Third person's POV

  "What?! No way!" Dawn screams as a startled flock of Starly flew out of tree.

It was to be a fateful day for Dawn, and a certain Pokemon named Buneary, as our Heroes continue toward Jubilife City.

"It's a disaster" Volo hears a scream from a nearby tent knowing that tent belongs to Dawn.

"Bad hair day?" Volo asked.

"More like worse hair day!" the female responds from the inside of the tent

"Figured, next time don't freak everyone else out, you almost scared us thinking that you got hurt or something" Volo said.

"I can't promise that I won't freak out like that, but I will be careful with what I say" he hears Dawn saying.

"Okay, just take your time while we get breakfast ready" Volo then said before sitting up and gets out of his tent and unpacks 'Dawn's going to meet Buneary and catches it' he thinks.

"See, you're witnessing a typical morning for this crazy family, but you'll get used to it!" Brock tells the Toxic mouth Pokémon while he was preparing something

"Croa" Croagunk look confused

Back at the tent we find Dawn straightening down her head to normal but then it got all messed up again which Dawn gasped out of shock while Piplup tries to hold back its laughter

"What do I do with this mess? Looks like I slept on my head!" she complains before looking at the laughing Pokémon and then an idea pop in Dawn's mind "Great! That's it!" she cheers.

"Pip?" Piplup looks curious.

-Meanwhile-

Volo's outside training with Togekiss and Meloetta as Gary watches

"Alright, Togekiss Aura Sphere up in the air and then use Sky Attack!" Volo commands as Togekiss shoots out a turquoise color sphere of energy up in the air and then flies to it hitting it with Sky attack splitting the Aura Sphere into multiple forming a circular Formation as now Meloetta in its Pirouette form now floats in the center of it "Now, Meloetta! Use Hyper Voice while spinning!" he tells the Melody Pokémon who spins and uses Hyper voice Hitting every single Aura Sphere. 

Both Togekiss and Meloetta then lands to where Volo is as a aurora falls onto them.

"Wow! That was amazing Volo!" Gary praised the blonde.

"Umbre!" Umbreon agrees.

Volo turns to Gary "thanks" he smiles.

"Toge!" Togekiss also smiles.

Umbreon blushes and looks down which it didn't went unnoticed as Meloetta looks at Umbreon and then at Togekiss before giggling to itself.

"Piplup! Use Bubble Beam!" They all hear Dawn shouting from her tent

Piplup can be heard using Bubble Beam from the tent. Then bubbles floated out from the tent much to everyone minus Volo's confusion.

"Hey, what was that for?! That's weird" Ash questions not understanding what the only girl of the group is doing.

"Pika?" Pikachu is as confused as it's trainer

"Do you think that was to fix her bed head?" Brock guesses as he peels a potato 

"Bonsly" Bonsly, Brock's other Pokémon that he owes also looks at the tent with wonder

"I think so." Gary assumes while crossing his arm

Then the potato Brock was peeling slipped off his hand and lands near Croagunk

"Croag?" Croagunk looks down at the potato confusedly

"Hey, can you grab that for me?" Brock asks the newly caught Pokémon

Croagunk looks down at the Potato then at Brock back and forth "Croag. Croag. Croag. Croag. Croag. Croag?" it looks at Brock unsure

"Please, do me a favor." Brock pleaded.

"Croag" Croagunk picks up the potato "Croag, Croag." Croagunk threw the potato into the air.

The four boys gasps at the sight as Ash walked back without looking until he bumps to Dawn as she comes out from the tent, while Pikachu jumps up and caught the potato. Unknown to it a Buneary was watching from the grass

"Buneary?" the Pokémon looks confused while Pikachu came spinning down "Buneary" Buneary looks at Pikachu with awe.

Ash and Dawn fell to the floor while Pikachu landed.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cheered that it caught the Potato.

"Buneary" Buneary's eyes lights up with awe.

"Nice catch, Pikachu!" Brock praised Pikachu as he takes the potato.

Dawn groans "Ash, will you watch out?!" she questions out of annoyance.

Both her and Ash sits up "Hey, what's with the Bubble Beam before in the tent?" Ash asks back.

