"I will tie you to a cave behind a waterfall!"

Emmetts frustrated statement ran through the forest. Violet, who had been walking ahead of him and towards the treaty line stopped. She pivoted on her heel, coming face to face with her imprint very irritated expression and crossed her arms. They stared one another down, the five feet between them filled with tension as neither dared to break.

"Kinky," was all she managed to answer back turning on her heel once more and going the other way from the Cullen home. Obviously she wasn't going to break from her decision.

"Oh no! You're not getting away that easily!" Emmett yelled, rushing forward and picking her clean off the ground and over his shoulder.

"EMMETT!" She yelled with a laugh. "GODDAMMIT! POLAR BEAR!"

Emmett tried his best to stop the smile attempting to break out onto his face. Truth be told he wasn't all that mad with her, yes he didn't want her anywhere near the fight but he wasn't going to deny her the opportunity... that however didn't mean he wouldn't try to convince her otherwise.

"If I drop you will you stop running away from me?" His deep voice questioned aloud, continuing his purposely bumpy walk.

"Yes! You're getting twigs in my hair!" She screamed.

Emmett laughed, loving the overdramatic tone in her voice before gently letting her back down onto the ground. Watching as she pulled the grey top underneath her leather jacket downwards, hiding her smooth tan stomach.

She angrily huffed, swatting Emmett large palm away when he tried to get the small leaf out of her hair. "I told you! If there's one bug in my hair I will throw you!"

Emmett laughed at the little growl she let out, "oh relax darling. You look like the queen of the forest... this generations Artemis."

Vi narrowed her eyes at his teasing, humming in annoyance and turning on her heel, away from the treaty line and the Cullen home.

"Vi! Darling! Violet!" Emmett yelled after her, running at a slow pace to catch up. "Where are we headed?"

"To find my new imprint!" She spat back.

Emmett raised a brow but followed nonetheless as she sped through the trees, her scent lingering in with the woods.

When they stopped Emmett almost crashed right into her back, almost throwing both of them right into the small lake.

"How did you know about this place?" He questioned in amazement, watching as she dropped to the ground near the lake and ran her small fingers through the cold water. She looked at peace, restful even. Emmett almost believed she actually was Artemis.

"I know about everything in this area, before you all showed up I would get lost in these woods. I always found my way home though," she answered softly. Her eyes castes upon the clear waters. "Why don't you want me going with your family?"

"You don't understand these armies. If they are after you... they'll come after you. I'm not sure I'll be able to protect you Vi... and Sam?" Emmett answered her, taking Violets lead and playing with the grass growing on the ground.

"Let them. I want them to come after me," Violet answered. "I can protect myself, I don't think you or anyone quite understands."

"It's not that simple," Emmett sighs, knowing he was fighting a losing battle.

"Yes, it really is." Violet fought back. "You said it yourself I'm the wolf queen. I have every single trait they have in their animal form... and none of you can grasp that. Wolves are born to kill your kind, what better way then with your hands?"

"You have no idea what it's like though? It's an army of them all, and every single one of them has the task to kill you." Emmett explained.

"All the more fun." Vi answered. She grasped Emmett's hands with her own suddenly, intertwining their fingers together. "Listen I get it you're worried and Sam probably won't like this very much but I'm not sitting this one out. If they came after me then I want to attack them back. I don't think you understand how scared I will be for you too Em. I'm not one to sit these things out, I wasn't made that way."

"What about Sam?" Emmett asked her, bringing up the one sole person that could possibly stop her.

"Let's not worry about that right now." She answered with a roll of her eyes. "He's gonna have to get use too it."

"So you're coming then?" Emmett asked hesitantly although the words tasted bitter coming out. He really didn't want her there but she was right, the girl could handle herself.

She nodded, "yes I am. You go I go, this is how this works."

"I like you a hell of a lot, otherwise I would be tying you down or something." Emmett answered, pulling her into his lap. Her hair brushing against his arms as he gently placed his hand across her jaw, angling her face to look directly at him.

"Emmett, let's be honest here. You couldn't take me," she laughed back although it was cut when he pressed his lips to hers, letting the small movement of water behind them be the only noise.

"I could so swim to Hawaii!" Violet defended herself, feigning a hurt expression as Jasper shook his head adamantly.

"Not a chance, you would freeze 5 miles into the trip." Alice, who sat on Jaspers lap, shot back. Agreeing with her mate as she smiled at Violet.

"Emmett! Help me out here!" Violet laughed. "I could so swim there, I was top class in elementary school and let's not forget I'm half wolf."

"Sorry Vi," Emmett called from the kitchen, searching for Violets stash of chips she had asked for minutes ago. "I would love to swim with you to Hawaii but there is no way you'd make it."

