Third Person's POV

Volo and our heroes are staring at a group of trainers practicing some performance movements.

"Wow. These Coordinators mean business!" Brock said.

"Yeah! And that means it won't be long now" Ash says looking at Dawn who nods in return.

Dawn then looks down at Buneary and Piplup "Piplup? Buneary? Are you ready to go?"

"Piplup!/Buneary!" Both Pokémon look up at their trainer ready for anything.

The place? Jubilife City of course! The largest city in the Sinnoh region! And the time? Just three short days before the start of Dawn and Volo's first Pokémon Contest!

As for right now Dawn holding a magazine as she leads the others to who knows where "Okay let's see." Dawn looks around and sees a certain place that she's looking for "Yup! Here it is!" she claims.

"Okay, I give. What in the world are we looking for?" Ash questions.

"A Pokétch shop" Dawn answers.

"Poke-who?" Ash questions again sounding more confused than he was a few seconds ago.

Dawn looks shocked "What? You've never heard of Pokétches?" she ask the Kantonians out of shock.

Gary looks dumbfounded "Dawn, we're from Kanto, what did you expect?" he asks back.

"Well, a Pokétch is a device that can get here in Jubilife City, since you three aren't Sinnoh natives, I'm not that surprised that you're unaware of them" Volo said making Dawn realize that they're from Kanto.

Our heroes then look up at a screen showing two girls showing off a watch-like device which Volo knows them at the Pokétch.

"Feast your eyes on the feature-packed Pokétch! It's like a laptop on your wrist, with more features to keep you right on time and looking way cool! Pokétch, in style, in stock, and here now!" A feminine voice is heard as realization hit the Kantonian

"Oh, I think I've heard people talking about them on the way here to Sinnoh" Ash said.

Gary laugh "No surprises that it slipped off your mind, well our minds in this case" he said.

"No surprise. They're all over T.V!" Brock states.

Dawn flips some pages and then shows a certain page to the boys "And in here!" she tells them making the others look at the page "See? It's a must-have for any top Coordinator! That means, I've gotta get one too!" Dawn explains.

Volo thought "hm... I guess I'm gonna get one myself, then"

-scene change-

Our heroes arrived to the shop...but

"What!?" Dawn screamed with shock "There're no more left?" she questions.

"A representative from the Pokétch company just came and took them all back" the shop worker answers.

"Do you know the reason?" Volo questions.

"It must be a manufacturing glitch" the worker explains.

Dawn sulks "that's just great" she says while Volo laughs nervously while patting the girl's back.

Our heroes are now walking down the streets of Jubilife city now lead by a depressed Dawn.

"I really wanted to have a Pokétch to wear for my first Contest" Dawn sulks.

"Don't let it bum you out" Ash tries to comfort the female.

"Hey, I know! Why don't we have a good lunch?" Brock suggests

"Lunch smutch!" Dawn states determined before pulling out her magazine and looks through the pages "I could really go for a triple banana split with extra hot fudge sauce!" she stated still feeling salty for not getting a Pokétch.

Volo laughs nervously 'Dawn... we're the same' he thought.

"Pokétches o' plenty!" a familiar voice is heard as our heroes looks forward.

The five teens see team Rocket dress as clowns holding strays of Pokétch which makes Volo tilts his head a bit.

'Okay Team Rocket, kill it, I guess' he thought.

"Enough to wrap around every wrist in Sinnoh!" James states

When it comes to making a fashion statement, you can be sure these three clowns ain't clowning around!" Meowth continues

"So be cool or drool!" both Jessie and James finishes.

"I want one!"

"Me too!"

"Me three!"

"That's right! Gather round!" Jessie said.

"And There's no charge to be hip!" James adds.

"There you go! You can get a Pokétch from those clowns!" Ash tells Dawn.

"Awesome!" She cheers before she goes up to the crowd "I've just gotta have one, too!" she said.

Team Rocket notices her with shock 'The Twerps can tell time?' they question in their thoughts before they regroup.

