Third Person's POV

"Round we go!" Dawn sing while twirling as she wears a pink dress she'll be using for the Contest.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu twirls along with Dawn causing Volo to laugh of how adorable Pikachu is.

'I can't believe this is happening, this is where Dawn and Zoey meet for the first time, this is great!' he thought fanboying

"I've never seen this side of you, Dawn!" Brock comments.

Ash also looks surprised "Wearing a dress is a new one on me!"

"What'd you expect for a Pokémon Contest?" she asks.

"You mean you're all dressed up because it's your first time out?"

"You see Ash, here in Sinnoh, Pokémon Contests are slightly different in comparison with Kanto and Hoenn, what makes them different is the fact is that the coordinator must appeal to the occasion, although you can still wear your normal clothes is just, a Sinnoh thing" Volo explains to Ash which Dawn nods agreeing with her friend/rival.

The time has come, and the future is at hand. Now that Volo and Dawn's much-anticipated Pokémon Contest debut is off and running!

Dawn then looks at the phone booth where her Mother Johanna's in the call.

Johanna has a fair complexion with blue eyes and hair styled into a bob with a red hairclip. Her outfit consists of a white, long-sleeved shirt, a peach and red apron with pockets and blue capris. She wears red footwear depending on the location; while home, she wears slippers but while outdoors, she has heeled shoes.

"Mom, thanks so much! I just love my new dress!" Dawn tell her mom gratefully for the dress that she got from her mom.

"I'm thrilled that you like it and all, dear, but I think you need to take a look in the box I sent" Dawn looks back at the phone booth confused "There should've been a choker in that box!" Johanna then said.

"Choker? I didn't see a choker" Dawn responds as then a meow sound is heard by the female

Our heroes see a gray feline Pokémon with a slender physique. It has a crescent-shaped head with two white-tipped ears. It also has a white muzzle, a small black nose, pink eyelids, yellow eyes with blue irises, and two rows of thin whiskers. Its neck has a ruff-like fringe, and its legs have similar fringes. Its feet are tipped with white and have pink paw pads on the underside. It has a long, curled, spring-shaped tail and a white fluff at the tip of it.

"Meow!" the Pokémon cries proudly.

"It's a Glameow" Dawn states.

'Not just any Glameow, it's Zoey's Glameow meaning Zoey's close by' he thought looking around looking for the certain coordinator.

Ash then pull out his Pokédex "Wow! Let's see."

"Glameow, the Catty Pokémon. When angry, it flashes its claws, but it also can purr quite affectionately."

Glameow moves its tail showing off a black choker with a red-ish pink ribbon

"Now, what do we have here?" Dawn questions looking at the choker.

"Hey, that's your choker!" Johanna tells Dawn as Volo takes the choker off Glameow's tail.

"Thanks, Glameow" he thanked the Pokémon as he goes behind Dawn and puts it on the girl while Dawn moves her hair away so Volo can clip the choker "there we go" Volo said.

"So Volo what about you?" Volo hears Gary questioning him.

"I have a outfit for the occasion, but it wouldn't be a surprise if I show it off this soon" Volo answers.

"there you are" an unknown voice is heard by our heroes.

'She's here!' Volo squeals internally as he sees a girl walking up to them who Volo knows her as Zoey.

Zoey has short orange-red hair that is styled in a similar way to Ash Ketchum, brownish-red eyes, and a dark magenta shirt under a light orange vest, and pale blue jeans with black sunglasses above her hair. She wears red socks and brown boots with gray, brown laces. She also wears a small necklace around her neck and has a pink Pokétch on her left wrist.

"Are you the one who found this?" Dawn question.

Glameow jumps in the other girl's arms "It was on the floor in the dressing room!" Zoey explains.

"But how did you know it was Dawn's?" Brock then asks.

"Matching that with the owner was a breeze! She's the only girl in this whole complex who's actually wearing something that would go with it!" Zoey simply explains.

"I am? Thank you!" Dawn thanked Zoey before turning back to the phone booth "See? I've got the choker now, so you don't have to worry about a thing!" She tells her mom.

