Third Person's POV

On their way to Floaroma Town for Dawn and Volo's next Contest, they stopped on a grassy land for a break. But on the way, Dawn had spotted a small Pokémon, looking to be a white squirrel with faint blueish tint and a light blue stripe starting from its forehead and goes all the way down to the tip of the tail.

It was doing something before it noticed Dawn and tilt its head. "You're so cute!!" She squealed. Meanwhile, Brock was watching her from a far, holding a cup as Ash, Gary and Volo came over, with Pikachu on Ash's shoulder.

"Hey Brock, what's up?" Ash asked.

"Dawn's been standing there and staring at that Pokémon for quite a while now. I think she wants to catch it." Brock explained as Volo noticed that Pokémon.

"You mean that Pachirisu, over there?" Volo asked.

"Pachirisu?" Ash repeated, confused as he pulled out his Pokédex to examine it.

"Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokémon. It gathers static electricity and hides fur balls along with its favorite fruit under the eaves of houses."

Pachirisu had started to chase its tail around before catching it and licked it cleaned to which Dawn couldn't hold her love of the cute Pokémon any longer.

"Ah~! I can't stand it! I want you! Now, Piplup! Go!" Dawn calls as she sent out the Penguin Pokémon.

"Wait what?! Dawn! That Pokémon is an Electric Type!!" Volo warned.

"I got this, Volo! Now Piplup, use Peck!" Dawn calls and then Piplup charged at Pachirisu with its Peck attack.

Just then Pachirisu had made a move by blowing a kiss and a pink heart had hit the Penguin Pokémon and got Piplup dizzy, almost losing its balance. Dawn had shrieked from that as Piplup moved around, getting dizzy.

"Oh no! Piplup got hit by Sweet Kiss!" Volo states.

"Piplup's totally confused" Brock explains 

"That Pachirisu is something!" Ash exclaims, amazed by that.

"You got that right" Gary agrees.

"Piplup, return!" Dawn calls back Piplup into his Pokeball. "Buneary, I choose you!" She calls as she sent out the Rabbit Pokémon.

"Buneary, Dizzy Punch!" Dawn calls and Buneary had punched Pachirisu with her ears. 

"Nice one, Dawn!" Gary cheered. 

Pachirisu had fallen to the ground before it got back up and hit Buneary with its Spark attack.

"Pachirisu used Spark!" Brock exclaims as Buneary hits the ground. 

"You okay?!" Dawn gasped as Buneary had struggled to get up. "Buneary, Ice Beam!" Dawn calls for another attack and Buneary had used Ice Beam at Pachirisu, but it managed to dodge all of them.

"We missed!?" Dawn gasped, shocked. 

But then Pachirisu had started to charge up electricity and let out a huge Discharge. "WAAAAAHHHHH~!!!!!!!!" Everyone screamed and all of them had passed out, paralyzed, except for Pikachu who's the only one fine as it shook it off.

"So that's what being electroshocked feels like" Volo mutters

"T-That furball rocks!" Ash exclaims. "Yeah, but I think that 'furball' is getting tired." Brock stated, shakingly point his finger at Pachirisu who was panting heavily.

"D-Dawn! That's your cue to get it!" Volo exclaims. 

"Right! Piplup, come on back out!" Dawn shouts as Piplup came out once again.

"Yeah! Piplup's confusion is all gone!" Ash exclaims.

"Now, Bubble Beam, Go!" Dawn shouts and Piplup had sprayed lots of Bubbles from his beak at Pachirisu, hitting it. "And now, it's time to go Pokéball!" Dawn exclaims as she threw the empty Pokeball at Pachirisu.

It had sucked the wild Pachirisu inside and it shook three times for a moment before it stops, meaning Dawn caught another teammate.

"Alright! I just got a Pachirisu!" Dawn exclaims to which Piplup and Buneary cheered with her. 

Ash and the others came over and congratulating her as she was excited about her next contest with the Pokémon that she just now caught.

-meanwhile-

In the middle of a forest, Jessie was skipping to the front, happily as she was excited about something.