"You've gotta love this." Jessie whispers to her comrades.

"They get a Pokétch, but we get the prize!" James whispers back.

"Who would've thought we'd get paid in Pikachu?" Meowth then said to his human comrades in question.

Our heroes look at them confused "Excuse me, is something wrong?" Dawn asks.

Team Rocket then turns their attention back to the group.

"No! Something's right!" Jessie said

"And for being so polite, take this with our compliments!" James adds as he and Jessie hands out to Pokétches James holds a dark pink one while Jessie a dark blue one

Dawn then takes one from James and Volo takes one from Jessie "Really? That's great! Thank you so much!" Dawn thanked them.

Jessie and James then give Ash, Gary and Brock Pokétches as well "And we can't leave out the strapping young men!" they said at the same time

"Thanks, but I don't really need one" Ash tries to kindly deny the Pokétch.

Jessie and James waves Ash off "Don't sell yourself short!" they state.

"See, when the big hands on the five" Jessie tries before shaking her head realizing her mistake which Volo raises a brow at her "What I mean is Pokétch will make you feel alive!" she corrects herself

"That's it!" James agrees "Now be sure to wear it at all times!" he then said.

"And, if you wear it when you sleep, that's extra cool!" Meowth then said.

"Right! I'll wear it all the time!" Dawn nods.

-scene change-

Dawn looks at the Pokétch with awe "Wow! Dreams really do come true! I've just gotta win the Jubilife Contest now!" She states.

Then suddenly a quadrupedal, feline Pokémon resembling a lion cub or lynx kitten appears before our heroes. Its front half is light blue, while the rear is black. There is a short tuft of fur on its head and smaller tufts on each cheek. It has large, oval ears with yellow, star-shaped markings on the insides; yellow eyes; and a tiny, red nose. Whenever its mouth is open, small fangs can be seen in its upper jaw. A black marking encircles its neck like a collar, and there are yellow bands above its forepaws. Spiked fur surrounds the base of its long tail, which is tipped with a yellow star shape.

"Shinx! Shinx, Shinx!" It cries in warning.

Our Heroes look at the Pokémon "Wow, what's that?" Ash questions.

Volo smiles "it's a Shinx!" he stated with awe.

"Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. When it senses danger, the hairs on its body light up and it runs away, leaving its opponent dazed."

"Shinx, Shinx Shinx!" Shinx barks at Our heroes

"Uh oh; why's that Shinx barking so much?" she questions.

Volo then looks at the Pokétch in hand "I have a feeling that it has to do with these Pokétches" he said before kneeling to the Pokémon's level "Hey Shinx, do you believe these are fake?" he asks making the rest of our heroes look shocked at the blonde

"Shinx!" Shinx agrees.

Volo nods "Figured, I mean who gives a Pokétch for free? unless you're a scammer" he said.

"You're exactly right!" a younger voice is heard by the rest of our heroes as they see a young boy wearing what tiny suit.

"All fakes? That can't be!" Dawn states in disbelief.

"I mean if we think about it, Volo's not wrong, it does sounds suspicious if you ask me" Gary says.

"Are you sure?" Ash questions.

Brock nods "He's sure. Maybe they're right!"

"Of course he's not right! How dare you rank on my Pokétch!" Dawn denies what the boy says is true.

'The Nile (Denial) is a river in Egypt' Volo thought he smiles at the kid and hands him the Pokétch "hey, Kid sorry for my friend's denial phase, I can tell you're smart can you show her what makes this a fake Pokétch?"

The boy nods and takes the Pokétch "Sure" he responds with a smile on his face knowing that someone believes in him.

he goes to a near water fountain and pours water on it as he shows the Pokétch paint swept away.

"Wait how do you know?" Dawn questions.

"That's easy! Because my daddy would never make anything so cheap!" the boy explains.

"Daddy?" Our heroes repeated.

"Pika?" Pikachu looks as confused as its trainer and friends.

