Chen's ferry arrived at an island.

Cole: Look at that.

Kai: Awesome.

Karlof: Let me see.

He pushed Kai.

Kai: Where's your manners?

Clouse: Welcome to Chen's Island. The Tournament of Elements welcomes its brave fighters. Master Chen will be pleased you've returned, Sensei Garmadon.

Garmadon: The pleasure is all mine, Clouse.

Clouse: I'm sure it is.

Clouse walked away and everyone started to climb off the boat.

Jay: Definitely feeling some tension between you two.

Kai: Yeah, and how is it we're on an island I've never seen on any map? Or read about?

Cole: And care to explain how the face to Ninjago's most popular noodle house is secretly assembling an underground fighting tournament?

Garmadon: Master Chen used to be a friend. Now he's a traitor. During the Serpentine Wars, Chen turned against his own kind and sided with the treacherous snakes.

Lloyd: The battle you and Uncle Wu fought together in? He was an enemy?

Garmadon: He used deception to divide the Elemental Masters. We barely defeated the Serpentine, and in a deal for his surrender, Chen was to never leave this island. Little did we know, he'd begin to build his criminal empire from here.

Lloyd: He may have divided our ancestors, but he's not gonna divide us.

Kai saw Skylor walking and thought about when they shook hands. But snapped out off it of Cole speaking.

Cole: This is a big island. Zane could be anywhere. Keep an eye out.

Jay: So this is the house that noodles built. Ha! Always wanted to go to a red carpet event.

Garmadon: Chen lives like a king. Here, he's totally self-sufficient. The only way on or off this island is with his permission, which you have to earn.

Lloyd: You never told me about this place. How do you know so much about this island?

Garmadon: Because before Chen was my enemy, he was my Sensei.

He showed them his Anacondrai tattoo. The Elemental Masters soon arrived inside the palace and sat in a circle.

Lloyd: You never told me you had a Sensei.

Garmadon: When I was your age, I sought a darker means of guidance. He taught me to win at all cost, no matter who I hurt. It wasn't until you saved me that I saw the light.

Jay: Uh, apparently he also never taught you to have a sense of humor. Lighten up, we're in an underground fight club. This is supposed to be fun.

Zugu banged a gong and Eyezor turned on a gramophone.

Clouse: All rise for Master Chen.

Master Chen came down on his chair.

Chen: Welcome to the Tournament of Elements. Now everyone can all di—

The door sudden closed and everyone gasped.

Chen: —rect your attention to me!

He laughed. Garmadon whisperd to Lloyd.

Garmadon: I forgot to mention he has a penchant for theatrics.

Chen: Never before have so many Elemental Fighters been under one roof. I see Master of Fire, Earth, Shadow, Speed, even a prophesied Green Savior. And a former pupil has returned.

He pointed to the gong.

Chen: This symbol before you is for the Anacondrai, fiercest Serpentine warrior to ever roam this land. Its creed: "Only one can remain."

Cole whispered to Kai.

Cole: Good thing Pyther is raised by us.

Kai: Yeah. We have good influence on him.

They smiled at eachother.

The gong moved aside, showing a bracket. The ninja was shown to be far away from eachother.

Kai: Good, looks like we're each in our own bracket. We won't have to face each other for a while.

Lloyd: Better find Zane before that happens.

Chen then held up a green blade.

Chen: Behold, a Jadeblade. Here, it represents life. Obtain it, move on. Allow your opponent to take it, loser. The rules are simple. Every match will be different. No two fights will be the same. Your powers will keep you in the Tournament. Use it or lose it.

Karlof: Hm, what does Karlof win?

Chen: Win and stay on the island. Win it all, and you'll receive fortunes beyond your wildest dreams, and lifetime supply of Master Chen noodles. But no one is here because of noodle. You want the glory of being the greatest fighter in all of Ninjago!

Everyone but the ninja cheered.

Garmadon: And what happens if they lose?

Chen: Lose? Who here likes to lose?

Everyone but the ninja laughed.

Chen: Now please, enjoy my island. It's a super fun happy place. Hahaha. Fun time on me.

Clouse: You'll now each be shown to your rooms.

Kabuki walked up to each one of the Masters.

Jay: Ah, just what this place needs. Creepy clowns.

Garmadon: Not clowns. Kabuki, Chen's jesters.

The Kabuki grabbed the ninja's arms.

Cole: Yeah, well, whatever they are, I don't like them.

Kai: So much for staying together.