James and Meowth were walking behind her, a bit disturbed as James whispered to Meowth "Perhaps another one of Jessie's delusions." He suggests.

"Nah, she's sick. It's called, 'Contest Queen-itis'." Meowth replied jokingly. 

"I HEARD THAT AND NOW HEAR THIS!" Jessie shouts at them, startling them. "It's simple! There's a Floaroma Contest! This time I will become its Queen! My loyal subjects will bow down!" Jessie said, dreamily.

"Ya know, I think we're both right." Meowth said as he sweat drops. 

"But which Pokémon will you use?" James asked.

Jessie had smirked. "I will catch myself a Pokémon with rarefied air of aristocracy!" She declares.

-with our heroes-

Later that night, when everyone was fast asleep, Dawn was smiling as she dreams of winning the contest with Pachirisu.

'With your nonstop cuteness and my skill and beauty, the Floaroma Contest, is ours for sure!' Dawn said in her dream as Pachirisu was giggling. 

"That tickles." She sleeptalks in her sleep before she wakes up and noticed it was all a dream. She looked at Pachirisu who was peacefully sleeping and had a small smile on her face. "Aw~ such a cute thing!" She said, softly.

But without her noticing, Volo was wide awake as he was looking up at the stars, having a small smile on his face as Meloetta continued to sleep next to him, shivering at the moment before Volo put the small blanket over it to keep it warm and Meloetta smiles in its sleep.

-scene change-

The next morning, Volo and Dawn were in the tent as Kira brushes Dawn's hair, smiling while Meloetta watches him before he was done. "Done!" He exclaims as Dawn checked her hair with her hand mirror and was amazed. 

"Perfection!" She exclaims before looking back at the blonde male "I didn't know you're good with fixing bed hair" she said to the male sounding shocked.

"I have a sister who often asks me to help her fix her hair whenever she comes home to visit from her travels" Volo explains then he leaves the female alone in her tent so that she can change her clothes before going out of the tent to find the other three boys at the table.

"Yes! Time for another badge!" Ash shouts. "What do you say, Pikachu?" He asks looking at his longtime buddy. 

"Pika!" Pikachu agrees with its trainer.

"That's great, getting a badge after hours of hard training! But this time, it's my turn to win in the Contest Ribbon! My Pachirisu and I are going to turn the Contest World on its ear!" Dawn shouts which startled the others.

"Volo, let's go practice together!" Dawn said, smiling. 

"Sure, that would help both Petilil and Mawile to get ready for when they're going to compete in the contests! and for them not to get nervous" Volo said, smiling while the mentioned Pokémon who finished eating the food cry happily.

And with that the two of them had ran off to where they can practice and stops at an open space, having all four of Volo's Pokémon to follow along.

"Alright then! Let the training begin!" Dawn exclaims. "Go, Pachirisu!" She calls out her Pokémon. as it appeared. It had looked around, confused before it looked at Dawn then it ran off fast and away.

Dawn shrieks at that as Kira covered her mouth, in surprise. "Wait, Pachirisu come back here!" Dawn shouts and Pachirisu ran over but stopped in midway. Dawn came over and bends down to its level smiling. "You're fast, Pachirisu!" She exclaims, petting its head. 

Pachirisu's cheeks sparks up and Volo noticed that. "Dawn, look out!!" He shouts. But it was too late as Dawn let out a scream as she was shocked by Pachirisu's Discharge.

Volo looks away while his Pokémon cover their eyes or turning away in Petilil's case.

Pachirisu stops then ran around, filled with energy! "And unpredictable as well!" Dawn whined. "D-Dawn, your hair..." Volo said, smiling nervously and Dawn noticed and got freaked out then sighed. "Man, I spent all hours doing my hair and now this..." Dawn said as she got out her hand mirror and hairbrush and started brushing her hair.

But then she noticed Pachirisu staring at her then she got up. "Alright you rascal...return!" Dawn said as she tried to make it go back into its Pokeball only for Pachirisu to dodge the red beam. Dawn became irritated and tried to return Pachirisu lots of time, but no matter how hard she tried, Pachirisu won't go back it and then started licking its tail as Dawn screamed out of frustration.