-scene change-

The Boy guided our heroes to a factory, where they are facing a man who apparently is the president of the factory and the one who invented the Pokétch and the boy who our heroes learn his name is Landis' father.

"Oh no, not again. First off, I want to thank you all for your interest in our Pokétches. And furthermore... on behalf of the Pokétch Corporation I apologize for my son's actions. I'm sorry for all the trouble he caused!" he apologizes to our heroes.

Volo shakes his head "there's no need to apologize, sir; Landis here actually did us a favor, if he and Shinx didn't walk up to us we would've realized that we've been scammed later" He assures the man.

Dawn nods "Volo's right! The ones who made the fake Pokétches should apologize!" she agrees.

They all have a proper look around the factory.

"Check it out. So this is where you make the real ones." Ash says.

"And as soon as I heard there were counterfeits in circulation, I had my distributors pull all my products from the stores! Unfortunately, we weren't in time to stop the television commercial ads..." the president explains sounding disappointed

"But sir? Will you be selling them again in time for the Pokémon contest?" Dawn then asks.

the President looks hesitant to answer the question, but he answers anyway "Truth is, until I get this imitation Pokétch problem solved, it's hard for me to say."

Dawn sighs "Oh. I see" she said.

Volo also sighs "I figured" he adds.

Landis looks over at both Volo and Dawn " Excuse me, are you two Pokémon Coordinators?" he ask them

"Yeah! The Jubilife Contest will be our first one!" Dawn answers.

Landis then smirks "I see. We've got a rookie on our hands, do we?" Dawn seems to be irritated by the comment.

"Well, we may be rookies, but who know our skill will leave your jaw on the floor when you see us in action" Volo said.

Landis looks at the blonde "coming from you, I'm convinced"

"I have something you two might be interested in!" the president said making both Dawn and Volo look curious he picks up two real Pokétches "Right here... These are prototypes" he shows off the device "It's our newest model! It actually measures a Pokémon's friendship, you see" he tell them.

Dawn looks confused "What?" she questions.

Volo looks at Dawn "That refers to the friendliness and good relations between a Pokémon and its trainer!" he explains as the other look with amazement.

Ash walks up "Hey, would you mind testing Pikachu and me?" he asks as Pikachu nods in agreement.

" Why not? Of course!" the president agrees before typing on the small screen and points the Pokétch at Ash and Pikachu "Shall we begin?" he ask

Ash nods "Sure!"

he taps a button and looks at the meter "Now, it appears you two get along well, But the question for now is: How well?" he said as the Pokétch shows a big glittery heart "Goodness gracious. You two are almost off the graph!" he states out of surprise.

hearing this surprised Landis as well "Wow! That might be the highest reading I've ever seen!"

Volo looks at Ash with a smile "I was sure you two would have a strong bond since I can tell from a mile away that you two had been together from way before you came to Sinnoh" he said.

Ash nods "Well, of course! That's because Pikachu and I've been best friends for a long time!" Ash explains.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu stands proud.

"Same with me and Umbreon and we both don't need a device to know how close we are, and I'm not saying it with offensive intentions, sir, just to prevent a misunderstanding" Gary then said.

"Umbre!" Umbreon agrees.

"If you don't mind, I'd like a shot! Croagunk, let's go!" Brock then throws a Pokéball as Croagunk pops out of its Pokéball.

"Croag" Croagunk cried greeting.

"So, how long has Croagunk been with you?" Landis asks.

"Not long. Honestly, I just caught Croagunk" Brock nervously explains.

Landis looks surprised "You did?" he asks.

"Well, let's go ahead anyway and have a look!" he said as he meters the friendship and relation between Brock and Croagunk then sees the results and gets taken a back "I can't believe it" he states out of shock.

Our heroes look curiously at the older man "Daddy is something wrong?" Landis questions his father as everyone minus Volo looks at the man with suspense.