"Check it out!" Dawn shows off her hair all straightened down and looking elegant as she gets up "You see? It worked!" she gives it a little spin "You like it? I just had the worst pillow head when I woke up this morning, but Piplup and I sure fixed that!" she explains

"Piplup, Pip." Piplup stands proud.

"Wow, I'm impressed!" Brock compliments the female.

"Wow, what a weird way to use a Bubble Beam!" Ash comments.

Pikachu nods "Pika, Pika."

"And it'll work on boys and girls, so let's put Bubble Beam to good use on your pillow head!"

Ash waves off the Idea "Hey, I'll be wearing a hat anyway." he said

Volo notices and gasps "Uh, Ash" he calls.

Ash looks at Volo "What?"

Volo points at Aipom "Your hat".

Then we see Aipom being playful with Ash's hat as it puts it on

"Hey, gimme my hat!" Ash tells Aipom.

Pikachu chases Aipom "Pika!" Pikachu calls the normal type.

Aipom runs off playfully laughing "Aipom! That's not funny!" Ash yells as he runs down after the Pokémon.

Aipom goes on running off with Pikachu behind it. Pikachu then started using its Quick Attack to zoom from left to right, then left again as it then zoomed towards Aipom and got Ash's hat back but then it covered its face as Pikachu landed and couldn't see. Then we see a motorcycle wheel hitting the brakes.

"Pika!?" Pikachu looks surprised.

Officer Jenny was seen riding her bike as she tried to stop upon seeing Pikachu in the road, but her bike was having a hard time stopping until Buneary jumped in and got Pikachu out of the way just in time. Ash Gasped at the scene before him as the others joins him. Buneary lands down with Pikachu alright.

"Pika" Pikachu thanked the Pokémon

"Buneary" the Pokémon nod

Ash goes up to Pikachu and kneel to its level " Pikachu, you okay?!" he asks.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu assures.

Ash smiles "that's great, thank you" Ash thanked the other Pokémon as he gets his hat back

"Buneary" Buneary nods at the Kantonian happy that it helped.

Dawn walks up to them "Hey it's a Buneary" Dawn states as she pulls out her Pokédex.

"Buneary, The Rabbit Pokemon. When sensing danger, it extends both ears as an alert, and when cold, it curls up and goes to sleep."

"Buneary?" The Pokémon tilts its head

"Wow that was awesome, the way you stopped up Pikachu like that!" Dawn praises Buneary while Ash gets up standing next to her while fixing his hat.

Pikachu smiles at Buneary "Pika, Pika." Pikachu smiles friendly at the Pokémon.

'I know this this is the episode where Dawn makes her first catch' Volo remembers.

"Buneary" Buneary looks down blushing.

Pikachu looks curious "Pika?"

"Buneary!" Buneary covers her face with her woo.

"And look at that! You're so cute!"

"Buneary" Buneary then hoped away but as she wasn't looking, she bumped to a tree as she fell down to a bush. Then continued hopping away.

"Aww, I really wanted to catch it!"

Officer Jenny walks looking at Pikachu "You need to be more careful! It really doesn't matter where you are. You always need to look both left and right before crossing the road!" she explains.

"Sorry, Officer Jenny." he apologizes.

"Pika, Pika." Pikachu also apologizes.

Dawn smiles at the familiar officer "It's so great for you to help us out just like before!" she states.

Officer Jenny looks at Dawn confused "Huh?" she questions.

"Don't you remember? It's me! It's Dawn!" Dawn then states.

Brock comes in with a snicker smile "She's still got a lot to learn" he says.

Dawn looks confused "Huh?" she questions.

"Oh no..." Gary mutters with disappointment.

"Dawn, here's the deal. You see, there are many Officer Jennies!" Brock tells Dawn as he shows a photo "See here?" he questions.

We see a photo of multiple Sinnoh region Officer Jennies

"Wow! Look at all of them" Dawn says with shock.

The officer also sees the photo "This was taken at the last countrywide festival, right?" she questions

 I wish I could've been there!" Brock said sounding lovestruck "But now you're here!" he holds Jennie's hands "And I'm here too! The name's Brock, and my goal, other than to be with you, is to become the greatest Pokemon breeder the world has ever known!"