"When you tell me not to worry is when I worry the most!" Johanna said making her look confused before noticing that Zoey is no longer in sight.

"She's already gone!" Ash said noticing that Zoey was gone already.

Volo crosses his arm and exhales hiding his fanboying over his favorite side character "I have a feeling that it won't be the last of her" he said.

"Honey?" Johanna calls her daughter "The last thing you need to be doing in your first contest is to be absent-minded, so watch out!" she warns.

"Don't worry!" Dawn replies.

Volo sweat drops "Wrong choice of words, Dawn" he tells the navy-bluette female.

"And what do I do the most when you tell me not to worry?" Johanna questions making Dawn sulk remembering the previous words that her mom told her.

"Hey, don't worry. We'll be here!" Ash assures Dawn's mother.

"Cheering her on to do her very best!" Brock adds.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu cheers.

Gary stands between Ash and Brock "We all will" he tells the middle-aged woman.

Volo nods "even though Dawn and I will be rivals during the contest, but she can always count on me for tips of improvement" he said.

"I know I can count on you four! I'll be glued to the TV watching, so good luck!" Johanna tells them.

"Okay, Mom!" Dawn responds.

"Also, may I have a word with Volo for a moment?" Our heroes look at each other confused.

"Sure, Mom; we'll be off to training now" Dawn said before she leaves with Ash, Brock and Gary leaving only Johanna and Volo alone.

"What is that you want to talk to me about?" Volo asks.

Johanna sighs "Volo you see, Dawn is a strong girl, becoming a Coordinator is not a easy path it takes a lot of concentration and dedication, and she's lacks that, I'm afraid of when she loses, but I need if you ever face Dawn, I want you to go all out with no mercy" she then tells Volo.

Volo frowns and understands her intentions "Miss Johanna, I am sure that, Dawn will grow, this is her first contest, I did warn her that I won't be a push over if I ever cross paths with her during the performance battle round" he tells the woman.

Johanna nods "I see, I'll be wishing nothing but the best of luck for the both of you" she then said.

Volo nods "right, and don't worry too much for Dawn, sure this is her first contest and is also my first, but she's a though girl, and I can see that for as long as since we met, she'll face some moments where she'll learn from them and become better, that's the type of Coordinator I see in Dawn" he said "and I would've fall for her if I was Straight" he then said without thinking.

"You like, guys?" Johanna asks.

Volo realizes his mistake and panics "I-I mean-" he tries but the middle-aged woman cut him off.

"Is alright, Volo; I have no problem with you liking boys, don't tell Dawn I told you this but I can tell that she's a Bi-curious, I could tell by a mile away, even though she doesn't know it herself" Joahnna said.

Volo sighs with relief knowing that Dawn's mom accepts him regardless of his sexuality he thanked Johanna for her best wishes before ending the call as he walks out to the arena as he sees Dawn now in her normal clothes and the others while seeing Aipom showing off a unique combination move with its Swift.

'Oh, forgot this happened' Volo laugh sheepishly

"That's a good-looking move, all right!" Brock says as he and Gary walks up to the Pokémon with Bonsly in arms.

"Bonsly!" Bonsly looks impressed with Aipom.

Gary then looks at Ash "Hey, Ash! I think Aipom wants to compete in the contest as well" he tells him.

Ash looks shocked at the idea before running up to the Long Tail Pokémon "Aipom, is that true?" Ash then asks.

Aipom looks at Ash and smiles "Aipom! Aipom!" Aipom happily cries.

Dawn then walks up "Aipom always watch us and Volo practice" Dawn then says "It's no fun sitting on the sidelines. Piplup, what do you think?" she then ask the Penguin Pokémon.

"Piplup!" Piplup agrees with its trainer.

Volo then pulls out his Pokédex and a picture of a Aipom appears on the screen.

"Aipom, the Long Tail Pokémon. Aipom is able to climb and hang from branches using its powerful tail. Aipom live atop tall trees."

"How would you and Aipom like to compete in the Jubilife Contest?" Dawn then suggests.

Ash points at himself out of confusion "Who, me? In the contest with Aipom?" he questions.