The man then laughs and shakes his head "No no. I'm just amazed that's all!" he said ash the meter shows that there's a big glittery heart on the screen "You two are extremely close!" he stated.

"It's like you're friends for years" Landis then said.

"Croag?" Croagunk and Brock look at each other with shock on Brock's side.

'Yeah, Brock and Croagunk's bond is as surprisingly meant to be as I remember, lmao' Volo thought.

"All right, now it's my turn! Go Piplup!" Dawn said as she throws her Pokéball and Piplup appears.

"Piplup" Piplup pops out of its Pokéball and lands in front of Dawn.

"Well! Such a spirited Pokémon you have here!" the man said as he kneels before Dawn and Piplup "Shall we?" he asks.

"We're all set!" Dawn responds.

"Piplup!" Piplup's as ready as it's trainer.

Volo looks at Dawn and then at the meter and shows a pink glittery heart but not as big as it showed with Ash and Brock much to both her and Piplup's shock while Ash, Gary and Brock laugh sheepishly.

"The shame" Dawn sulks

"No! Friendship has much to do with how long you and your Pokémon have been together. I'm sure it will go up before you know it!" the man assures the female.

"My advice? Don't enter that Contest no matter what you do!" Landis says.

"that's not a nice thing to say, Landis" Volo said.

"Well, if you're so smart... Why don't you test the friendship between you and your Shinx?" Dawn questions.

"Easy Dawn, don't you see he's just a child" Volo tries to calm the female from blowing a gasket.

"I'm too young! I'm still just a student at Trainers' School!" Landis explains.

"Trainers' school? You mean a school for young upcoming Trainers?" Dawn questions the kid.

"You can think when you want to! And just as soon as I graduate, me and Shinx are entering the Sinnoh League!"

"I guess you and I are gonna be rivals then!" Ash then said making Landis look at the Kantonian confusedly "Yeah, you bet! Pikachu and I are going for the Sinnoh League too, along with Volo!" Ash says before pointing at Volo.

"Wait you're going to compete in contests and the Sinnoh League?" Landis asks out of shock

Volo nods "Yeah, I wasn't sure where to go between the two options, but then I ask myself: Why choose? And then here we are" he explains.

"Wow, that's awesome! You must be real good!" he said to Volo looking with admiration.

Volo smiles "that's sweet of you" he said

"Well, you talk pretty wise for being just a little kid, but you're so scared to take a little test" Dawn cockily said.

"Dawn..." the blonde warns.

"No way! If I was gonna measure our friendship, I'll bet you it'd be lots higher than you and your Piplup, for sure!" he justifies this made Dawn growls in anger.

Volo places a hand on the girl's shoulder "Ignore it, why don't you focus on forming a strategy?" he suggests.

Dawn thought for a moment and then nods.

-scene change-

Our Heroes are now outside of the building as it was sunset already.

"Officer Jenny has agreed to judge our contest this year, and I'm certain she'll do a wonderful job!" The President then said

"Great!" Both Dawn and Volo nod in understanding knowing that they will be expecting a familiar face during the contests.

"Good luck, Dawn, Volo! I hope you do really good!" Landis wishes the mentioned trainers' luck.

Dawn and Volo look at them "Wow Thanks a lot" Dawn thanked the boy.

"You'll need all the luck you can get! specially you, Dawn" Landis then said.

Dawn growls irritated before being push away by a sheepishly laughing Volo "Yeah, means a lot, until we meet again" he did his goodbye while Guiding Dawn to the Pokémon Center "the sun's going down, the sun's going down" he whispers to Dawn in attempt to calm the female down while the other three males also laugh sheepishly.

-scene change-

Volo fixes his long blonde hair in a separate room since he's in a separate room from Dawn and the others "I just hope Dawn doesn't let Landis' words get the better of her" he said before notices something odd from outside he sees a lot of Pokémon walking out of the building looking weird "Team Rocket" he mutters before running out of the room only to meet Ash and the others also heading outside.

"Volo you also saw what's going on outside?" Gary asks.