"I had just about enough! Piplup, Buneary, Go!" Dawn calls out to her Pokémon. "Go get Pachirisu!" She calls and Piplup and Buneary began to chase Pachirisu who was laughing and taunting at their attempts.

The chase was still continuing, but Pachirisu was too fast for them. "Well, Pachirisu are known to be energetic, like a uncontrollable human child having a sugar rush for consuming too much sugar" Volo points out sheepishly.

Piplup was getting exhausted from running but tripped and got knocked out. Buneary was also exhausted also and ended up passing out. Pachirisu however had stopped to see them pass out then began to play Buneary's ear, laughing.

"I...have had it!" Dawn yelled as Ash, Gary and Brock run over to see the situation. 

"Yeah, have what?" Ash asks.

"Pachirisu's out of control and keep running all over the place!" Dawn explained 

Brock folded his arms at that. "Some people would call that 'really healthy'." He states.

Gary nods "yeah, you can say that, but I think Pachirisu really needs to chill out" he then said.

Volo looks at Gary "you can say that again" he responds

"Dawn, we'll help ya." Ash offered, smiling. 

"Thank you!" Dawn thanked them. 

"Pikachu, grab that Pachirisu!" Ash calls.

Pikachu quickly runs after Pachirisu as fast as he can. But when he were about to catch it, Pachirisu only moved out of the way.

"Oh man, that Pachirisu can't be stopped!" Gary complains.

"Then let's see if it could escape this! Turtwig, Aipom, Staravia, get Pachirisu!" Ash shouts.

"Umbreon, help them out!" Gary also shouts.

"Mawile, Togekiss, Meloetta, you guys help too" Volo adds.

Ash, Volo and Gary's Pokémon were sent out and all of them had chased after Pachirisu who continued to run, having fun from all this. Suddenly Pachirisu turned and ran pass them, making them all dizzy.

Pachirisu had started laughing till she saw Piplup and Buneary had finally recover, and the other Pokémon glaring at her, getting ready to catch her and close the chase for good! All the Pokémon had lung towards Pachirisu but ended having Pachirisu to move out of the way and the Pokémon ended up hitting each other's heads.

Pachirisu had ran around, full of energy as the five trainers sweat drops. 

"Speedy." Ash comments. 

"And nonstop..." Brock added.

"Say something, we don't know" Volo tells the two of them.

Later, All of the Pokémon begin to chase Pachirisu again, trying to catch it this time! But it finally was cornered as Pachirisu looked over to see the other Pokémon panting deeply out of exhaustion.

"Chi Pa~!" Pachirisu said, smiling innocently as sparks comes out of its cheek. 

Ash and the others gasped at that "Look out!" Ash warns. 

But it was too late as Pachirisu let out a Discharge and the Pokémon had let out a scream of pain and all of them, except Pikachu had passed out from that attack.

Pachirisu had started laughing and dancing around till it had passed out from using Discharge. 

"I hope they're all right!" Dawn said out of worry as she and the others run over to the Pokémon.

"It didn't bother Pikachu being a Electric Type." Ash states as Volo looks at them, concern then looked at Pachirisu 

"Look at Pachirisu!" Dawn exclaims. 

"Probably used up its power and collapsed." Brock suggests.

Dawn had sighed and ran over to Pachirisu and began to shake the EleSquirrel Pokémon. "Wake up! You're just fine!" She said.

Volo's eyes widen "Dawn wait don't wake it up like that, or you'll be-" he tries to warn the only female trainer of the group, but Pachirisu unconsciously let out a Discharge attack and Dawn screamed in pain "-Shocked..." he sighed.

Ash, Gary, Volo, and Brock watched a bit weirded out as Pikachu watches, surprised before Ash, Pikachu, Gary and Brock tried not to laugh to see Dawn's hair was messed up again. 

Volo glared at them for laughing. "Now you boys stop that and turn around!" He scolds them while his Pokémon recovered shaking their heads in disapproval, the three boy and Pikachu flinched at Volo's glare and did as tell with a embarrassed blush.