Officer Jenny: And I'm Jenny from Jubilife City, and my sister is the Officer Jenny from Sandgem Town!

Dawn: You sister?! You must be identical twins!

Brock scoffs "Of course they're not identical! Talk about rude!" he defended "It's obvious the length of their hair and eyelashes is not the same! Ahh. Not to mention that unique fragrance you're wearing-" Brock then gets cut off pained as he got hit in the stomach by Croagunk's Poison Jab "Of course, I could be wrong." He collapsed to the floor and got dragged away by Croagunk as Brock groaned in pain.

Ash, Dawn, Gary, and Volo chuckle sheepishly

Officer Jenny looks at the others "Your friend is strange." she said.

"We know" Gary responds.

Officer Jenny then shows a photo to the heroes "Have you ever seen these people?" she then ask them.

We see a photo of a disguised Team Rocket wearing black suits, and green hoods.

Dawn looks unsure "I don't think so" she says as Volo silently sighs.

'They're at it again' he thought.

"Last night some thieves broke into the factory just up ahead and stole a lot of machine parts. This picture was taken by the factory's security surveillance camera!"

Brock pops out of nowhere "Nope. They look weird to me.

"Pika?!" Pikachu looks surprised.

Dawn also looks surprised "Boy, that was quick!"

Brock nods "Yup!" he agrees.

Volo looks at Brock 'The how he recovers that quickly is still a mystery' he thinks as Brock looks at Volo who smiles at brock which brock blushes and looks away while Ash and Gary frowns at this.

"Well, thanks very much for your help!" Officer Jenny salutes to our heroes.

"Pika!" Pikachu waves at the officer

-scene change-

We then find our heroes eating their meals back at their camp site

"You know, I'd kinda like to catch that Buneary, too!" Ash states.

"But Ash, if we see that Buneary again, I want to catch it!" Dawn objects.

"I know, but I still can't believe how far Buneary jumped to save Pikachu! I've just gotta catch it!" Ash justifies his previous statement.

"Come on Ash, remember I haven't even caught one Pokemon yet!"

"Dawn, relax! Remember you're just getting things started" Brock tries to calm the female down.

"Brock is best for you to no say anything right now" Volo tells him.

 "Agreed" Gary nods making the Pokémon breeder look away embarrassed.

 Dawn then calms herself down "We're going to be in Jubilife City tomorrow. The Pokemon Contest is coming up soon, and I need to catch some more Pokemon!" Dawn said

Volo places a hand on the female's shoulder "And you will, I'm sure of it" he said confidently "you will get that Buneary, Dawn" he encourages her.

"At least Someone, believes in me, despite that we're going to be rivals when it comes to contests" Dawn said.

Unknown to them, Team Rocket is spying from a distance with Jessie looking at their rice balls through the binoculars.

"Does that look good" Jessie said

"Hey, you're preaching to the choir" Meowth responds also looking through his own binoculars.

James looks at his comrades while working on the machine "Well, this choir is clean out of cold cash! Maybe hunger will make us hungrier to catch Pikachu!" he said.

Wobbuffet pops up out of nowhere "Wobbu" the three of them look at each other.

"Feeling like this, I couldn't catch a cold!" Meowth said

Jessie then looks at James "And my inspiration is on hold."

Meowth checks with his spy binoculars "Hmm?" he questions before noticing Croagunk "Hey look! There's that creepy Croagunk!" he states as now all of them including Wobbuffet were watching with binoculars.

"With a face like that, you'd think it would hide." Jessie comment

"Teamed with the twerps, it blends right in" James agrees.

"Wobbuffet." 

We see Croagunk has only eating half its bowl

"Huh? What's wrong? Why don't you want to eat any more, Croagunk?

"Maybe Croagunk's got a little stomachache." Ash assumes.

Brock: No way! Croagunk just likes to eat at its own pace.

Croagunk look in thought "Croag, Croag, Croag." it turns to a bush "Croag. Croag. Croag. Croag. Croag." Croagunk then jumps "Croagunk!"