Volo nods "I do, these Pokémon they seem like they've been fallen on under some sort of Hypnosis" he said.

Hey kids!" Volo and the other notices Landis and his father running up to them

"It's Landis and his dad!" Ash states

"Why are you out here?" Dawn questions

"It's Shinx! Shinx just ran off for no reason! We've been looking everywhere we could!" the president explains much to our heroes' shock "Those fake Pokétches started playing the sound of a Psyduck calling some attack move, and then Shinx ran off! Shinx would never just leave. I was hoping perhaps you might've seen Shinx wandering with this Pokémon group!

"How did a Psyduck get in the Pokétches?" Ash questions.

Volo then act like he connected the dots "Of course!" he states making everyone look at the Blonde "Ash, Gary, Dawn, Brock, who else you guys know that would trick anyone into taking other people Pokémon?" he asks.

That's when realization hit them "Team Rocket!" they shouted out of anger and annoyance.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu sounds annoyed.

"Team Rocket?" The father & son duo repeated confusedly.

Volo looks at them "we'll fill you in on the way, but as for now I have a idea, but I'm gonna need all of you to cooperate" he said.

They all agree as Volo begins to tell them the plan.

-scene change-

outside of Jubilife City you can see a chubby like duck Pokémon chanting from a microphone

"A technical triumph!" Jessie cheers.

"Forget clunky robots, this rules!" James claims

"Psyduck's got those Pokémon hypnotized and hapless! I'm telling you, if we keep on broadcasting, we're gonna revolutionize talk radio with this Poké-ploy!" Meowth then says.

Jessie and James were working on the sound engineering.

"Looks like we're just about on full" Jessie says as she sees the Pokémon entering the box.

"My fave!" he responds.

Meowth then looks at Psyduck "Psyduck! We're good to go!" Meowth calls the Pokémon who looks back and runs up to them.

"Here! You earned every bit of this grub!" Meowth tells Psyduck while handing it a basket full of fruit.

"Psy!" Psyduck walks away happily while Team Rocket waves at it.

"Thank you, Bye!" Jessie says.

"Come again!" James adds.

"So now we just wait for Pikachu to pop in" Meowth then said.

"Pika, Pi!" they hear Pikachu's cry

"Wow! Quick!" they said as they went to hiding.

"Where're you guys going?" Ash questions as he and the others run up to the hypnotized Pokémon.

"Stop! Listen to us!" Dawn calls.

Landis notices the Box "Why're they all in that box?" he questions.

"And why are they just standing there?" Landis' father also questions

Volo 'Team Rocket must be hidden behind it, I hope this plan works' he thinks before pulling out his Pokéball "Meloetta, we need you" he calls as Meloetta pops out.

"Loetta!" The Melody Pokémon cries.

"Meloetta, those Pokémon are under Psyduck's Hypnosis, think that your singing can snap them back to reality?" he ask Meloetta Shrug but willing to give it a try "go ahead and try" he says.

Meloetta nods before turning invisible and flies away.

"Wow I'd never seen a Pokémon like that before, not even from school?" Landis says.

"Between you and me; Meloetta is not a Sinnoh, Hoenn, Jotho, or a Kanto Regional Pokémon" Volo whisper to the younger boy.

"Wow" Landis looks at Volo with awe.

Jame then notices our heroes "It doesn't appear that Pikachu's mind has melted like the rest!"

"And why did the Twerps tag along?" Jessie questions.

"Their minds already melted!" Meowth sarcastically answers.

Ash groans in annoyance "C'mon! You get outta there!"

"Pika!" Pikachu cries from Ash's shoulder.

"Your Trainers must be worrying themselves sick!" Dawn states sounding concern

"You've got to go back to them now!" Brock then yelled

"Please!" Gary plead.

"Umbreon!" Umbreon barked

"Hey, look! There's Shinx! I was so worried about you!" Landis calls his Pokémon friend while running up.