They where being escorted to their suites.

Garmadon: Always be ready. Never lose focus.

Cole: What? Uh, what did he say?

Jay: I don't know. Something about, uh, mucus?

Kai: No. He said to keep focus.

Kai came to his suite.

Kabuki #1: Your Fire suite, Master Kai.

Kai: Wow.

His room was red with a painting of himself and a book case full of different books. He looked through and found a book about the elements that was in this tournament. There he saw a page about amber. He walked out on the balcony still reading the book.

Kai: Interesting.

Skylor: A good book I can assume?

Kai looked up and saw Skylor.

Kai: Looks like we're neighbors. I'm Kai, master of fire.

Skylor: I'm Skylor, master of... bet you wanna know?

Kai: Let me guess. Amber?

Skylor was a little shocked, but them smiled.

Skylor: How did you know?

Kaya: On the boat when we shook hands. I felt a tingling in my hand. Then I read about amber in this book so it wasn't hard to pin it together.

Skylor: You really like reading.

Kai: You can say that.

Both laughed a little. Another Kabuki showed Jay his room.

Kabuki #2: Every device within your room has been configured to interact with your own electrical signal.

He used Lightning and saw a television with a game console.

Jay: Whoo!

Cole layd down on his bed.

Cole: A stone bed? Come on.

He unintentionally opened a secret compartment.

Cole: Huh?

He ran towards it and saw food on the shelves.

Cole: Chen's Noodle House? Three ingredient sizzling rice, snow pea cuttlefish, mu shu wu shu? Haha!

He started eating when he saw cake.

Cole: Cake? Hah! Score!

Lloyd tried on a new gi.

Lloyd: Yeah, this is sweet, hehe.

He saw a picture of the ninja. He looked at Zane's part of the picture.

Lloyd: Don't worry. We're gonna find you, pal.

Clouse pushed Garmadon out of the palace.

Clouse: Since you weren't invited by Master Chen, I'm sorry to say there's no room for you.

Garmadon: Fine, I'll just stand guard. I wouldn't want anything to happen to them. I know how you like to use Dark Magic.

Clouse: Now, why would I want to cheat the ninja?

He closed the gate and music started to play. Garmadon started to climb over the fence.

Chen: Fellow fighters, hidden around my island are enough Jadeblades for every participant except for one. The one who returns to the palace arena empty-handed loses. The tournament begins...now!

Jay was taking a bath.

Jay: Now?

Bolobo ran inside his room.

Bolobo: Aah! This room could use a breath of fresh air. Lightning, meet Nature!

They were fighting eachother and saw a Jadeblade on Jay's ceiling light. Lloyd walked out from his room.

Chen: May the best fighter win.

Skylor and Kai saw a Jadeblade above them.

Skylor: Is that—

Kai: A Jadeblade?

Lloyd and several other Masters saw a Jadeblade. They dashed towards it. Lloyd ran to but Ash tripped him. Lloyd tried to strike him but he turned to smoke.

Skylor went after the Jadeblade.

Skylor: That one is mine.

Kai jumped after her.

Skylor: Stop!

Kai: You stop! Unh!

Skylor fell but Kai caught her.

Skylor: Help me!

Kai threw her toward the Jadeblade.

Skylor: Sorry, hot tamale. 

Kai saw Karlof below him.

Karlof: What does Karlof..

Cole walked out from his room full, and found the other Masters fighting for a Jadeblade.

Cole: Oh, I can't fight on a full stomach.

He saw a Jadeblade no one was after.

Cole: All right!

Griffin saw Cole and pushed the other Masters off him before he used his Speed to obtain Cole's Jadeblade.

Griffin: Ha! Too slow, Rocky Boy.

Cole: Hey!

Just as Bolobo was using his vines on Jay, he grabbed a remote and turned the TV on.

Fritz: Fear? Fear isn't a word where I come from.

Bolobo: Ooh, Fritz Donnegan.

Jay escaped and grabbed the Jadeblade.

Jay: Haha! I love my room!

Clouse used his Magic to trap Lloyd.

Lloyd: Wha—Hey!

Garmadon, having climbed back inside, tackled Clouse.

Garmadon: Hurry, Lloyd. You must not lose.

Lloyd grabbed the Jadeblade.

Cole pushed several Masters off of him.

Cole: It's mine! Oh, stomach cramp.

Mr. Pale turned invisible and stole the Blade.

Cole: Hey, stop! Stupid Blade. Unh!