-scene change-

At the tent, Volo was brushing Dawn's hair back to the way it was before it began to poof again! That made Volo and Dawn shriek before Dawn sighed. 

"How can something so cute can causing me so many problems?" She asks. Dawn then looks down sadly. "The truth is...maybe Pachirisu doesn't like me..." she said

Volo looks surprised when he hears this. "Now Dawn, don't say that. I'm sure Pachirisu didn't meant to do that..." he said, frowning "Besides you just caught, Pachirisu sometimes Pokémon would need time to adjust themselves into a new space" he explains.

With the boys, Brock was cooking something before looking at the tent. "Dawn and Volo's been in there for a long time." He said.

"I think Pachirisu's freaking her out." Ash suggests. 

But that's when they noticed Dawn and Volo coming out. "Hey Dawn, you alright?!" Ash calls out.

Volo looked over at them, shaking his head as if telling them that Dawn is in a gloomy mood today and can't be bothered right now before following Dawn and that made the other boys frown and so did Pikachu.

Dawn and Volo were in the opened field as Dawn sent out Pachirisu with a sadden look. It looked up at her, innocently as Dawn bends down to look at it. "You know, you're really fast and not only that, but you love run and run." She said as Pachirisu looked up to her, innocently, not sure what she was on about.

'Poor Dawn...' he thought.

"It's okay." Dawn said as she stood up as Pachirisu looked at her, confused. "You're free now. Which means you can run anywhere, you want now. Kay?" Dawn asked, but Pachirisu had jumped onto her shoulder and looked at her, with a big smile, having fun but Dawn put it down. "Now, now...it's over." She said.

"Goodbye...Pachirisu..." Dawn sobbed as she ran back to the campsite. Pachirisu looked confused then looked at Volo who looked back at it and then made a small smile and bends down to its level. 

"Don't worry, Pachirisu... she'll come back to reclaim you... until then... you keep away from other Trainers... got it?" He asked and Pachirisu can let out a cry meaning 'okay' before it ran off.

Volo looks down feeling heartbroken "I know I should've done something... but I didn't... I've never in my life felt so... helpless" he sobs little does he know his Pokémon runs towards their trainer "huh?" Volo questions and looks up and sees Togekiss wiping off his tears "Togekiss..." he then notices Petilil sitting on his lap "Petilil..." he looks at Meloetta on his right "Meloetta" he then looks at his left "Mawile" all their Pokémon smile and hug their trainer giving him comfort.

Volo seems surprised about this and smiles and hugs them all back, "thanks, guys, I needed that" he thanked the Pokémon before standing up and walks back to the campsite to go after Dawn.

-scene change-

Ash, Gary and Brock were already finished with their lunch as Brock looked over at Dawn and Volo. "Hey, Dawn, Volo! Strap on the old feedback!" He called but then sweat drops to see a sadden Dawn with Volo trying to comfort her

"We'll eat later, Brock!" Volo calls. 

Brock had came over to Ash and Gary as the three of them know what had happened. 

"I guess Dawn is having a hard time." Ash said.

"Pika." Pikachu agreed. 

So the boys came over to cheer Dawn up.

"You'll feel better if you eat something." Brock assured. But Dawn didn't say anything. 

"Is there something wrong?" Gary asks. 

Dawn turns the blonde next to her "...Volo...can you tell them?" Dawn asks. 

Volo sighed "Dawn let Pachirisu go" He explained.

That startled Ash, Gary and Brock by surprise. "But why? Why would you wanted Pachirisu so much?!" Brock asked. 

"The idea of I could handle that Pokémon...please." Dawn said smiling nervously.

"What are you talking about?! Are you pulling my leg?" Ash asked.

"Well, look at the trouble I caused everybody..." Dawn sighed. "Hey, any Pokémon can be tricky to deal with at the beginning. I'm telling ya!" Ash assures. 

"Pika." Pikachu agrees.

"Yeah, I think it's a little too early to be giving up" Brock said smiling.

"Well, it's too late. I already let it go. I'm sure Pachirisu is running wild and has forgotten all about me." Dawn sighs.