Croagunk punches into the bush and who came out to avoid it was Buneary.

Gary gasps "Look!" he points out.

"It's Buneary" Volo adds.

"Whoa!" they shout with awe seeing Buneary again

Buneary lands down "Buneary?" she looks at Croagunk

"Croag."

Buneary then hops aways

"Well, I'm going!" Ash yells as he runs off

"Piplup, we're going too!" Dawn also yells and runs off

Brock: What about the dishes?" Brock question

"I'll do them later!" Ash said with Pikachu, Dawn and Piplup following behind.

Dawn follows behind the Kantonian "Yeah, he'll do them later!"

Brock sweat drops "Funny- I don't think later ever comes!" he said

Croagunk turns to Brock

Brock looks back at his Pokémon "Huh?" he questioned

Croagunk then looks back where the duo run off "Croag." 

Brock chuckles as Bonsly tilts its head "Bonsly?"

"Shall we go after them?" Gary questions Volo.

"Yeah, I think we should" Volo agrees "but let's help Brock first" he suggests which the brunette Kantonian agrees.

-with team rocket-

"Hey! That's not a Twerp Pokemon." Jessie started

"That's a Buneary!" Meowth finishes

"Wobbu."

"Mime, Mime"

"Huh?" James looks at Mime Jr in question although he doesn't mind his Pokémon out of his Pokeball.

-with Ash and Dawn-

Buneary still hopping away as Ash, Pikachu, his current Pokemon, Dawn, and Piplup, pursued.

"Now whoever catches Buneary gets to keep it, and the other person can't be mad, okay?" Ash suggests.

"Okay. It's a deal!" Dawn agrees "Quick Piplup! Use Bubble Beam!" she commands her Pokémon

Piplup uses Bubble Beam as Buneary stopped with shock as the attack hits the ground in front of it

Ash gasps with surprise "Whoa! Fast!" he stated.

"You think that's fast? Just watch me do this! This's a race I can't afford to lose! Since I've had more than my share go goofs, I figure it's time for me to win one! No one's stopping me, and that includes you!" Dawn then said.

"If that's how you feel, then go for it!" he then lets Dawn battle Buneary.

"Then you'll have the honor of watching my first catch!" the female claims before looking at Piplup "Now Piplup! It's time to use Peck!"

Pilup's beak glows with white light at charges at Buneary who dodges.

"That's some dodge" Ash comments.

"Okay! Piplup! Now use Bubble Beam!" Dawn then said. 

Piplup fires Bubble Beam but a light blue ball of energy forms in front of Buneary's mouth. Light blue beams of energy are released out of its mouth at the attack as they exploded to ice dust particles.

Dawn looks shocked as Brock, Gary and Volo catches up with her and Ash.

"But how?" She questions

"It froze the Bubble Beam!"  Ash said

"Then, obviously, Buneary knows how to use Ice Beam!" Brock said.

Volo notices Buneary charging at Piplup "Careful, Dawn! Buneary's going to use Dizzy Punch!"  Volo warns as Buneary charges towards Piplup.

"Quick, Piplup dodge it!" Dawn yelled.

But Buneary made impact on Piplup with Dizzy Punch. Piplup falls to the floor

Gary groans at the sight "too late" he said.

"Oh, my poor little Piplup!" Dawn says with worry.

Buneary lands down and twirls then looks at Pikachu and poses making the Electric type Pokémon look confused.

"What was that?" Ash question not understanding what's going on.

Piplup is seen with swirls in its eyes acting dizzy.

"Oh, no, Piplup got confused by Buneary's Dizzy Punch" Volo informs.

Piplup moves all dazed and dizzy "So now I just stand here and do nothing?!" Dawn questions

"First, just chill out!" Ash starts

"Put Piplup in its Pokeball, and it'll be fine!"

"That sounds good. Okay!" Dawn takes out her Pokeball

"Bun!" Buneary jumps high into the air, front flips as it falls and kicks Piplup as it fell to Dawn and the two fell down.

Dawn looks down and sees Piplup fainted on her lap "Piplup no!" she calls her Pokémon worry

"Buneary just used Bounce!" Gary informs.

"That was some impressive power!" Brock states.