"Landis, wait!" Volo tries to stop the boy as our heroes and Landis' father notices a door closing from above.

Everyone gasped "Look out!" Dawn warns before grabbing Landis and jumping away from be box before the door could hit them.

"Dawn/Landis" Ash, Gary, Brock and Landis' father call them.

Dawn looks at Landis "Landis, are you alright?" she asked.

Landis could only nod as his responds since he's too stunned to speak

Volo then goes to Dawn "are you okay?" he asks.

Dawn nods "That was close" she said before glaring at the box as she gets up "All right! Who's doing this?" She demands

"Listen! Is that a Twerp I hear?"

"It shrieks to me loud and clear!"

"On the wind."

"Past the stars."

"In your ear"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace!"

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place!"

"A rose by any other name's just as sweet."

"When everything's worse, our work's complete!"

"Jessie!"

"And James!"

"Meowth, that's a name!"

"Putting the do-gooders in their place."

"Team Rocket!"

"We're in your face!"

"Wobbuffet!"

"Mime, Mime, Mime!"

"Team Rocket!" Ash, and Dawn yelled.

"I should've know!" Gary said.

"I'll bet you three are the ones behind those imitation Pokétches!" Brock guesses making Landis and his father gasps with shock.

"A gold star for you!" Jessie states.

"We put Psyduck on the air, and, wow, it was the best!" James explains.

"They got hypnotized, and we did the rest!" Meowth adds.

"But...that's not nice!" The president stated sounding shocked.

"All right! You let those Pokémon go now!" Dawn demands.

"Hey, that's my Shinx!" Landis yells

"Well, not any more kid! Go home! And do something about those short pants!" the trio stated as their signature Hot air balloon pops out from behind them and rocket engines appears on both sides of the box

"Says the one wearing a miniskirt" Volo sassily responds making Jessie growls in anger.

"What did you say" Jessie questioned.

"Oh no! My Shinx!" Landis states with worry

"Don't you worry!" Dawn said pulling out her Pokéball.

"They're not going anywhere" Ash adds.

"Not on our watch" Volo agrees 'Meloetta, please, be careful in there' he thinks.

-inside the box-

Meloetta reappears from the inside looking down at the Pokémon and begins to sing.

As Meloetta sings the first to snap out of the hypnosis was Shinx as the Flash Pokémon turns and looks at Meloetta and then the rest of the Pokémon follow suit.

Meloetta finishes singing and looks down at the Pokémon who are looking back at it causing the Melody Pokémon to smile.

"Melo, Me, Me! Loetta!" Meloetta explains to the Pokémon who seemed hesitant but nod as if they agree to help Meloetta out.

-meanwhile outside-

Our heroes seems to be struggling with Pikachu and Piplup trapped, Umbreon and Buneary exhausted

Volo pulls out a Pokéball "you want to fly? well four can play that game, Togekiss, steal the show!" He throws the Pokéball.

"Kiss!" Togekiss pops out

"Dawn!" The mentioned looks at the blonde "tell Buneary to get on Togekiss's back and use a max up Ice Beam while Togekiss gets closer to team Rocket".

Dawn nods "you heard him Buneary get on Togekiss's back!" She said.

Buneary hops on the Jubilee Pokémon's back and they both flies towards Team Rocket. Meanwhile Volo notices the door getting outlined by blue light meaning Meloetta released the Pokémon from the Hypnosis. Buneary then jumps high off Togekiss's back and uses Ice Beam freezing team Rocket solid.

"Yes!" Dawn cheered.

"Way to go, you two!" Volo yells at both Togekiss and Buneary.

"Buneary!" Buneary cries proudly as it lands on Togekiss's back.

"Is your plan working, Volo?" Volo hears Landis asking.

Volo head pats the boy "part one is a success" he point at the box "now there's part two"

The box's door curls up as you can see Meloetta and other Pokémon using Psychic on the door as Shinx cry down at our heroes.

Landis eyes lighten up "Shinx!" He stated with relief.

