay assures our heroes.

Ash nods "Man, I'd sure like to!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cheerfully agrees.

"Me, too! Sounds great!" Dawn also agrees.

"I would love to watch you, watching them." Brock said, in a loving tone, Ash, Gary, and Dawn faint from the fast recovery, while Rosebay just blushed, her hair sticks out a bit,

"How does Brock do that?" Dawn questions.

"Even I don't know the answer" Volo responds.

"You can that again" Gary agrees.

-scene change-

"There's a large colony of Swablu living in the forest. Their nest is over there!" Rosebay explains while pointing on a direction as she and our heroes are hidden behind some bushes.

"Colony?" Ash questions.

"A colony refers to the different types of bird Pokémon who live separately because of species!" Rosebay explains while handing Ash her binoculars.

Ash looks and sees a nest "Wow, I see the nest!" he stated.

"Ooh, can you let me try those, too?" Dawn asks.

Ash then gives Dawn the Binoculars "Go ahead!"

Dawn then sees the nest "I see it, but where are the Swablu?" She questions.

"Yeah, it's empty" Brock agrees while seeing the nest with his own Binoculars.

Rosebay thinks for a moment.

Ash and Dawn look at the young woman "Something wrong, Rosebay?" Ash questions.

"Pika?" Pikachu looks at Rosebay in question.

 "Come on! We need to go find some higher ground!" she tells out heroes.

then our heroes and Rosebay went to a higher ground they seem some bird Pokémon but there are no signs of Swablu "This is weird. The Swablu should have returned home to their colony by this time. Something's very wrong!" Rose bay then stated making everyone look at Rosebay in surprised.

"Whoa, what do you mean, Rosebay?" Ash question.

Rosebay turns to the teenager "Okay. Recently, the number of Pokémon living in this area has dropped by a huge number! And not just Swablu it's been the same with many other colonies as well!" she explains.

"And you don't know the reason this is going on?" Dawn asks.

"I'm working hard trying to find out why, but this forest is a big place!" Rosebay answers.

"Then you should let all of us help out with your work! If Pokémon need help, we want to be there!" Ash then suggests.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu agrees with its trainer.

"Of course! Not only can we help them, but we can also learn something, too!" Dawn agrees.

Rosebay looks surprised "Wow, you mean it?" she asks.

"Sure!" Ash and Dawn answers as the other nod agreeing with them.

"That's great! I can use the help!" Rosebay accepts the help from our heroes.

-scene change-

They're now in a different part of the forest walking.

"This part of the forest contains a colony of Hoothoot." Rosebay tells our heroes.

"Man, I don't see any." Ash comments.

"Me neither or hear any!" Brock agrees

Then Starly flies towards our heroes.

"Starly, you able to find anything?" Ash asks the Starling Pokémon who lands on his forearm.

"Starly" Starly shakes its head.

"Kiss!" Togekiss then flies over and lands next to Volo.

"What about You Togekiss, do you see anything?" Volo ask.

"Toge" Togekiss also shakes its head.

"Gotcha. So is your leg feeling any better?" Ash asks looking back at Starly.

"Starly, Star!" Starly cries happily.

Ash smiles "That's great! Does that mean you could take one more look around?" he asks again.

"Starly!" Starly stands proud before flying off "Starly!"

"Togekiss you go too!" Volo then said to the Jubilee Pokémon.

"Kiss!" Togekiss then flies off.

'Man, Team Rocket never stop fucking things up, huh?' Volo questions in his thoughts 'I just hope Togekiss and Starly didn't get caught by team Rocket' he adds.

-meanwhile-

To where Starly And Togekiss is at, he found some wild Taillows and Swellows flying by. they begin to follow the Pokémon by flying after them. Just then, Starly chirped panicking as both Starly and Togekiss saw the giant net!

Starly attempted to slow down, but it was too late. Starly and Togekiss got caught by the net with the other bird Pokémon! They were all sent falling to the prepared cage!