Dawn nods "Why not? Hey, I think it would be a lot of fun! Just think maybe you and I could compete against each other!" she explains

BROCK: Ash, you could give it a shot and see what you think.

Ash looks at the others hesitant before turning to Volo "what do you think?" he asks.

Volo smiles "I mean if you're asking me, I wouldn't miss on trying on something new but is your choice" Volo tells Ash.

"I guess so..." Ash responds sounding unsure before both Aipom and Pikachu climb on both Ash shoulders then finally gives in "Kay, I'll do it!" he then agrees as his Pokémon are excited "Well, if you wanna do it right, we'll need to do some training!" Ash then says to Aipom who nods determinedly.

"May the best wins" Volo said. "Of course, there's something else you need to do." he then points out

Ash looks back at Volo "What's that, Volo?" he questions.

Both Brock and Gary sweat drop "Uh... your entry?" they both answer for the blonde.

Dawn gasped "I totally forgot!" she stated

"Piplup?" Piplup looks confused as

Ash, Gary, and Brock gasps with shock.

"Well if we don't hurry up we would still make it" Volo advise them which they all agree.

-scene change-

Volo enters the arena with Ash and Dawn panting tiredly behind the blonde.

"Excuse me the three of us would like to enter the contest" he said while pointing at himself and then at Dawn and Ash behind him.

"Of course! I'll just need to see both of your contest passes, then" the receptionist tells the trio.

"We, kinda don't have them yet" Ash said between panting.

The woman nods in understanding "That means this must be your first contest, then! I'll just need to put your Pokédex into one of these slots to register you".

Ash nods "Okay" he says as he notices three slots before them.

Ash, Dawn, and Volo put their Pokédex into the slots and they both look up at the big screen behind her

The receptionist then smiles "There! Your ID information has been downloaded and from your Pokédex memory" she explains as Ash, Dawn and Volo's Pokédex are then pull out from the slots along with ID cards from three slots above the one where the trio put their Pokédex "You're all set" she then said "Those two ID cards will serve as your Coordinator contest passes from now on!" she then explains as the three pick up the cards "You can enter any contest in the Sinnoh region that you like with them!" she then explains.

"Perfect" Volo said looking at the card and put his Pokédex away.

"There are a few other items that you'll need, right here..." she pulls out a stray with three cases one Pink, one yellow and one blue, three Pokéball size capsules and three small envelop "There's a ribbon case, a Ball Capsule, Seals, and the rulebook, of course" She then finishes.

Volo nods before taking the Capsules and the cases 'This is even cooler in person, I'm living a dream that a average Pokémon fan would be so jealous off!' Volo thought excitedly looking at the items in hand 'I wonder if Cynthia would be watching?' he questions.

"Ball Capsule, huh?" Ash then questions while looking at the mentioned item in hand.

"Pika" Pikachu looks interested in knowing about the Capsules as well.

"Well, Brock allow us to explain to you" Volo said pointing at both Dawn and himself.

Dawn nods agreeing to explain to the three Kantonians "In Sinnoh region contests, everyone's Pokémon makes a super dramatic entrance from their Pokéballs!" she then tells them.

"What do you mean?" Ash questions.

Dawn smiles at Ash "It's easier to show you than try and explain." she then responds before opening the capsule and pulling out a Pokéball "First you put your Poké Ball into the Ball Capsule." Dawn starts explaining while putting the Pokéball into the capsule and closes it "Put the seal on, then..." she places a seal on the center "Throw it! Like this!" Dawn then throws the ball up in the air as the Pokéball opens while a barrage of pink hearts comes out of there before Piplup appears.

"Piplup!" Piplup pops out.

The Kantonians looks amaze at what they just witnessed.

"It's pretty neat, huh?" Dawn asks proudly at what she demostrate

"There are all sorts of different seals, and they work in lots of different ways, see?" Volo then explains.

"Yeah! I wanna use them all!" Ash said making Volo let out a chuckle at Ash enthusiasm which causes Ash to blush a bit which Gary and Brock frown.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu agrees with Ash.