He used Earth to make Mr. Pale visible.

Cole: Hahaha! Ninja, go! (Gags.) Okay, that was too fast.

Gravis stole his Jadeblade.

Cole: Hey, that's mine!

He saw a Jadeblade under a bench.

Cole: Uh. Yes!

Clouse put a Jadeblade on a holder.

Clouse: Two Jadeblades remaining.

Cole ran in.

Cole: Wait! I got one!

Jay: Cole! Whoo-hoo! You made it.

Cole: Where's Kai?

Chen: Only one Jadeblade remaining.

Kai and Karlof dueled for the last Blade. Chen spoke over an intercom.

Chen: Get on with it!

They fought. The other master then saw Karlof walk in with the Jadeblade.

Karlof: Hahaha! Karlof wins!

Everyone except the ninja cheered. Kai suddenly ran up behind him and kicked his hand, making the blade fly in the air. He jumped up and grabbed it before he landed by the holder.

Karlof: What?

Kai: Never let your guard down.

Everyone cheered.

Chen: We have a loser!

Karlof: That's not fair.

Kai: I won fair and Square.

Karlof: Fine, I lose. Karlof never wanted to be on stinking island.

Chen: Oh, I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I guess this worked out for the best. This is goodbye!

He pushed a button, activating a trapdoor under Karlof. He screamed as he fell. Everyone gasped.

Chen: As you can see, lose and you are out. Break any rule, you are out. Never bite the hand that feeds you Master Chen delicious noodle! Now rest up. Tomorrow the tournament will recommence.

Later that day, the ninja sat in a booth.

Cole: At least the chow's good.

Jay: Arrgh, it's killing me. What's under the trapdoor? What happens when you lose?

Garmadon: Don't think about that.

Jay: It's all I can think about. I moved on. I feel guilt. These are not good feelings.

Kai: You think you feel bad? Imaging how I feel. Our mission is simple. Tonight we find Zane and get off this crazy island.

Jay: And just how are we supposed to do that? You heard Chen. Break a rule and we're out. He's not gonna let us roam around.

Kai: Then it's a good thing we're ninja. Meet me in my room at midnight.

Mr. Pale: You mind if I join you?

Jay: Disappear, pal! This is private.

Mr. Pale turned invisible. Jay sighed.

Jay: I know you're still here. I can see your lunch tray.

He walked away.

Cole: Wow, Jay, you were really mean.

Jay: How am I supposed to know if we can trust him? See what this island is doing to me? It's corrupting me! It has to stop. I'll see you tonight.

Kai walked out on the balcony where he meet Skylor.

Kai: Hi Skylor.

Skylor: Hi. I've seen that you and the master of earth is close? Best friend?

Kai: We're actually closer than that.

Skylor then saw his engagement ring.

Skylor: I see. Finance. Gotta say. You two really look like a cute couple.

Kai: Thanks. We really love eachother. Plus we have an adoptive son. His name is Pyther. One of the last Anacondrai. We really love him.

Skylor held over her heart.

Skylor: Aww. My heart. Too much sweetness.

They both laughed. Skylor then looked at Kai.

Skylor: What do you think happened to Karlof?

Kai: I feel horrible. If I had known what would happen—

Skylor: You didn't know. So you didn't do anything wrong. For you, you fought to stay. I'm sorry if I was cold to you earlier. Maybe it's good to have friends.

Kai: That would be good, friend.

Skylor smiled and Kai shivered.

Kai: Oh, it's really cold out. Better call it a night.

Skylor: Yeah. See you tomorrow.

They walked inside. At midnight, Kai opened his door to let Lloyd, Cole and Jay in.

Jay: Whoa-ho-ho-ho. Nice digs.

Cole: I know. His room is so much nicer than mine. Look, chocolate-covered shell peas. I love these.

He took the bowl and jumped on Kai's bed.

Cole: Oh, and look how soft your pillows are. Man, mine are made of rock. What a crock.

Jay: Okay, it was almost impossible to get here. This place is swarming with guards. Any ideas on how we search the island?

Kai: We travel by shadow. Cover every square inch of this place until we find him.

Cole accidentely made the bed flip over.

Cole: Whoa—

Jay: The island's big. We'll need to split up.

Lloyd: No, we stick together.

The bed flipped over again, bringing Cole back up.

Cole: Uh, guys, this bed is, uh...

Kai: Honey, I get it! You like my bed. Could you please stop playing around?

Cole: I think I know how we can search the island.