Then pikachu and Piplup were released from their sphere cells.

Our heroes look worried "Togekiss catch them!" Volo commands.

Togekiss flies downward past Pikachu and Piplup as the Mouse and Penguin Pokémon lands on the Jubilee Pokémon's back

"Loetta!" Meloetta instructs the other Pokémon and they all use Psychic to safely land on the ground.

"Meloetta Did it!" Dawn cheers.

Brock nods "yeah! Its singing snaps them out of it" brock agree.

"Listen, go back to your trainers, quickly!" The president tells the Pokémon.

"Loetta!" Meloetta points forward as the Pokémon run out of the box straight to where our heroes believe is to their trainers.

Shinx runs up to Linus "Shinx, Shinx!" Shinx bark happily.

"Oh Shinx! I'm so glad you're okay!" Landis says to Shinx sounding relieved.

Volo smiles before looking back at Team Rocket who break themselves out of Buneary's Ice.

"What kind of crooks are you?" Meowth questions.

"Better than you" Volo responds.

"That's our job!" Jessie yells.

"Give us Pikachu from you to us, from you!" James yells.

"Let's go, Seviper!" Jessie yells as she throws a Pokéball.

"Seviper!" The Poison Type Pokémon pops out.

"Carnivine! You too!" James calls out, but only for Carnivine to chomp on James' head while hugging much to his annoyance "I'll need a hair transplant!" He whines.

"Seviper, use Poison Tail!" Jessie commands Seviper.

"Carnivine! Use Bite!" James also command.

Both Pokémon attempt to attack Dawn and Volo look at each other and nod as they step up along with Piplup, Buneary, Togekiss, and Meloetta.

"That's just about enough!" Dawn states "Piplup, use Peck! Buneary, Dizzy Punch!" She commands her Pokémon.

Piplup uses peck and peck on Seviper's head as the tip of Buneary's ears glows before Buneary hits Carnivine with its ear

"Meloetta change to your Pirouette Forme with Relic Song!" Volo commands.

Meloetta sings as it realeasing a shock wave pushing both Seviper and Carnivine backwards and then Meloetta changes its form.

"They really knows how to work with their Pokémon!" Landis says with awe as his father looks a the duo in amazement.

Seviper and Carnivine fall down grunting in pain.

"Get up!" Jessie tells the Pokémon

"Quick! What will the neighbors think?" James questions.

Both Seviper and Carnivine struggles to get up

"Shinx, use Spark on Pikachu!" Landis' dad tells the Flash Pokémon which made everyone minus Dawn and Volo look at the man.

Brock realizes "Of course! That'll help to make Pikachu's power stronger!

Pikachu hops off Togekiss' back and stands next to Shinx "Here, go for it!" Ash tells the Flash Pokémon.

Both Pikachu and Shinx's tails touch and Shinx's body becomes surrounded in blue electricity as Pikqchu absorbs the electricity making the mouse Pokémon stronger.

"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu gets pumped up.

"I hate insider trading!" Meowth angrily states.

Team Rocket then makes their attack.

"Ash, together, Togekiss use Aura Sphere!" Volo yells.

Togekiss fires a light blue ball of energy from the front of its mouth

"Pikachu follow up with Thunderbolt!" Ash adds

Pikachu releases a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body.

Both attacks hit Team Rocket as tbe box exploded on them as they were sent flying.

"I kinda liked that box!" Jessie admits

"At least it was a roof over our heads!" Meowth agrees.

"And a roof beats a mouth any time, every time!" James states as he tries to fight off Carnivine who affectionately bite James' head.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet agrees.

"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket yells as they vanish with a ding.

"We did it!" Dawn cheered

"Sure did!" Ash agrees.

"That's what I'm talking about"

Gary looks at Volo "your plan really worked out" he said.

Volo nod "I couldn't pull the whole thing off without your help" Meloetta sits on Volo's shoulder still in its Pirouette Forme "and Meloetta, too" he adds.