Volo then looks down 'by tomorrow we will see Not only Zoey, but also Jessie under the alias Jessilina which honestly it's one of my favorite disguises of hers along with Jessilee in the XY and XYZ series' he thinks.

-scene change-

Our heroes are currently as sleep, but Dawn wakes up and silently sneaks out to the balcony and pulls out two Pokéballs "Piplup, Buneary, come out" Dawn whispers as she throws the Pokéball upwards

"Piplup/Buneary" both Piplup and Buneary appear while yawning.

Dawn then walks up to the edge of the balcony and leans on the stoned wall to rest her arms on "Sure is nice" she said as both her Pokémon run up to the edge and watches the city lights from the bars of the edge of balcony "All these thoughts about tomorrow's contest keep rolling around in my mind... I can't sleep!" Dawn admits sounding excited but looks down and pull out her lucky charm, her mom's first ribbon that she have ever won.

"Piplup?" Piplup calls for its trainer sounding concern.

Dawn looks at her Pokémon "what's this?" she asks before showing the ribbon to both Piplup and Buneary "See, my mom gave this to me for good luck!" she tells them while her Pokémon look at the ribbon "This is the very first Contest Ribbon that she ever won!" she explains as Piplup and Buneary look amazed at the ribbon knowing the amount of meaning the ribbon Dawn shows has "The main reason I can't sleep is. I keep thinking over and over about how much I want to show the crowd tomorrow how special you two are! I know you two are going to be great!" She then said.

Piplup and Buneary cried excitedly looking forward for tomorrow little did they know a certain blonde's listening to the whole conversation.

"Me too, Dawn, me too..." Volo whispers before walking back to the room and looks over at the attire that he brought for him to wear in the contest "Tomorrow is the day" he speaks to himself.

-the next day-

is the day of the Jubilife City Contest as you can hear the audience erupting with cheers from the outside.

Greetings and a warm welcome to Coordinators and contest fans of all ages!"

A spotlight points at a woman who wears a yellow dress and a pink headband. She also has light skin blue eyes Tawny-colored curly-ish wavy hair.

"We've all come together for one very special reason, and that's to find out who will take home the coveted and fabulous Jubilife Contest Ribbon! Now I know you've all been waiting patiently, and now it's time for you to be rewarded!" she announces as Pyro were turned up while the crowd cheered "We're coming at you live and on stage from the stadium located in Jubilife City. The city of joy!"

-Meanwhile-

in the changing room you can see Volo wearing a outfit that is a mix of mostly black with hints of white and gold but and in addition he styled his hair in a Arceus inspired style

He simply looks at the screen in the waiting room not noticing the stares almost the entire room were giving the blonde.

-at the stage-

"So, let's get down to business and find out who gets the Jubilife Ribbon!" Marian the master of ceremony announces while showing a ribbon in hand "And a real beauty it is! Add to this, four additional contest wins, and you're eligible to compete in the prestigious Grand Festival. The winner of that event taking the title of Top Coordinator!" She explains.

-with Volo-

"Ash must be looking for Dawn, I shouldn't be too worried about them, but..." he eyes on Zoey and Jessilina aka Jessie "but I am concern about these two, despite being Jessie, she's one force to be recon with when it comes to these things" he whispers to himself luckily for him no one heard him "And Zoey, that's another story, not only that she'll be the typical friendly rival, but her skill can be quite impressive as well" he adds.

-back at the stage-

"It's time for me to introduce our judges, and here they are!" Marian points on to the side showing three people as the curtain behind her rises "Head of the judging committee and Pokémon Contest director, Mister Contesta!" she firstly introduces the man in a red suit.

"Thank you! I look forward to seeing some real teamwork between Coordinators and their Pokémon!" the Man named Contesta greets.

"And now the head of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Sukizo!" Marian continues.

"Remarkable is the word. Thanks!" the slight shorter man comment.

"And finally, Jubilife City's own Nurse Joy!" Marian finishes.

"Wow, when it comes to seeing all the splendid Pokémon, I can't wait!" Nurse Joy states excitedly while waving at the crowd as they applaud to the three of them.