"But Dawn, Pachirisu was only playing around before training... it just wanted to have some fun..." Volo explains, smiling.

"Yeah...maybe..." Dawn sighed.

-meanwhile-

Meanwhile, with Pachirisu, it was running before it began to chase its tail. Then it had yawn and fell asleep, with its tail as a pillow.

From a far, Team Rocket had spotted Pachirisu in their sight. "What a doll! A perfect ten on the cutie meter!" Jessie exclaims. "Say, that fabulous fluff ball can be the prime Pokémon that is whistling me to the wind!"

-back with Dawn-

Dawn's alone in her thoughts since Ash, Volo, Gary and Brock had left her alone to think for a while. She looks up at the cloud and saw a shape that looked like Pachirisu. 

"Pachirisu..." She said, sadly as she remembered the short and playful times that Pachirisu had made.

Then finally she made her decisions as she stood up and ran over to the others who had looked up at her. 

"You know...I guess, I really need to have Pachirisu, you know?" Dawn asks.

Brock, Ash, Gary and Volo look at each other for a moment before smiling as they stand up. 

"Of course, you'll need to catch it again." Brock explains.

"Yeah, and we'll help you do it!" Gary said, smiling. 

"Wow, thanks you guys." Dawn thanked them, appreciated by their help.

"It couldn't gotten far, Dawn." Volo said, smiling. 

"If we all have a look, for sure, we'll find it in no time!" Ash exclaims.

"Pika!" Pikachu agreed.

"Yeah!" Dawn agreed.

With that, the group ran off in search for Pachirisu again so Dawn could reclaim it once more.

-with Pachirisu-

Meanwhile, Pachirisu was looking at Team Rocket, with a confused look. "Okay! Getting the Pokeball, out of cobweb!" Jessie exclaims. "Alright! Go Pokeball!" She shouts as she threw it at Pachirisu.

The empty Pokeball had sucked Pachirisu into it as it shook three times.

"And in one shot!" Meowth exclaims as Jessie chuckled. But Pachirisu had came out of it then smacked the Pokeball back at Jessie and it hit her right in the face!

"Oh well, at least you tried!" James said, smiling nervously only to be startled by Jessie who shot straight back up, furious. "I know you're a quitter but not me!"

"Team Rocket!" Ash's voice was called as Team Rocket looked over to see Ash and the others running over. 

"Who do you think you are, trying to take Pachirisu?!" Gary demands, glaring at them.

"Listen, is that the twerp voice that I hear?"

"It's shrieks to me loud and clear!"

"On the wind!"

"Past the stars!"

"In your ear!"

"Bringing total chaos at a breakneck place!"

"Dashing hope and putting fear in its place!"

"A rose by any other name is just as sweet!"

"When everything's worse, our work is complete!"

"Jessie!"

"And James!"

"Meowth, now that's a name!"

"Putting the good doers in their places!"

"Team Rocket!"

"We're in your face!"

"Hey, that Pachirisu is Dawn's!" Ash snapped. "But when Jessie threw her Pokeball, it had no issues climbing into it." James snickers. 

"And of course, if there was another landlord, it wouldn't done that!" Meowth adds.

"Touché! So, if you're claiming it as your property, let's see you call it back to your Pokeball!" Jessie taunts and Dawn flinched at that since her Pokeball won't work on Pachirisu if it became a wild Pokémon now.

"I thought so! Perhaps, Pachirisu really walk on the wild side as a free agent!" Jessie sneers. 

"Oh yeah, why don't you call back Pachirisu, then!" Volo snaps and that made James and Meowth flinched at that, and Jessie had a nervous look.

"I thought so!" Volo mocks Jessie.

"The twerpette didn't do it either!" Jessie pointed out.

"Alright, look! I may have let Pachirisu go, but I'm catching it again!" Dawn snaps. "Well, well, well, that may be on your twerpish's wish list, but I think that Pachirisu have other plans!" Jessie laughs.

"Y-You think so?" Dawn asked and got hesitant again. 

"But why don't we let the final decisions rest in Pachirisu's paws?" Jessie suggests. 

