...I might as well tell you the beginning of my tale if I got so far as to broadcast onto this human website. I am the Distortionist, or at least, that what i think i'm called... I do not remember much of anything before the disaster but I will try my best to recall the events leading up to it. I was thirteen, that's in human years, (by the way, we age much slower due to technological advancements in my home dimension), at the time and was the lead scientist and architect behind the Retograde Interdimensional Ferry Transport project or RIFT for short. It was all going great and final preparations were getting made to test it for the first time and finally help those Knightwalkers we have been hearing about lately. I had noticed the backup of Chaos energy in the portals fueling the device a few days prior, but I told myself everything was going to be fine and the test would go as planned. Boy was I wrong...