"I think we can all relate to that, now, can't we?" Marian questions before acting like she forgot about introduce someone else "Oh! I forgot about me! I'm Marian, and I'm thrilled to be your master of ceremonies, and thanks so much!" she then introduces herself before continuing "And now it's time for the first round, where one by one, our Pokémon take their positions on the performance stage!"

-at the waiting room-

"The purpose of this round is to see how our Coordinators make their Pokémon shine, showing off power and beauty!"

Brock and Gary notices Ash and Dawn arriving "There you are!" Brock states.

"We were worried that you three will be no shows"

"Three?" Ash looks confused.

Dawn realizes "where's Volo?" she asks.

Volo hears his friends asking for him, so he decides to make his presence known as he walks up to the rest of our heroes.

"I'm here" Volo said.

The four of them look at the blonde with amazement "wow, Volo you look amazing!" Dawn was the first to break the silence.

Volo smiles "Thanks, Dawn! You don't look bad yourself" he compliments back.

Dawn smile "thanks, also the reason I was late because I was having loads of trouble with my hair, but Zoey, who's the girl who found my choker yesterday, helped me out!" she points out before looking around "Funny, I don't see her" she then said.

"Is Zoey the orange pixie cut hair girl with the Glameow?" Volo asked.

"Yeah, her!" she stated.

"Well, she's not here because she's the first to perform" Volo explains pointing at the screen which everyone looks back

"And now for contestant number one! It's Zoey!" Marian announces as they see Zoey on the stage.

"Okay! that's her now!" Dawn states excited to see her perform.

-with Zoey-

"Misdreavus, curtain!" Zoey throws her Pokéball and smokes pops out of there and in the smoke, you can see a silhouette "Now double team" Zoey commands as multiple clones of the silhouette appear in the smoke

"That smoky silhouette really shows the mischievous elegance of Misdreavus!" Marian comments.

-with our heroes-

"So mysterious!" Dawn says with awe.

Ash nods "She knows what she's doing"

Brock then looks at Ash "It's the perfect showcase! What better way for a Ghost Pokémon than that?" he tells Ash sounding impressed with Zoey's choice of skills

Volo remains silent as he focuses on watching Zoey's performance

-with Zoey-

"Confuse Ray!" Zoey yells

The large orb on Misdreavus's neck glows purple, and it shoots four silhouettes of itself from the necklace clearing the smoke in the process

now on stage you see a dark bluish-green, ghost-like Pokémon. While it has no visible arms or legs, its lower half has several small appendages and resembles a ruffled dress. It has five round red gems halfway around its neck. It has long, flowing lilac-tipped "hair". Misdreavus's large, red eyes have yellow sclerae.

-with our heroes-

"Lemme check it out"

"Misdreavus, the Screech Pokémon. Misdreavus loves being mischievous by pulling people's hair and shocking them."

-with Zoey-

"Use Shock Wave!" Zoey commands.

Misdreavus's body becomes surrounded in yellow electricity and it emits waves of electricity from its body all around it.

-with the other-

"What an Electric attack!" Ash comments.

"And it's not just for show!" Brock said

Gary nods agreeing with Brock "Zoey's also demonstrating how powerful her Pokémon is!" he tells the others.

-back at the stage-

Misdreavus undoes its Shock Wave move as a yellow glitter rain falls on the audience as they cheer.

"It's like Misdreavus and Zoey are joined at the hip! Electrifying!" Marian comments as Zoey and Misdreavus made their final pose.

"Showing off her Pokémon in silhouette like that helped make a great performance!" Contesta said from the judge table.

"And remarkable!" Sukizo adds.

"An awesome balance between showing off her Misdreavus and its moves! First rate, all the way!" Nurse Joy said

"You don't hear Nurse Joy say "first rate" all that often, so when you do, it's a rave! Next up?" Marian questions.

After a two to three performances is Volo's turn to perform is coming up, he gets to the door to the stage "Volo wait!" he looks and sees Ash and the others running up to him "We want to wish you good, luck we know whatever you have plan will leave everyone's jaw dropped" Ash wishes him luck.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu cheers for Volo.