"I guess..." Dawn said, unsure though Kira put her hand on her shoulder.

"Dawn, have faith in yourself... Pachirisu is bound to choose you." Volo assures her with a big smile on her face.

"Alright, give me the last morsel of food, we have left." Jessie demands.

Meowth and James had frozen in place when they heard that. "But that means we'll have none for us!" Meowth exclaims.

"You may need to fast! But not me!" James added.

"GIVE ME THE FOOD AND CUT THE WEIGHT JOKES!" Jessie snaps at them. Meowth and James sighed and gave the rest of the food to Jessie in a small green bag to which she had smile for her plan. "You know a way to a Pokémon's heart, is through its stomach!" Jessie exclaims.

"You got me there..." Meowth said, feeling hungry already.

"Here Pachi Pachi Pachi Pachi Pachi!" Jessie called in a sweet voice. Pachirisu cocked her head with curiousity! "This yummy bread is also build strong Pokémon's well blaze!" Jessie reminded the EleSquirrel Pokémon, waving the bread to Pachirisu.

"Brock, just give it some of your food!" Ash whispered. 

"I really don't want to go there." Brock argued sadly.

"Do you guys really want to go from there?" Volo asked, with a unsurprised look at Brock and Ash and Gary laughs sheepishly. 

"Luring it with food won't prove anything!" Dawn snaps. 

Jessie grew annoyed with her enemy's words, taking it as an insult "THEN GIVE THAT INFLATED EGO OF YOURS TO REST AND LET THAT PACHIRISU BE MINE!!" Jessie bellowed, frightening James and Meowth.

Suddenly, Pachirisu began to walk towards Jessie, smelling the bread! Jessie grew overjoyed with this working progress.

"That's it! I win! This fab furball knows real beauty when it sees it!" Jessie giggled. However, as Jessie looked at Pachirisu again, she was wrong as Pachirisu unleashed Discharge, only wanting to get the food.

Team Rocket screamed as they were shocked by the Electric Type attack.

Jessie fainted, feeling a bit... uh... shocked as she dropped the bag of food, to which Pachirisu picked up and began eating all the food! "Well, least we did have the spare of grub." Meowth groaned.

"I'll be sure to keep that fact in mind while I'm starving to death." James groaned.

To the heroes, they grew surprised, but glad to see Pachirisu not joining Team Rocket "Pachirisu doesn't like those three at all!" Dawn giggled.

"It just wanted the food, instead..." Gary laughed nervously.

"As a old tell said "Don't talk to me I'm here for the food"" Volo states making the other four trainers look at Volo confused but shrug it off.

"Excuse me, twerp in boots! But I didn't see Pachirisu didn't give you any love shocks now, did you!?" Jessie screamed.

Brock sweat dropped with Jessie's anger. "Talk about the positive spin. She ought to have a job in politics." Brock replied.

Ash turned to Dawn. "C'mon Dawn! Now's your chance!" Ash reminded her. "Right! Um... excuse me, please. I'm sorry for what I did, and I want you to come with me." Dawn explained, careful not to scare Pachirisu.

Pachirisu finished eating her snack, then turned to Dawn, and began walking towards her! "I knew it, Brock, Gary, Volo! Pachirisu wasn't ever going to forget Dawn, no way!" Ash exclaimed.

"You said nothing to me, but oh well" Volo responds.

That tore Jessie up really bad this time! "Oh really!? Pachirisu would never choose you after for all we've been through!" Jessie snapped.

"True!" James and Meowth agreed. They retreated to the bushes, which then, the Meowth balloon began floating up in the air A robot arm made a grab for Pachirisu, who dodged

The heroes saw Team Rocket floating in their hot air balloon "That Pachirisu is faster than water off of Wailord's back!" Jessie snapped. 

"That's what buttons are for! As you can see?" Meowth laughed. "I've got 'em!" He exclaims, pushing a button, which the robot hand launched a giant pink goop at Pachirisu!

Pachirisu tried to dodge, but its foot got caught on the goop so the EleSquirrel Pokémon couldn't escape.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha! That goop will keep Pachirisu planted in the same place until we get all the grub!" Meowth laughed.