"Loetta!" Meloetta hugs its trainer.

Then our heroes hears the sound of a honk as they see Officer Jenny arriving to the scene with Nurse Joy sitting in the cart attach to Jenny's motorcycle.

"We heard there was a group of hypnotized Pokémon!" Nurse Joy said with worry.

"We came out as soon as we could. Is there anything we can do to help?" Jenny asks.

Before Volo could even say a word to the nurse and officer Brock beats him to it "As a matter of fact, there is! We could start with a candlelight dinner for four. Then, follow it with a romantic walk under the stars!" Volo, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy looks at Brock confused.

Croagunk out of nowhere hits Brock with Poison Jab making Brock gaged of pain

"Just a thought" he said before falling down and then Croagunk drags him away.

Landis walks up to Dawn "Thanks, Dawn" he thanked the female who turns her attention to the little boy "You saved Shinx, and I really owe you a lot!" He said.

"Huh?" Dawn looks surprised.

"I was totally wrong about you! Man, you can battle! You'll do great!" Landis admits this made Dawn smile a bit "Just don't expect to win the contest" he then says.

Dawn grows irritated but stops and looks at Volo who's chatting with officer Jenny filling her in on the situation "Now that I think about it, you're right" Landis looks surprised at Dawn's responds "you see, before we met, I've seen other coordinators training and let me tell you I'm impressed with their skill, and Volo, he's my top competition, not only that he's a intimidating opponent to battle but also a very talented performer; it's like he was born to do this" she confesses with admiration remembers the time she saw Volo practicing with Togekiss and Meloetta "Seeing him train gives me the spark for me to push myself to make me more determined to compete in this contest no matter the outcome" she finishes.

"Volo's like a rival to you?" Landis asks.

"In a way, yes; he did warn me that he takes a competition serious when we met, so he was nice enough to give me a heads up" she explains before looking determined at the blonde "like he said to me, may the best coordinator wins" she adds.

-the next day-

"Check it out!" Dawn states as both her and Volo show off their brand new Pokétches.

"You finally got one!" Ash said.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu looks happy for both Dawn and Volo

"This time the paint won't smear!" Brock said as Gary nods agreeing.

Dawn nods "Yeah!" she also agrees "I did it! I finally got a real Pokétch!" she cheers posing with the Pokétch.

Volo joins her "you mean we Finally got a real Pokétch" he corrects posing next to Dawn.

"Piplup!/Buneary!/Kiss!/Melo!" the two's Pokémon join their respective trainer in cheering.

They've arrived at the where the contest takes place and sees the coordinators practicing outside of the arena.

"It looks like everyone's gearing up!" He states.

Ash nods agreeing with the Pewter City Gym Leader "Yeah! It's time! Are you ready Dawn?"

"I can't wait Ash! With this Pokétch. I'll be right on time!" Dawn said.

Gary then looks at Volo "What about you, Volo? Are you ready?"

"It may sound unbelievable for you guys, but I'm actually very anxious, and excited all at once" Volo confesses "and Honestly, I'm getting quite hesitant, but while traveling with you guys, I slowly begin to feel less anxious, if I haven't met you guys, I would become a emotional mess" he confesses.

Ash then walks up to Volo "well, you were calm and caring for the other Pokémon, and befriend with a Pokémon that isn't from Sinnoh, just remember in where you came from"

Volo looks taken a back and smiles at Ash "thanks, Ash; it really means a lot coming from you" he responds.

Ash looks at the blonde with a blush and looks down feeling nervous 'Now I understand how Buneary feels when she's around Pikachu' he thought.

Brock and Gary frown of jealousy which Dawn sees this and laughs to herself which the four boys look at the only female of the group confused.

"Don't mind me, j-just laughing at a memory" she lied.

Now that our Heroes helped solve the mystery of the imitation Pokétches, Dawn, Volo, and the genuine article are all set to take the Jubilife Pokémon Contest by storm, so stay tuned for the excitement!