"We're cheering you on from right here, Volo!" Brock cheered.

"Break a leg, but not literally" Gary tells Volo.

"Steal the show as you always say" Dawn adds.

Never in his life not even his past life had felt so moved by the words of encouragement which makes him smile "Thanks you guys, it really means a lot" he said before giving Ash, Gary, and Brock a peck on the cheek each "I'm heading off now" he said while giggling leaving the three stunned males with red faces making Dawn giggle to herself enjoy the free bl moment in front of her.

As Volo heads to the main stage, he pulls out a capsuled Pokéball with a music note "I'm counting on you, my friend" he said to the ball

"And next up, we've got the Jubilife Contest debut of the next coordinator from Celestic Town is Volo!" Marian as a spotlight pointed at the center as Volo is seen risen to the stage.

Volo looks at the Pokéball and smiles confidently "I know you can do it" he whispers to the ball and looks forward "Meloetta, steal the show!" he throws the ball as the Pokéball opens and music notes of various color comes out and they all form into a treble clef and the then the treble clef explode and turns into a rain of music notes.

"Loetta" Meloetta appears making everyone look shocked at the Melody Pokémon as Volo expected from the crowd

-with Ash and the others-

"He's using Meloetta!" Brock states.

"I knew he was gonna use Meloetta for this round" Dawn said as if she was expecting to use the Melody Pokémon.

Jessie aka Jessilina frowns "This is going to be a problem with him competing" she whispers to no one in particular.

-with Volo-

"Okay Meloetta, time for us to steal the show with your enchanting voice, Use Relic Song!" Volo tells the Pokémon who nods and closes its eyes.

While Meloetta sings it flies towards the Judges who are in awe with Meloetta's voice and so did the audience show why Meloetta's not called the Melody Pokémon for nothing

Once Meloetta finishes singing and then changes to its Pirouette Forme.

Volo "Now time for the real show to begin!" He claims as music hits.

"Loetta!" Meloetta flies around and shows off ballet dance and Figure skating moves as Volo pulls out a Microphone

Zoey watches Volo's performance along with everyone else "That Volo guy really can steal the show, not only with a Pokémon no one has seen before, but also with his singing" she speaks to herself.

"Woah! Volo can sing!" Dawn said.

Gary nods "he did tell us to expect a surprise but not this" he responds as Ash and Brock were too amazed to speak from how amazed they are

"Meloetta Hyper Voice!" Meloetta uses Hyper Voice on the remaining Music notes floating around the arena turning them into glitter as it rain on the audience which they were all amazed. "Now Psychic!" he adds as Meloetta's eyes glow in blue light as Volo gets outlined by blue light while both Volo and Meloetta fly up in the air.

Volo and Meloetta flew back on the ground and the two pose as Meloetta turns back to its Aria Forme. then there was silence for a few seconds which was concerning before the audience erupt with cheers much to both Volo and Meloetta's shock.

"Talking about stealing the show, Volo and Meloetta sure stole the show from all of us" Marian comment.

"Never would expect to see a non Sinnoh native Pokémon performing in the Sinnoh Region and these two will go far" Contesta said.

"I bet, This Volo, boy will make even more remarkable moments like this one" Sukizo adds.

"Just a joy to see a Unovan Pokémon in a Sinnoh Region and showing how gracefully both trainer and Pokémon are" Nurse Joy finishes.

Volo bows and leaves the stage as he sees Jessilina walking pass him "Break a leg Jessie, but not literally" Volo wished Jessie leaving the female shocked that Volo Recognizes the female "No I won't snitch on you for everyone else's sake" he reassures Jessie.

Jessie looks back and sees that Volo's no longer in sight "You better keep your word" she said.

He enters the room while receiving a round of applause from the rest of the participants Volo bows before walking up to Ash and the others.

"Hey, guys" Volo greets

"You and Meloetta were amazing out there!" Dawn praise.