Buneary lands down and twirls then looks at Pikachu and poses making the Electric type Pokémon look confused once again.

Dawn calls Piplup back to its Pokeball "Everything I try to do just gets messed up" she says to herself Dawn the gets up and waves at Ash "Okay, Ash, go and give it your best shot" she then tells Ash.

Ash nods "Alright, ready Pikachu!" He said.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu jumps off Ash's shoulder and faces Buneary.

"Buneary~" Buneary wiggles much to our heroes minus Volo's confusion "Buneary!" Buneary covers her face with her wool.

"That's weird" Ash comments as he sees Buneary's behavior.

"What's going on?" Dawn looks confused.

"Buneary is acting completely different than when battling Piplup before" Brock states the obvious "I wonder..." he thinks out loud.

Ash then looks at the eldest of the five trainers "Brock, wonder what?" Ash questions.

"Buneary" Buneary takes a peak look at Pikachu "Buneary!" Buneary covers her face with her wool making Pikachu sweat drop at her.

Volo chuckle making everyone look at the blonde "it's obvious, guys; Buneary has a crush on Pikachu" he said as Aipom jumps on Ash's head.

"Oh man, how am I going to battle with this going on?" Ash then questions with disappointment in his tone of voice.

Buneary moves closer to the Mouse Pokémon still covering her face with the wool which Togekiss looks unsure at the sight.

"That's the real thing alright" Brock nods confirming his suspicion.

"Maybe Buneary has a thing for Electric Types" Dawn assumes.

Then a fiery aura surrounds Brock "You can't rationalize love!" He passionately states

Dawn looks at Brock shock "you think this is love?" She questions out of disbelief.

Gary sweat drops "let's not get too ahead of ourselves" he said.

"Umbre" Umbreon agrees

Ash pulls out a Pokéball as Volo and Togekiss move away from the group "love or not, I'm catching that Buneary"

But then Buneary fires Ice Beam and froze up our heroes except, Starly, Volo, and Togekiss as they flew up to avoid it. Ash, Dawn, Brock, and the rest are all frozen solid.

"Shit" Volo curses as he and Togekiss landed.

"Pika" Pikachu looks shocked.

"Buneary!" Buneary joyously spins around with Pikachu and dances away with it.

"Hey, Buneary wait up!" Volo calls the Rabbit Pokémon before running after them with Togekiss following behind, unknown to them Team Rocket were spying by.

"Talk about an interesting development" Meowth comment.

"They're on step away from picking out the furniture!" Jessie responds

Meowth then looks at Jessie "Since Pikachu's freaked because Buneary's going gaga, we can grab that goofy yellow goofball while its guard is down!" He explains as Jessie looks at the talking Pokémon.

Jessie and Meowth smile mischievously "Gloriously groovy!"

James joins them "It's perfect! Those Twerp emotions will be so frail, they won't know what hit them!" He states.

"But we will, won't we?" Jessie questions

"Because we'll do the hitting!" Meowth responds then all three look back at the direction Volo, Buneary and Pikachu run off.

"Wobbuffet" Wobbuffet cried in agreement.

-With Volo-

We find Buneary still spinning around with Pikachu as it shouted worried till they stopped as Volo and Togekiss catches up with them.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu looked annoyed.

This make Buneary taken aback "Buneary" Buneary looked embarrassed.

Pikachu looks around "Pika, Pi. Pikachu." Pikachu tries to remember where they came from.

Volo arrives "Pikachu" he calls as he and Togekiss arrives.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu goes up and jumps on Volo and snuggles with him.

Whatever Pikachu said must've upsetted Buneary as the Rabbit Pokémon tears up and moaned

Volo looks at Buneary and gasped "Oh Buneary" he says before going to the crying Rabbit Pokémon.

Buneary cries as Pikachu jumps out of the blonde's arms and tries to comfort the Normal Type.

"Meloetta!" Volo calls as the Melody Pokémon appears out of thin air from its invisibility "Meloetta, can you sing for Buneary?" He asks.

Meloetta nods and floats a head to the two Pokémon and begins to sing

Buneary stops crying while both Pikachu and Buneary looks up at the Melody Pokémon with awe.