The ninja layed down on the bed.

Lloyd: Okay, I feel ridiculous.

Jay: Ah, you're right. The pillows are soft.

Lloyd: Is this a joke?

Cole: I must've done something to trigger it. I was laying here, then I stretched—

The bed flipped over again and they fell on the ground.

Jay: Whoa! Secret passageway! Cool.

Kai used his powers to light up the passage.

Kai: Nice work, honey. Maybe Zane's not on the island, but in it.

They heard grunting.

Lloyd: Quiet. Do you hear that?

Jay saw light coming from two holes.

Jay: Oh, secret peep holes. Haha! Super cool. Sounds like someone's fighting on the other side of this wall.

He looked through them

Cole: What do you see? Who's fighting?

Jay: It's not a fight. It's Skylor's room. And it looks like she's training.

Kai: Don't be a perv.

Jay: I just wanna know what powers we're up against.

Lloyd: Jay, this is an invasion of privacy.

Jay: Ugh, her room doesn't reveal anything about her power.

He then saw her use fire.

Cole: What was it? What did you see?

Jay: She's...Fire...

Lloyd: Wait a minute, if we're all descendants of Elemental Masters...

Cole: She might be related to you Kai.

Kai chuckled.

Kai: She isn't related to me. She's the master of amber, she can copy the powers of whoever she touch. Now let's keep going.

They started to walk.

Kai: It's like a maze down here. Good thing you're leaving a trail back to our room.

Cole: I'm what?

He looked behind him and saw his chocolate shell peas.

Cole: Oh, yeah, heh. I meant to do that.

They walked down farther until Lloyd saw a tripwire.

Lloyd: Everyone stop! Booby traps.

Jay: Haha! Booby traps. Even cooler. Haha.

Lloyd stared at him.

Jay: Or, I mean, kinda cool. I mean, they're totally not cool, you know, 'cause they're dangerous.

Lloyd: From here on out, we have to watch our step.

Kai heard chanting.

Kai: Do you hear that? Everyone be quiet.

The ninja hid behind a rock. They each fought an Anacondrai Cultist and took their outfits. They followed them to Chen's ceremony. They made tattoos by chocolate. Cole licked them.

Kai: Honey please. Stop licking your tattoos.

Cole: It's chocolate, firefly. I can't resist.

Lloyd: Shh! Just try to fit in.

They chanted with the Warriors.

Chen: Bring out the loser.

Karlof: Unh! Get hands off Karlof! Karlof wish he never sign up for this. What's chanting for?

Chen: Uh, they're saying "only one can remain." Like I said, use it or lose it.

Chen used his staff to shoot ice and steal Karlof's power.

Kai: He's stolen Karlof's power.

Cole: And he used Ice. That means he must have already stolen Zane's power too.

Karlof: What happened to my Metal?

Chen laughed.

Chen: Your Metal? Oh, it's mine now. But now I will let you go.

Karlof: Really?

Chen: To the factory!

Karlof: No, no! Let Karlof go! No, no!

Karlof is dragged away. Lloyd noticed their tattoos melting.

Lloyd: Jay, your face...

Jay: My face? All of our faces! The chocolate's melting.

The cultists looked at the ninja.

Warrior: Who are they?

Chen: Intruders! Stop them! They must not escape!

As they ran away, Cole triped on the tripwire, closing the door on the Warriors.

Kai: A-ha! Yes!

Another trap got activeted.

Kai: Oh, no!

They ran away and escaped the trap.

Cole: That was close.

They heared growling.

Jay: That sound.

They saw a serpent below them.

Kai: That has got to be the second biggest snake I have ever seen!

They climbed up with the snake snapping at them. They then reentered Kai's room, falling on his ned.

Kai: Are we...

Lloyd: Yeah, barely.

Cole: Did we just—ow!

Jay: No more sneaking around. From now on, let's just follow the rules.

Kai: Unh! We may not have found Zane, but we found something just as important. This tournament isn't about glory. It's about Chen stealing all of our Elemental Powers.

Lloyd: But why? What is he planning?

Kai: I don't know, but if we're gonna find out and find Zane, we have to play by his rules. Agreed?

All: Agreed.

Cole: Good thing we weren't spotted. That was close.

Jay: Yeah, too close.

He showed them a piece of his disguise the snake tore off.

Clouse took the fabric off the snake.

Clouse: Hm. Good work, my pet. Yes, yes, we do know who the impostors are, don't we? Don't worry. They will pay for their actions.