Volo nods "thanks a lot Dawn" he responds before turning to the stunned males "how was it"

"Amazing"

"Beautiful"

"Grace"

Volo blushes a bit hearing this but laughs a little before turning to Ash, "Ash, you better get ready because after Jessilina you're next"

"Jessilina?" Our heroes repeat the named Volo mentioned.

"And next up, we've got the Jubilife Contest debut of Jessilina!" Marian announces as you can see Jessilina standing up the stage waving at the crowd "Thank you, you're all absolutely right! Carnivine! Sidearm serve!" Jessie pulls out a pallet and hits a Pokéball and throws it up in the air and opens it with hearts coming out of there.

"Carnivine!" Carnivine greets while popping out.

"And it's Jessilina and Carnivine!" Marian states.

"Bullet Seed baby!" Jessilina throws her the "popsicle" in the air.

Carnivine fire a barrage of glowing seeds from its mouth hitting the popsicles shattering them into pieces.

"Next up is bite!" Jessie then said.

Carnivine jumps up in the air and then falls on Jessie biting her head making Jessie scream from the inside of Carnivine's mouth.

"What a toothy finish! Jessilina's reaction to Carnivine's Bite is the penultimate in dramatic flair!" Marian explains as the crow applaud.

Jessilina and Carnivine waves at the audience "Chin up, arms out, head held high!! Man am I gonna have a stiff neck tomorrow." she said.

"Carnivine!" Carnivine smiles proudly while still having Jessie's head in its mouth.

-with our heroes-

Volo laughs sheepishly while the others sweat drops at the scene on screen.

"That's gotta hurt." Dawn comment.

"Yeah, but talk about dedication!" Brock agrees.

Gary looks at Ash "You and Aipom are up next, right? break a neck, but not literally like she did" he said.

Ash nods before looking at Pikachu "You're gonna watch Pikachu?" Ash questions.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu nods before jumping on Volo's shoulder.

"Good Luck, Ash!" Dawn wishes Ash.

"Make other Kantonians proud" Volo cheers.

Ash laughed at that "can't promise that, but Aipom and I can give a good show" he said before leaving.

-scene change-

"And now I present, from faraway Pallet Town in the Kanto region... Now making his Jubilife City debut, say hi to Ash!" Marian announces as curtain rise and Ash run up and jumps

"Okay, Aipom! I choose you!" Ash throws a star sealed capsuled Pokéball and it pops opens letting out a barrage of stars and Aipom appears in between them

"Aipom!" Aipom appears.

"Use Swift, now!" Ash says.

Aipom's tail glows white, then it spins around and yellow stars shoot out and hit the star seal

"And Aipom makes an outstanding entrance with a dazzling Swift!" Marian explains as Aipom lands.

"Okay, Double Team!" Ash then says.

Aipom's body flashes as then multiple clones of Aipom appears in the air.

"Okay, now use Focus Punch!" Ash then said.

The hand on the end of Aipom's tail becomes surrounded in a light blue aura and spins doing a break dance move.

"Way to go!" Ash cheers.

"Wow! Aipom uses Focus Punch to take out that Double Team one by one!" Marian explains as Aipom does exactly what Marian is explaining.

Aipom then lands on its tail smiling proudly "Aipom!"

"Aipom, that was great!" Ash cheered for the Long Tail Pokémon.

"A most creative way for Aipom to use two moves!" Contesta starts.

"Besides Remarkable" Sukizo continues.

"Terrific teamwork between Coordinator and Pokémon, and with the way he used Double Team, it was like we were watching a battle, too!" Nurse Joy then said.

"Hey, thanks, everybody! I really appreciate such a big hand!" Ash said.

-with the others-

Our heroes are watching Ash waving at the audience.

"Wow, this seems natural for Ash" Gary commented.

"Ash looked right at home right there!" Brock then said.

Volo notices Dawn looking intimidated which Volo holds her hand making the female snap out of her nervous state and looks at the Blonde.

"Listen, Dawn it's okay to be nervous, but you know that you can't let the feeling take the better of you, just remember that you're not alone, and go have fun with your Pokémon" Volo encourages.

Dawn nods and smiles getting hyped "You got it" she replies.