Volo goes to Buneary "Buneary" the mentioned Pokémon looks up at the blonde "to prevent misunderstandings, sure Pikachu's annoyed but with you"

"Buneary?" Buneary tilts its head with a expression that says "it's not?"

Volo shakes his head "not at all, Pikachu's only annoyed from the fact that it got separated from its trainer" he explains before looking at Pikachu "do you have anything to say, Pikachu"

"Pika, Pika" Pikachu bows apologizing to Buneary for making it cry.

"Bun, Bun, Buneary" Buneary also bows apologizing to the Electric Type.

Volo smiles "all wells ends well" he said.

"Togekiss/Melo!" Both of Volo's Pokémon agreed with their trainer.

We then see Starly flying over and spots them which Volo notices it.

"Starly, over here" he calls the Flying Type Pokémon over offering a hand in which the Bird Pokémon lands on Volo's palm "Listen Starly, I have a feeling that Croagunk will free Ash and the others from the Ice, I'm gonna need you to go to find him and guide them here while we wait for you, can you do that?" Volo asks.

"Starly!" Starly agrees before flying off.

"Thanks, Starly!" The blonde thanked the bird Pokémon as he watches it fly off.

Buneary hears a odd sound making the Rabbit Pokémon look back "Bun? Bun? Buneary."

A long trapped appeared out of no where and caught Buneary, startling it "Buneary!" It alarmed.

"Oh no, Buneary!"

Buneary gets dragged into a large robot with the Team Rocket logo.

Volo then hears Team Rocket laughing evilly "A Buneary with a view!"

Volo gets up "Are you shitting me?" He questions

"Listen! Is that a voice I hear?!"

"It speaks to me loud and clear!"

"On the wind."

"Past the stars."

"In your ear."

Meowth suddenly gets pushes aside by Jessie "Hey!"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace!"

Jessie then gets pushed aside by James

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place!"

James then Gets pushed aside by Jessie

"A rose by any other name's just as sweet."

Jessie gets pushed aside by James

"When everything's worse, our work is complete!"

James gets pushed aside by Jessie again

"Jessie!"

Jessie once again gets pushed aside by James

"And James!"

Both get pushed aside by Meowth

"Meowth, now that's a name!"

"Putting the do-gooders in their place!"

"We're Team Rocket!"

"In your face!"

"Wobbu!"

Volo then sees Pikachu about to use Thunderbolt "Pikachu wait!" Volo stops making the Mouse Pokémon look at the Blonde confused "don't use Thunderbolt, at least not yet"

"Pika?" Pikachu looks confused.

"Is just a guess, but I have a feeling that this machine they have can absorb the electricity making Buneary take the damage" he tells the mouse Pokémon.

"H-How you figured out?" James questions out of shock.

Volo shrug "I only think like a villain, a smart one to be precise" he responds.

"Pika!" Pikachu growls at Team Rocket.

"Don't worry, Pikachu; We will save Buneary, but for now let's buy some time for Ash and the others to arrive, Meloetta, Togekiss get ready!"

"Loetta!" Meloetta stands ready to battle.

"Kiss!" Togekiss flies upwards.

Volo looks at Pikachu "Pikachu, Meloetta and Togekiss will keep Team Rocket occupied, while you free Buneary with Iron Tail, can you do that?"

Pikachu nods "Pika!"

"Then go for it!" Volo encourages the Mouse Pokémon who runs off "Meloetta, Togekiss, you know what to do!"

"Kiss!/Ta!" His Pokémon nod.

"Togekiss, use Air Slash! Meloetta  Relic Song!"

Togekiss lifts up one wing and starts waving it around. Light blue energy streaks then appear and swirl around, forming into a ball above the tip of Togekiss's wing. It then tosses the ball at Team Rocket pushing them back.

Meanwhile Meloetta sings a beautiful song, releasing a wave of energy that sends Team Rocket to bump into a near Tree. Meloetta can change its Forme from Aria to Pirouette Forme.

Then to Volo surprise Officer Jenny arrives on her motorcycle.

"Officer Jenny, you're just in time!" Volo states.