"Boo!" Vi huffed. "If I wanted to I would make it but if I'm being honest I'm too lazy to ever think about it, I mean I made Emmett get my bag of chips... if that doesn't say lazy mess then I don't know what does."

Jasper and Alice snorted in laughter, the petite vampire nodding her head, "true that. I practically had to change you like a toddler the other day at the mall."

"One, we had been to ten other places that day. My arms were physically drained and two you said I was changing to slow." Vi shot back playfully.

"CARLISLE! CARLISLE!" Edwards shouting disrupted their conversation as he rushed in carrying Bella in his arms. Violets eyes furrowing when she caught site of the angry expression on the teenage girl but also noting the way she cradled her right fist.

The head vampire sped into the room, "what's wrong? Bella are you alright?"

"Her hands broken, she punched Jacob and now she can barely move it." Edward quickly answered, setting her down on the countertop as Carlisle began examining it and asked Esme to get him his bag of medical supplies.

Vi rolled her eyes, "I doubt that entails her needing to be carried but whatever."

She stood, noticing how Bella stared at her intently. Vi was curious as to why she had hit Jacob but it was best she didn't know and stood as far away as possible from the girl. In the last few weeks they had been able to be in the Cullen household without actually interacting, and Violet was perfectly happy with that arrangement seeing as how she couldn't stand the couple. Edward and Bella tended to spend much of their time at her house or in his room just talking so Violet didn't feel bad about the situation. The tan brunette however wasn't in the mood to be stared at so she walked off, heading straight for the balcony as Alice gave her a tight lipped smile.

"Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time Bella?" Emmett distracted the brunette, his hazel eyes following his mate as she walked by him and snatched the bag of potato chips off the counter.

Vi didn't intend to listen to the rest of the conversation, she had a funny feeling she could guess what had happened. Instead she took a seat on the plush couch. The breeze coming from the ocean dancing with her hair as she pulled it back and watched the trees sway. The girl had many things on her mind as of late, for one, she still hasn't broken the news to Sam about going with the Cullens to Seattle. If she was being honest with herself she was scared of his answer, knowing her brother he wouldn't take it well. The last thing she needed was him interfering, stepping in and keeping her home. She didn't want to be home, she wanted to be near Emmett and make sure he was safe.

The sliding door behind her pushed open, the pungent smell that was a Bella Swan trait wafted in her direction and Vi restrained herself from rolling her eyes. "If you've come here thinking I'll give you some chips just because you have a boo boo then go somewhere else sweetheart."

"Jacob kissed me," Bella spoke in a firm voice. "He caught me off guard... and kissed me. I punched him."

"And you think I care? I don't think you've grasped the concept of moving on," Violet answered in a dull tone.

"You hate me. I'm sorry about what I did but..." Bella answered, holding her sprained fist. The pale brunette was conflicted and terrified of the newly added member to the Cullen coven.

"I don't hate you anymore Bella, hates draining." Vi sighed, her brown eyes meeting Bella's nervous gaze. "I'm with Emmett now and what happened last year is in the past... despite it all I no longer hate you."

"Then why do you act like it? Why can't we talk like civil people? I'm not saying we have to be best friends but it would be nice to have someone to talk too about the things going on in our lives. Like it or not you and me are going through the same things." Bella pointed out, raising a brow at the girl. Vi had to give her props, she had never talked to the half wolf like that.

"I don't hate you Bella... I barely even know you but I do hate the fact you're playing both boys. It's not fair to Jake or to Edward, especially to Jake because we all know who you will choose at the end." She answered right back, not missing a beat. "You can't keep leading them on like this, choose one, and don't give me that bullshit about having chosen Edward. I see what you're doing to Jake, I see what you do to Edward and trust me I'm not blind... I went through the same thing with Jake. Take it from the person who drew the short end of the stick, end one of them now or you'll destroy a life."

"Why do you care so much? You have Emmett, you hate Jake." Bella questioned, looking genuinely intrigued.

"Despite your thoughts I don't harbor hate, yes I may have chocked the boy out but that doesn't mean I despise him. I grew up with the boy, he was my best friend before ever becoming my boyfriend. It's not a selfish reason, it's selfless Bella," Vi shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't lying, all she wanted was for everyone she cared for to be happy and that included Jake. "Think about it."

"I will, I promise I will." Bella nodded with pursed lips.

Vi stood from her chair, handing the girl the almost full bag of chips. They stood eye to eye, both looking slightly uncomfortable. Vi offered a small smile, "next time don't stick your thumb inside your fist and aim for his nose. That'll do the trick."