Starly groaned, rubbing its head, until it noticed some other Pokémon looking sad Which Togekiss also notices.

"Toge" Togekiss looks shocked to see all Pokémon.

A Fearow tried to peck at the metal bars, which ended in failure. Meowth cackled with the failed attempt. "The only way your beak could bust those bars, is if it was made out of metal! Once I get you guys over to the boss, you're going to be flying all over him and we're going to be swimming in dough!" Meowth cackled not noticing Togekiss frowning at him.

Both Togekiss and Starly glared at the laughing Normal Type Pokémon. Hoping their trainers and friends would find them soon.

-with the others-

Meanwhile, with Ash and the others, they were waiting for Starly to come back but he hasn't even once come back and that worried them. "Man, I hope Starly is okay." Ash said, getting worried.

"Pika" Pikachu agrees

"Starly and Togekiss had been gone for a long time." Dawn points out as she gets worried. 

"You think something bad happen to them?" Gary asks, having a small frown on his face.

"I shouldn't have sent Starly out." Ash said, looking down, feeling guilty about this. "Not after getting hurt."

"It wasn't a bad injury. So I wouldn't worry." Brock reminded him.

"But it's taking Starly so long! Something bad must have happen!" Ash snaps, standing up to where he was sitting.

Volo frowns anger 'They got them' the angrily stated in his mind referring to a certain trio. Volo places a hand on Ash's shoulder "This may be shocking for you to hear from me but if I were you I shouldn't be this worried for Starly. Don't forget, Starly is not Alone, it's with Togekiss and they can help each other out if anything happened to them, I trust Togekiss enough to be able to take care of itself, and you should be feeling the same for Starly" He calmly says to Ash with a warm smile making the Kantonian blush and looks down.

"Y-You're right, I just couldn't help but feeling worried" Ash said.

Volo shakes his head "it's normal to feel worried every once in a while, right Pikachu?" he ask the Mouse Pokémon.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agrees with the blonde.

"I think I figured out what's going on." Rosebay informs as the others look at her, confused for a while as Rosebay points to that mountain and the others looked at it, "That's called a valley path, and all the Bird Pokémon used it." She explains.

"We better go take a look. Let's hurry, Starly and Togekiss might be in some kind of trouble down there." Ash exclaims. 

"You may be right, Ash. Let's go!" Rosebay agrees.

"We're coming Starly, now." Ash exclaims and with that the group had run off to the valley path the get the Bird Pokémon and Starly.

-with Starly and Togekiss-

With the Bird Pokémon, they were very sad that they can't go home because they were trapped in a cage.

"Starly!" Starly looks at Togekiss and they chatted as if Starly has a plan.

Togekiss listens closely and nods agreeing to help Starly with the plan "Kiss!"

Starly had came over and told Hoothoot that it had a plan, and all the Bird Pokémon had listened as they started planning to bust out of the cage.

-with team Rocket-

At the surface, where Team Rocket were hiding out, they were relaxing before making the big plan to give the Bird Pokémon to the boss. 

"Meowth, are the natives, restless?" Jessie asks.

"They ain't too thrill but they're okay as long as we keep them in those cages, they ain't going nowhere, fast." Meowth informs.

"Guess we are gifting to the boss, soon." James states.

"Yes, you're right. Now Meowth, be a love and take care of it, capisce?" Jessie asks

"Well, I ain't do nothing without a vote." Meowth responds sounding a bit irritated.

"Alrighty! It's rock, paper, scissors, and SHOOT!" Team Rocket shout in unison as they did Rock, Paper, and Scissors but in the end, Jessie and James got paper... while Meowth got Rock.

Jessie and James snicker as Meowth sighed. "You got more fingers than me." Meowth groaned. "What are you lugs gonna do?" He asked 

but that answer was when Jessie and James tore off their clothes to reveal their bathing suits. "Research!" They exclaim while sunbathing under the sun. "In the ways of the rays."

Meowth sweat drops at this. "Who do I even ask." He sighed as he went to check on the Bird Pokémon.