"A brilliant plan!" Jessie giggles.

"I thought you were stuck up those stupid nonsense! Silly me!" James exclaims.

"That's it! Pikachu, go!" Ash called.

"Okay Piplup and Buneary, go protect Pachirisu!" Dawn called.

Pikachu, Piplup, and Buneary all made an attempt to save Pachirisu

Unfortunately, Meowth saw it coming! "More bubble gum, outta do ya!" Meowth laughed, launching stickier goop, trapping all three Pokémon! Pikachu, and Buneary's legs go stuck in the goop and Piplup's head was also caught in it.

"Ha ha ha ha! Course, you can't blow a bubble when it's stuck on your head and feet!" Meowth laughed.

"That's enough!" Dawn shouted. Dawn went in front of Pachirisu to protect her from Team Rocket! "Pachirisu stays here!" Dawn snapped and Pachirisu looked up at her, surprised.

"And so do you twerps!" Meowth cackled. He launched four more goop! It caught Dawn by the legs, Ash from his back, Gary from his knees, and with Brock on his arms and legs. They all gasped and were startled with the sticky goop.

"Hey, it's good to stay in one place!" Meowth sneered.

"But let's not forget, we have other plans for Pachirisu!" Jessie reminded.

"One sprits of Team Rocket's perfume and it's a done deal!" Meowth explained.

"Say, I didn't know you were well verse with Aromatherapy!" James admitted.

"Of course, don't raise a stink!" Meowth snickered, then all the Team Rocket members laughed as they went out of the balloon with the ladder to deal with Pachirisu.

But Volo was the only one standing glaring "this is the closest you can go, Team Rocket!" he tells them standing between Dawn and Pachirisu and Team Rocket while Petilil and Mawile stands ready for battle."

"Volo" Dawn calls for her friend.

The blonde looks back at Dawn "don't worry about me, Dawn, I know what to do"

"Let's see about that, Seviper!" Jessie calls as he Poison-type Pokémon appears.

"You too, Carnivine!" James also calls only for the Grass-type to bite James head off.

Petilil turn to Volo "Lil!"

Volo looks at Petilil confused "What is it Petilil?" he questions.

Gary seems to realize what's going on "Volo!" the blonde looks back "The Sun Stone, Petilil wants the Sun Stone!" he states.

Volo looks surprised and looks back at Petilil "Now!?" he asked Petilil nods Volo nods and pulls out the Sun-shaped stone from his back pocket "Alright, Petilil time to Evolve!" he said throwing the Sun Stone and Petilil jumps with all her might and makes contact with the stone before its whole-body glows making everyone watch the evolution happening before their eyes.

The light then fades as a new Pokémon appears in Petilil's place 

It is a humanoid Pokémon with plant characteristics. It dons a scarlet flower with white-spotted petals upon its head; said flower has golden filaments with red anther, resembling a crown. It possesses dark green, linear leaves under the flower, and light green, linear leaves underneath the darker leaves. One of the light green leaves, on the back of its head, is about as long as its body and resembles hair. Two light green leaves loosely hang down from its head. Its head and abdomen are white and its eyes, which resemble seeds, are a light shade of scarlet. It has dark green, linear leaves for arms, and a golden sepal under its neck. It wears a large, light green, tulip shaped collection of leaves, resembling a dress. There are two long, dark green, linear leaves coming from its back to around the bottom of its "dress". It also possesses another golden, sepal-shaped extension underneath its "dress", resembling feet.

"Lilligant!" the Pokémon cries

"Lilligant!" Volo states as everyone else looks shocked at the seeing the new Pokémon.

Volo pulls out his Pokédex to check on his newly evolved Pokémon.

"Lilligant, the Flowering Pokémon, and the evolved form of Petilil. The beautiful flower on Lilligant's head gives off a relaxing fragrance, although getting it bloom can be difficult even for a veteran Trainer."

"Still even with a Bigger Pokémon doesn't mean we're backing down! Seviper Poison Tail!" Jessie commands.

