"i'm so sleepy..."

"so sleepy..."

i side-eyed hyeona. she was already fucking asleep, so why the hell was she saying she was sleepy?? goodness.

"what am i going to do..." i muttered to myself, looking at the poor girl.

an idea finally popped in my head. it was risky, and she'd probably strangle me to death the next morning, but what was i supposed to do on this situation?

when i reached my house, i parked the car back to where i got it from, and got the sleeping beauty on my back, sneaking inside.

a guy carrying a girl on his back into his house at 1 AM in the morning. if my parents saw a sight like this, i'd probably be disowned and kicked out.

after 50 years worth of struggle, i snuck in through my bedroom window, and lightly placed hyeona on my bed. i gave myself a pat on the back for being such a genius and coming up with the idea in the first place.

after i got a few extra blankets to make sure the girl was nice and cozy, i relaxed at last and fell asleep after what had felt like an eternity.

i suddenly was an angel.

i'm completely serious. i became an angel. i don't know why or how, but everything around me was warm and fuzzy, and i was bathing in divine light, until-

i rolled off something and fell down to hell.

"oW fuck!!" i screeched when i hit the ground, slowly getting ahold of my senses and waking up. "that fucking hurt..."

my eyes fluttered open, and i nearly screamed at the sight. in front of me, about one centimeter away, was none other than nam joohyuk. his eyes were closed and i thought he was sleeping, until the idiot put his hand over my mouth to shut me up.

his eyes shot open and he glared at me. i hit him in the head in response. don't give me those dirty ass eyes.

finally, he removed his hand and i let out a breath.

why the hell was i here anyways?? and also, where the fuck was i exactly?? what happened yesterday-

there was a sudden knock on the door. my first reaction was to dart under the blanket.

"joohyuk-ah, are you okay? i heard a loud thump." an old lady's voice called. i heard the doorknob turn and it slowly open, my heart beating 50 times faster.

"w-wAit mom don't come in!" joohyuk yelled.

"huh? why?" she asked.

"b-because-i'm...changing." he replied. "and i'm okay mom. i just dropped something, sorry!"

joohyuk's mother let out a chuckle and closed the door. "alright then."

after a few seconds of silence, i was sure she had left and went back to the surface.

i shot joohyuk a glare, but the dude was already trying to sleeping again. then i tried to sit up but he pulled me back down next to him.

"stop moving around." joohyuk whispered. "be quiet."

"where am i?? where did you take me?? what happened-"

joohyuk slid his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. he looked down at me, and i suddenly got 100x more nervous, making me forget what i was saying.

"i'll tell you later-" he said, but then seemed like he started to realize how uncomfortably close the two of us were. i saw his adam's apple move when he gulped too, and it was really attractive. i won't use any word other than attractive.

joohyuk's eyes travelled down to my lips for half a second, and i could tell he was trying to snap out of it. but i also, was trying to snap out of it.

romance between two best friends is a no no. i can't lose a friend like him to something cruel like love. love gets worn out too easily.

regardless, i didn't do anything to stop it when joohyuk leaned in, and my eyes closed unconsciously.

every beginning has an end.

the thought popped in my head, and that's when my eyes shot open and i jolted up, dodging joohyuk's attempt immediately.

it won't have to end if we don't start.