But Team Rocket had didn't know was that they were being spied on. 

"Who are they?" Rosebay asked as she looked at them through her binoculars. 

"They're called Team Rocket." Volo explains bitterly.

Rosebay looks over and gasps to see a Pidgeot stuck in the net. "They caught that Pidgeot!" She gasps.

"Quick Pikachu, that Pidgeot needs help!" Ash speaks and Pikachu nods then run towards the net and saved Pidgeot with a Quick attack. "Great job, Pikachu!" Ash compliments. 

"Pika!" Pikachu replies smiling.

"Thank you so much." Rosebay thanked as Pidgeot lands to where the group were at. "You're going to be fine." Rosebay said, smiling as Pidgeot had made a happy chirp.

"So, Team Rocket is doing that! That's where the Bird Pokémon went." Brock stated. 

Gary frowns at this. "Those crooks...they are not going to get away with this!" Gary exclaims. 

"Pika!" Ash's Pikachu agreed.

"What kind of people are they?!" Rosebay demands.

"The kind that would steal my Starly and Volo's Togekiss." Ash responds before turning his attention to Pikachu "Pikachu, go on with Pidgeot and gather all the Pokémon from the forest! If we can get enough of them, we can ripe down the net!" Ash requested.

 Pikachu nods as it got on Pidgeot. Pidgeot waits till Pikachu gets on its back and then flew to the sky to get the Bird Pokémon with Pikachu riding on it. 

"We're counting on you!" Ash calls before turning to the others "Come on, guys. Let's go save the Captured Pokémon!" Ash urged. 

"That goes without saying, Ash" Volo agrees and with that the others had headed off to where the Bird Pokémon were being captured.

-meanwhile-

Carnivine, Cacnea and Seviper had guard the door as Meowth came over. "You're a green mean, garden machine." He compliments as he opened the door, having to twirl the gold ring.

"Now, you lugs. Time to make a rich guy and a Meowth very happy!" Meowth sneered as he held a gold ring! All the Flying Types except Starly, Togekiss, and Hoothoot grew frightened by this. Meowth let out an evil grin as he opened the Swablu's cage and pulled it out! He tortured the Swablu by putting it in the gold ring.

"Great! Now this is my kind of big buck ring toss! Alright, no trouble, and no one gets hurt! We're taking a trip to 'Boss land'!"Meowth cackles, threatening the other bird Pokémon. Starly, Togekiss and Hoothoot nod at each other, seeing their chance.

As Meowth made a glance at Hoothoot, the Flying Type used Hypnosis on Meowth! Its eyes glowed, staring at Meowth. Meowth grew dizzy for a while, then, he was under Hoothoot's spell.

"Okay, maybe I was hasty barking at the orders like that. So here's the deal, your wing wishes is my command" Meowth moaned. 

"Starly!" Starly demanded.

"You wanna fly? Fly, whee..." Meowth moaned as he released the captive Swablu. 

"Togekiss!" Togekiss also demands. 

"Sure. Why not? Okay, troop. Time to hit the wild blue yonder!" Meowth moaned as he "accidentally" freed the bird Pokémon from their cages.

"Starly, Starly, Star!" Starly called. 

"No big deal. Just dig a hole, straight up and you guys are out of here!" Meowth moaned, explaining the way out of the base. 

The Fearows began to make their move for the start of their escape, with their friends.

"Toge!" Togekiss gives Starly a pat on the head with its wing like a big brother being proud of his little brother.

"Starly!" Starly chirps happily.

-with our heroes-

Ash, Dawn, Volo, Gary, Brock, and Rosebay crept onto Team Rocket's base as they see that Jessie and James were fast asleep. Rosebay saw the coast was clear when she saw with the binoculars. "Alright, let's go!" Volo whispered as he slid down the slope, with Brock, Ash, Rosebay, Dawn and Gary following.

Volo hushes before signaling Ash to check if the coast is clear before he sneakily went inside with the others following, having Brock to close the door in the process.