"Volo!" He then hears Ash and the other calling.

"You're all, here; perfect I buy enough time for you guys to arrived"

"Those are the people!" Jenny claims as she presents the photo of the disguised Team Rocket and the villains "The factory thieves!"

James and Meowth groans with concerned and worry.

"Now who is that photogenic female?!" Jessie questions as if she doesn't recognize herself in disguise.

"I warned you not to flash the peace sign in front of the camera!" James scolds the female.

"Dummy!" Meowth agrees.

"Excuse me, but I'm an actress, and actresses live for the camera! So, tough beans." She defends herself

James, Meowth groan in hopelessness

"Why are they dressed like that?" She questions.

"They're dressed like that because that's their true-selves" Gary answers.

"They're called Team Rocket, and those other creeps are our enemies, and they're stealing those Pokemon!" Brock explains in which Jenny nods at them in understanding.

"Now Pikachu!" Volo yells

Pikachu jumps to the trapped Buneary and then uses Iron Tail and broke Buneary free.

Pikachu looks at Buneary happily "Pikachu."

Buneary looks happy to see Pikachu "Buneary!"

"So much for Twerp-proof." James comments.

"Meowth, you've got to protect our investment!" Jessie demands.

"Let's see them Iron Tail this!" Meowth said as he pushes a button.

The robot machine then sprang our rocket engines. All heroes gasps as the rockets activates.

Buneary looks worried "Buneary?!"

Pikachu also worried "Pika?!"

Our heroes and Officer Jenny gasps with shock as the rockets activates.

"They're taking off!" Gary stated.

Volo scoff "as if I let them, Meloetta Stop them with Psychic!"

The machine gets outlined by a blue light as Meloetta's eyes glow the same light.

Volo looks at Ash and Dawn "Ash, get Pikachu, and Dawn do the same with Buneary!" The two trainers nod before running up to Pikachu and Buneary.

Pikachu's tail glows in silver light and swings it breaking Buneary out of the glass Sphere much to Team Rocket panic.

"That Iron Tail always amazes me" Ash states "Now Thunderbolt! Let's go!"

"And Buneary, you help out Pikachu with Ice Beam!" Dawn tells Buneary

Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, while Buneary fires Ice beam on the rocket engines and Meloetta then undoes the Psychic.

"That shock." Meowth comment.

"The ice." James says

"That's not nice!" Jessie finishes

The engine on their left got frozen up, while the one to their right exploded

"We hate being grounded!" The Trio stated.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu looks at Buneary who seems a bit hesitant

Both Pikacgu and Buneary hold hands and leaped off while shouting. Ash opens his arms out and catches them but falls while Buneary got sent flying and screaming.

"Look out!" Ash warns.

"Dawn!" Volo calls.

Buneary almost fell till Dawn catches it in her arms "I got you" she said.

"Dawn, Buneary heads up!" Volo warns the two.

The machine crashed beside them as Dawn gasps and looks before she turns to Buneary and laughs happily

The smoke clears to reveal Team Rocket looking defeated.

"I hate machines" Jesse complains.

"Spend a fortune on junk and what do we get?" James questions

"Guess it's a rubble rouser now" Meowth complains.

Then Officer Jenny walks up to confront them as Team Rocket gasps seeing the officer.

"Alright! You all are under arrest!" Jenny said.

"We'll have to take a rain check!" Team Rocket shouted as they run away.

"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet runs following Team Rocket.

"Mime, Mime!" Mime Jr follows

Officer Jenny pursues them in her motorcycle "Stop thieves!" She yells at them.

"You sounds just like the Twerps!" Team Rocket yells back.

They run away with Jenny in hot pursuit.

"There goes a dedicated babe!" Brock said as he look at the direction where Jenny and Team Rocket run off with a salute.

"Man, she's a tough woman, isn't she." Gary questions.

"No doubt." Volo shrugs knowing that Brock is not wrong

Buneary nods "Buneary" Buneary agrees before it jumps off of Dawn's arms "Bun!" Buneary lands down "Bun, Bun!" The Rabbit Pokémon stands ready to battle.