"Carnivine use Bite!" James joins.

Both Seviper and Carnivine attends to charge at Both Mawile and Lilligant.

"Mawile, use Fairy Wind!"

Before Mawile can attack a green blur swift past the Deceiver Pokémon knocking back the two bigger Pokémon.

Both Mawile and Lilligant were confused as they see the third Pokémon. Volo's eyes widen with shock recognizing the Pokémon before him Immediately.

"Hisuian Lilligant!?" Volo questions as everyone looks confused at the naming.

"Hisuian?" they repeated.

Volo looks back at the Pokédex still in hand.

"Lilligant, Hisuian Form, the Spinning Pokémon, and the evolved form of Petilil. Its well-developed legs are the result of a life spent on mountains covered in deep snow. The scent it exudes from its flower crown heartens those in proximity."

"Lil!" the Hisuian Lilligant give Volo a bow.

"You want to help us, Lilligant?" Volo asks the Spinning Pokémon who nod "thanks, so much, but for now I need to get my friend out of the Pink goo" Volo points at his friends behind him.

Hisuian Lilligant sees this and nods and runs towards the rest of our heroes as her arms glows with green light and slices the goo into bit much to everyone's surprise and amazement as Team Rocket grows nervous at the scene before him.

"Now where were we? That's right! Mawile use Fairy Wind and Lilligant use Petal Dance!" Volo commands.

Mawile begins spinning rapidly, creating strong gusts of sparkling wind as Lilligant spins around and multiple pink petals surround her body. The petals are then fired at Team Rocket in the form of a spiral the moves strike Team rocket as the were sent flying.

"If I wanted that grand of affection, Ill just beat my head against the wall." Jessie groaned. 

"The thing is, I thought Jessie was getting smarter." James sighed, smiling nervously.

"All things must pass!" Meowth said.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!!!" Team Rocket shouts, leaving a twinkling star as they disappeared.

Dawn picks up Pachirisu "I'm so sorry, Pachirisu, I was just an emotional mess, say why don't you want to come with us" she asks. 

"Chipa!" Pachirisu nods.

So, Dawn took out a Pokéball, capturing Pachirisu once again "Wow! This Pachirisu is all mine!" Dawn exclaims as Piplup and Buneary joined in with the celebration again.

"You got a new friend!" Ash exclaims. 

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed 

"Yeah, and we just add some speed and cuteness to our family." Brock added.

"Good to have Pachirisu in the family!" Gary said, happily then they all ran over to congratulate her.

"Gant!" Hisuian Lilligant calls the blonde.

Volo looks at the Spinning Pokémon who spins and poses at Volo which realization came to Volo "You want to come with?" he asks.

"Lilligant!" Hisuian Lilligant cry happily which Unovan Lilligant also cries happily.

Volo pulls out a Pokéball "Alright, then, Pokéball let's go!" Volo throws a Pokéball at Lilligant who made contact and lets itself get captured after the Pokéball shake three times.

Volo picks up "looks like we have a new friend...in Hisuian Lilligant!" he exclaims as Mawile and Lilligant join with the celebration.

Volo looks down at the Pokéball in hand "Flora" he said.

Gary walks up to the Blonde "What was that?" he asks.

Volo looks at Gary "is the name I'm giving this Hisuian Lilligant to tell apart from Lilly" he looks at the Unovan Lilligant who cried happily at the nickname her trainer gave.

Ash and Brock look at Volo with a smile "Looks like Dawn isn't the only one with a new friend" Brock said.

"Yeah, I'm sure Volo would be one heck of a rival if we face him in battle, right Pikachu?" Ash said looking at his partner on his shoulder.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agrees.

Dawn smiles with determination "I can agree on that, Ash! remember that You're not his only rival, Ash" she reminds the Kantonian.

There's nothing like the thrill of catching a new Pokémon for inspiration and the evolution of Petilil into Lilligant. And in the case of Pachirisu, and Hisuian Lilligant you can be certain that Dawn's more resolved than ever to make her next Pokémon Contest a winning one! But the questions is will she be able to surpass her biggest rival in Volo?