-with the Bird Pokémon-

To the bird Pokémon and the hypnotized Meowth, they all began to work on their escape! The Fearows worked on pecking the rocky walls to make a hole. 

Meowth used Fury Swipes to aid them. "Glad to help, guys." Meowth moaned.

The Swablus carried dirt around to make the hole bigger! Meowth helped by carrying the dirt in a basket himself! "I been meaning to get more exercise! Good for the upper body."

-with our heroes-

The six of them were climbing down the ladder for the underground base! "This is some deep hole!" Rosebay gasped.

"The thing is, where is everybody?" Ash asks.

"This doesn't make any sense whatsoever to have a base in the first place." Gary states with a sigh.

The ladder was finished as they began to run for the room where all the Flying Types were held! Just then, Ash saw an underground security camera, revealing the outside, and the cages where they saw Flying Types escaping.

"Starly!" Ash gasps then grit his teeth "What are they doing down there?!" he questions

"Wait!" Volo looks at Rosebay "Rosebay, earlier you said there are Hoothoots in this forest?" he asks Rosebay nods "I'm guessing when Meowth went to check on the Pokémon Starly and Togekiss must have talked to a Hoothoot to use Hypnosis on Meowth to help them escape" the others looks shocked at this reveal.

"How are you be sure?" Brock asks.

Volo looks at Brock "I'm just hypothesizing, but it'll make sense since because it seems like Starly's the one leading the Bird Pokémon" he points at the screen when you see Starly chirping as if it's leading the Pokémon.

"That could possibly be true, Volo you're a genius!" Ash praises.

-outside-

Meanwhile, Jessie and James were snoring, when they were woken up by a loud noise "Sounds like a small air force." James moaned. The two took a closer look. They saw lots and lots of Flying Type Pokémon with Pikachu on the Pidgeot "AHHH!" Jessie and James screamed in panic.

"Pika!!" Pikachu calls out and the Flying Types all used Quick Attack and Aerial Ace; with all the effort, the net was finally cut loose.

-with our heroes-

Underground, the five trainers saw the whole thing! "It's Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed. "Yeah, way to go!" he praises.

"Nice work!" Volo cheers.

-with Jessie and James-

James and Jessie had run into the control room and got ready. "Nobody ruins my suntan and gets away with it!" Jessie snarls. "Where is Meowth?!" She demands.

That's when the two of them looked in confusion before Jessie pulled out the microphone. "Meowth! What are you doing?!" She shouts, trying to connect to him.

-with Starly and Togekiss-

Where Starly and Togekiss were was at, Starly and Togekiss were escaping with the Flying type. 

"That's it. March on. Got to walk before you fly."Meowth moaned. "And have a nice day!"

Hoothoot made some angry hoots to Meowth. "No way, I know my place. If I escape as well, the spell will be broken, and you'll be droppings!" Meowth argued weakly. 

"Starly Star! Starly Star!" Starly chirped angrily.

"Togekiss!" Togekiss stood firmly by Starly's side

Meowth again argued, "Our thanks is knowing that I would be able to free Pokémon from the awful servitude, and that's has more value than anything else"

"Star, star, star, star!" Starly chirps 

Meowth translates "Now we'll get out of here somehow. You guys go first." Hoothoot wished luck to both Starly and Togekiss before it flies out to escape! "You have a nice day too" Meowth moans.

"Star, Star, Star." Starly chirped. 

"Yeah, maybe our paths will cross again." Meowth translate.

"Toge, Togekiss!" Togekiss cries looking at Starly

"I could've say anything better, myself" Meowth translates Togekiss. But that's when the spell was broken and Meowth had panicked as Starly looked over. "Where did they go!? And what the heck am I doing already!?" Meowth shrieked.

Togekiss stands between Meowth and Starly "Togekiss~" Togekiss cries winking at him.