Gary then laughs "I guess Buneary's all ready for battle" he said

Volo nods "Sure looks like it" he also laughs

"If you don't mind Ash. I'd like to catch Buneary by myself. Okay?" Dawn then tells Ash

Ash nods at the female "Sure! You go for it, Dawn!" He agrees.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu also agrees.

Okay Buneary. Let's go! Piplup, I choose you!" Dawn shouts as she tosses her Pokeball.

Piplup appears popping out of its Pokéball.

"Piplup!" Piplup lets out a battle cry.

'Damn forgot she said that phrase in this episode' Volo thinks.

"Okay Piplup. This's our big chance!" Dawn tells her Pokémon.

"Pip!" Piplup stands ready.

"Now, Piplup! Use Bubble Beam!"

Piplup fired Bubble Beam but Buneary jumped to avoid it.

"Heads up Dawn! Look behind you!" Ash warns.

"Pika!" Pikachu lets out a warning cry aswell.

"Quick Piplup, Jump!" Dawn commands as Piplup jumps before Buneary jumps after it "You're doing great, Piplup!" She tells her Pokémon.

Volo smiles at this 'to see how Dawn grows as a trainer makes me feel even more prouder than I was when I was younger in my past life' he thought.

"Hey, this' getting good!" Ash said.

Gary nods "Yeah, no kidding, they're doing awesome!" He agrees.

"Dawn and Piplup are really getting into the swing of things!" Brock also states.

"Piplup, use Bubble Beam!" Dawn commands.

Piplup fires another Bubble Beam, but then Buneary fires its Ice Beam and both attacks made impact on each other.

"Whoa!" Gary looks amazed.

"Even match!" Ash stated out of shock.

Buneary leaps through the smoke with Dizzy Punch, as Piplup jumps back startled.

"Look out! That Dizzy Punch could confuse Piplup all over again!" Brock warns.

"You better think of something quick, Dawn!" Volo adds.

"I'm on it! Piplup dodge it first and then use Peck!" Dawn tells Piplup.

Piplup repeatedly dodges Buneary's Dizzy Punch and then it uses Peck and made impact on Buneary as it fell back.

"Pip!" Piplup signals Dawn to capture it.

"You heard it, Dawn! Do it!" Volo said.

Dawn nods "Alright Pokeball, let's go!" She yells before tossing the Pokéball.

The Pokéball hits Buneary and it went in; The Pokeball shakes while the heroes wait with silence. The Pokeball still shook continuously

"Come on now. You can't let me down!" She prays.

The Pokéball key shaking until capture was a success.

Volo smiles "she did it" he states.

Dawn gasps "We did it!" She cheers before running and picking up the Pokéball "Alright! This Buenary is all mine!" Dawn stated cheerfully as she poses with the Pokéball.

Piplup joins Dawn on the cheering "Piplup!"

"It's awesome! I caught one! We've got us a brand new friend, Piplup!"

"Piplup Pip!" Piplup looks pleased

"Nice going there, Dawn!" Volo cheered "that was so cool!" He adds.

"Well, Dawn, you finally did it!" Ash said while he smiles proudly at her.

"That's great!" Brock agrees

Pikachu looks happy for Dawn "Pikachu!"

"Hey, thanks you guys! Let's go, Buneary!" Dawn tosses her Pokeball as Buneary pops out)

"Buneary!" Buneary cries excitedly.

Dawn laughed and catches it her arms

Piplup stands proud "Piplup, Piplup"

Dawn giggles and nuzzles Buneary "I'm so glad you're going to be with us!"

Buneary happily returns the gesture "Buneary!"

She and Buneary laughed happy while Ash, Brock, Gary and Volo look at each other with a smile.

"Now I'll really do something in my first contest! So bring it on!" Dawn states as Buneary and Piplup cheer; Dawn then looks at Volo "I'm sorry Volo, but I'm not planning on losing" she apologizes to Volo.

Volo shakes his head "not at all, I said it once and I'll say it again, may the best coordinator" he the  day.

What started out a bit messy has ended up a red-letter day for our newest Hero, as Dawn and Volo faces their Pokemon Contest premiere with Togekiss, Meloetta, Piplup and Buneary!