"Ready, Dawn you're up next" a staffer calls Dawn.

Dawn looks at the man and nods "thanks!" she thanked the man.

"It's crunch time!" Brock informs.

"Took the words out of my mouth, Brock" Gary agrees.

Volo smiles at the two before turning to Dawn "like with Ash, we have your back" he reminds her.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu wishes Dawn good luck from Volo's shoulder.

"Thanks Pikachu, don't forget to cheer me on!" Dawn says as she tries to leave only to be stopped when she hears a familiar voice yelling at her.

"Good Luck!" Dawn turns and sees Zoey standing there with a friendly smile.

"Thanks Zoey!" she thanked before proceeds to run off.

Ash and Dawn meet at the hall "Have a good time out there" Ash tells Dawn.

"Ash you were just great!" Dawn praised.

Both Ash and Dawn exchange a high five before they both continue on their respective directions.

-at the stage-

"And now we have a debut! A young Coordinator who hails from Twinleaf Town, so let's give her a warm welcome: Dawn!" Marian announces.

Dawn closes her eyes and takes a deep breath 'No worries... No worries... like Volo said have fun' she self-reminds herself before reopening her eyes "Right. It's showtime!" Dawn then pulls out a capsuled Pokéball with Bubbles seal "Okay, Piplup! Spotlight!" Dawn throws the Pokéball upwards as bubbles comes out of the Pokéball and Piplup appears between them.

"Piplup!" Piplup pops out.

"Use Bubble Beam!" Dawn commands the bubble seal bounces on the ground as Piplup pushes them upward "Now let's use Peck!" Dawn said.

Piplup's Beak glows in white light before growing long much to everyone's awe.

"And Piplup's storing up some serious energy in that beak!"

Piplup looks up at the bubbles above it "Now Piplup let's go!" Dawn tells Piplup.

The Penguin Pokémon jumps high and pops the bubbles with its Peck attack rapidly.

"Now that's fast! I can hardly see it happening! But I can see enough to know it's beautiful!" Marian explains

The bubbles became a rain of white and blue glitter as Piplup lands standing proud while te audience applaud and Dawn makes a bow.

"A truly impressive performance! The combination of speed and cuteness kept me riveted!" Contesta comments.

"Besides Remarkable" Sukizo said his signature word.

"It was so easy to see Piplup's talent! I couldn't take my eyes off of them!" Nurse Joy then said.

-meanwhile at Twinleaf Town-

Johanna watches the Contest from her living room with her own Glameow sitting beside her.

"Not bad, but still a little stiff..." Johanna said.

"Meow!" Glameow agrees.

-scene change-

Dawn walks back to the waiting room as she meets up with the others.

"Wow, my heart was beating like a giant bass drum up there! Glad it all went so quick!" Dawn said.

"Dawn you were awesome!" Ash praised the female.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agrees with Ash looking happy for Dawn.

Brock nods "You should be feeling pretty good!" Brock then adds as Volo and Gary nod agreeing with the male.

"I guess I should but..." Dawn falls on her knees.

"Dawn, come on! You okay?" Ash ask with concern.

"Well, that's a normal reaction of relief when you're done performing" he said.

Dawn laughs sheepishly "Yeah, I guess I'm just so relieved it's finally over..." she said before she sees a hand reached out to her and then looks up and sees Zoey smiling at her "Hi, Zoey!" she greets the female.

"It's too soon to be relieved, isn't it?" the ginger questions before helping Dawn to get back on her feet "We've still gotta meet in the finals, right?" she then asks.

"Uh." Dawn blushes "oh yeah, you're right!" Dawn agrees.

Ash, Gary and Brock look confused as Volo chuckles to himself 'Love at first contest' he thought.

"And now it's time for the judges' results!" Zoey and our heroes hear Marian announcing as their attention turns straight to the screen "So here are the Coordinators who will be moving on down the line to the next round!" she then said as everyone looks at the screen with suspense.

This is it. the moment of truth. The culmination of months of planning, training, dreaming. So the dream continues, but who will continue their Jubilife City Pokémon Contest dream?