Meowth blushes "W-What do you mean I helped them escape!?" Meowth questions before noticing Starly he glared at the Starling Pokémon "You! You did it! You let them escape and you're gonna pay! Cacnea, Seviper, and Carnivine! Emergency action!" Meowth called.

Seviper, Cacnea, and Carnivine surrounded Starly as it was determined to fight back! "A little late for that, double talk." Meowth said as he has his claws out. 

"Togekiss!" Togekiss gets to its battle stands before both avian Pokémon look at each othe and nod

Just as a four against two battle was about to start, Ash and Volo came right in, interrupting the start 

"There's Starly!" Ash calls.

"And Togekiss, too!" Volo adds "And there's the twerps!" Meowth grumbled.

Dawn, Gary, Rosebay, and Brock came by, witnessing the empty room! "It so great to find ya!" Ash said, relieved. 

"But I don't see the other Pokemon, anywhere." Gary said, looking around for them.

Then, Brock notices a hole behind Starly and Meowth "They must've escaped through that tunnel!" Brock exclaims. 

"And now, it's your turn to escape!" Ash then said happily.

But just as they were about to move, they heard a noise. "What was that?!" Dawn gasps.

"Something not good from the outside!" Volo responds.

-outside-

"It's time to shake off those trouble making twerps!" Jessie stated as she and James pulled the levers, hard. That was when the ground starts shaking.

Pikachu notices that the base was transforming into a robot.

Everyone gasps at that as Meowth panicked. "Yipe! Hey, you're not supposed to relocate without me!" He shouts.

The robot was standing as a ladder appeared. "Whoa, what's that?" Rosebay asked. 

"We call this machine that 'You Really Can't Take When You Can't Mark 93!" Meowth answered.

"Wow, took a while to get it right." Brock said as he sweat drops.

"What kind of dumb name is that for a robot?" Gary asks as he had this confused look on his face.

"Now you're going to see time well spent!" Meowth snarls then went up the ladder. "Let's hit it, guys!" He shouts to which Seviper, Carnivine and Cacnea followed.

"Gah! We're flapping in a flock of feathers!!" Jessie shrieked as she controlled the robot to throw giant nets at the Flying Types!"

The doors slide open as Meowth came in with the other. "Whelp, here we are!" He announced. 

"What in the name of the boss did you do with the Pokémon that was pilfered?!" James demands.

Meowth had panicked on that. "Okay, the truth is that I let them all out because I got hypnotized by a Hoothoot and that was that!" He explained.

"What?!" Jessie and James gasped out of shock.

"You're going to have to make amends. Go and get them all. Pronto!" Jessie demands as she hit the button. "Alright then, feather brains! Time to clean up the obstacles and put you back behind bars to where you Yahoos belong! Giovanni is waiting for you and I am waiting for Giovanni's generous gift of rings!" Jessie shrieked as she controlled the robot to throw giant nets at the Flying Types! Some Flying Types escaped underground with the heroes following them.

Ash saw a net almost capturing Pidgeot and Pikachu dodging the net from being caught "Quick, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt! Let's go!" Ash yells.

The Electric Mouse Pokémon tried to zap the robot, but it didn't even make a burnt mark.

"It's too big for it!" Volo snarls.

"Zap us all you want. We'd like the work of real wood!" Jessie laughs.

"And how it would keep out twerps!" James added as the Team Rocket controlled the robot. "But too bad that you're not bigger than us!" Jessie said as the robot had tried to stomp on the heroes as they ran for their lives.

But in the end, the robot had stomped the hole that was made, having Team Rocket screamed as they were tumbling down with the destroyed robot by the giant hole.

"And that's why People say they should watch their step" Gary jokes.

"They sure are loud!" Rosebay states. 

"Well, this is what they get for being too cocky in the first place." Volo also states.

Team Rocket groaned as they got out of the destroyed wooden robot "Man, what was I thinking? I guess now, we got ourselves a campfire!" Meowth chuckled. 

"And it's biodegradable!" James chuckled.

The joke didn't impress Jessie. "Will you two zip it?"

"Pikachu, are you okay?" Ash asks.

"Ash, I think everyone is okay." Rosebay replied.

Volo nods "for now" he said before turning towards Team Rocket "As now, we have these three to be concern about" he said.

Everyone turned to see Team Rocket preparing for battle! "The bird Pokémon belong to us!" Meowth snarls

"I'm sorry, I don't see your name written on them" Volo sassily respond making Team Rocket growl

"Listen, is that a twerpish voice I hear?"

"It's shrieking to me loud and clear!"

"On the wind."

"Past the stars."

"In your ear"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace!"

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place!"

"A rose by any other name's just as sweet."

"When everything's worse, our work's complete!"

"Jessie!"

"And James!"

"Meowth, that's a name!"

"Putting the do-gooders in their place."

"Team Rocket!"

"We're in your face!"

"Wobbuffet!"

"Starly, use Wing Attack! Stop them!" Ash called. Starly charged towards Team Rocket.

"Dustox! Time to use Gust!" Jessie called. As the Poison Moth Pokémon was called as Dustox creates a harsh gust of wind it blew away Starly.

"Toge!" Togekiss catches Starly and they both land harshly as Togekiss hurt its wing.

"Togekiss!" Volo calls the Jubilee Pokémon.

"Whoa, that was strong!" Ash exclaimed.

Jessie laughed for the two Pokémon's failure "Cacnea, use Pin Missile!" James called. Cacnea shot glowing needles at Pikachu.

"Ash heads up!" Volo warns.

"Pikachu dodge it with Quick Attack!" Ash yells as Pikachu dodges the Pin Missile with Quick Attack.

Volo goes to check on Togekiss "Togekiss are you okay?"

"Toge" Togekiss struggles to get up and falls as Volo catches Togekiss.

"Oh no Togekiss you're hurt" Volo looks shocked at see the bruise of Togekiss's wing "Oh, Togekiss you took such a big bump only to saved Starly..." Volo tears up "I should've been more cautious with your wellbeing, Togekiss, I'm sorry" He apologized as a tear rolls down his cheek which three other boys notices this and something in them explode with rage

"You made, Volo cry..." Ash mutters.

"How dare you..." Brock adds.

"You're gonna pay for that!" Gary yelled as Umbreon comes out of its Pokéball on its own looking as angry as its trainer knowing that Togekiss got hurt.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cries angry when it sees Togekiss hurt.

"Bonsly, let's go!" Brock called.

"Bonsly!" Bonsly cries appearing.

"You can't beat us with that bowling pin! Dustox, use Gust!" Jessie snickered. Once again, Gust made its move, blowing Bonsly away.

"Bonsly! No!" Brock shouted. 

Bonsly whimpered as its horns began to glow which only the blonde notice 'Mimic!' Volo thought with a smile.

"Give it up! You can't beat us, the Team Rocket organization against with that puny and useless power!" Jessie laughs and Volo growled at them "Dustox, give them a Gust!"

More Gust came to Bonsly's way, as Bonsly made a new move! It used Gust as well, repelling Dustox's! 

"Whoa! What was that!?" Ash asks out of shock. 

"I think... Bonsly just used Gust!" Dawn exclaimed.

"no better than that" Volo said making Ash and Dawn look at the Blonde "Bonsly just learned Mimic!" he reveals with teary eyes making Brock smile proudly at Bonsly.

"What's Mimic?" Rosebay asks looking at Volo. 

"A move where you duplicate your opponent's attack!" Brock explained. 

"You plagiarists! Dustox, use Psybeam!" Jessie screeches.

Dustox releases a multicolored beam from its eyes at Bonsly

"Bonsly, dodge it and then use Mimic!" Brock calls and Bonsly quickly dodged it before using Mimic, as the green orbs on Bonsly's head glow white and it releases a multicolored beam from in between them at Dustox who had panicked and got hit as it fall to the ground.

Jessie screamed of her poor Dustox "My little purple pal!" She shrieks.

Bonsly lands standing proud "Wow, Bonsly rocks!" Dawn says with amazement in her tone of voice.

"For sure, wow Bonsly, you were great!" Brock called.

"Bonsly!" Bonsly replies.

"Oh yeah? Well we'll do greater!" Jessie shrieked. The Team Rocket made an assault 

"We're going to have to hit them once!" Ash snapped. Dawn, Gary and Brock helped out, too.

Just as an attack was going to be made, Starly looks at Togekiss  with sadness feeling guilty for letting Togekiss get hurt.

"Starly..." the Starling Pokémon looks at Volo "Don't feel guilty, You were amazing, but now Ash and the others needs all the help they can get, Go Starly show them you're not worth to underestimate! We believe in you!" he encourages Starly 

"Togekiss!" Togekiss encourages the smaller Flying type despite being injured 

Starly looks at the two of them with awe before looking determined and flew pass the rest of our heroes "Starly!" Ash calls.

Starly flies up in the air and begins to glow as Volo smiles at this

Our heroes gasps at this "What's going on?!" Ash questions.

"It's Evolving!" Gary states.

Volo smiles "A Staravia was born" he whispers.

"Kiss" Togekiss smiles.

Starly had started to change form into a now grayish-brown, avian Pokémon with black and white markings. Its head and upper body are primarily black with an "M"-shaped pattern over its white chest. On its forehead is a grayish-brown spot. On its face is a white, mask-like marking with a pattern of spikes along the lower edge. It has small, black eyes with white pupils and a long, orange beak with a black tip. On the back of its head is a long tuft of feathers, which curves forward. The lower halves of its wings are black, and it has black tail feathers with a single white feather in the center. Its orange, anisodactyl feet have black talons.

And its voice changed. "Staravia!" The new Pokémon cried. 

"It can't be!" Ash stammered. 

"Starly evolved!" Dawn exclaimed.

"It's Staravia now!" Volo informs loud enough for the to hear him.

"Togekiss!" Togekiss smiles proudly at the newly evolved Pokémon.

Staravia nodded to its trainer "Alright! This is great! Staravia, use Aerial Ace!" Ash calls. The Pokémon had attacked Team Rocket with Aerial Ace and sent them flying to the sky.

"Wonderful weather for flying." James sighed.

"Just smell that air." Jessie sighed.

"You can't beat 'em, join them is what I would always say!" Meowth sighed.

"It makes me forget of what's coming next" Jessie sighed.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket screamed as they disappeared out of sight.

Staravia flies down in front of Ash. "Wow! Starly, you were great!" Ash tell his Pokémon before realizing that it's not a Starly anymore "Uh oh, I mean, Staravia!" Ash chuckles. 

Dawn takes out her Pokédex to check the data of the new comrade "I've got to see this!" She states.

"Staravia, the Starling Pokémon. Staravia flies over forests and fields, and travels in large flocks."

"Staravia, thanks to you, all the forest Pokémon are safe now!" Rosebay thanked as Staravia gave a low and happy chirp.

Volo and Togekiss walks up to the others "Staravia you were amazing" he praised the Pokémon.

"Kiss!" Togekiss gives Staravia a pat on its head.

"Staravia!" Staravia smiles standing proudly.

Pikachu and Umbreon pouted at the two's brotherly bond.

Everyone noticed that the Bird Pokémon were heading back to their home as Hoothoot was thanking both Togekiss and Staravia to which Staravia waves back, chirping and Togekiss smiles and waves with it's good wing.

"What a team!" Ash exclaims. "We got a Staravia now! Get ready for big wins!"

"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed.

So with that, Rosebay waves our heroes goodbye to which the group waved back as Staravia and a newly recovered Togekiss fly over them as the group went after it with big smiles on their faces.

As Rosebay waves a fun farewell to our heroes grateful for their valuable helping skills for a whole forest of bird Pokémon, Oreburgh City and it's Oreburgh Gym silently take Ash, Volo and his friends towards their first Sinnoh League Gym Battle.
