Hey, Its the Distortionist again! I'm trying something a bit different this time around... A self motivated writing exercise if you will while I'm in my crashed fortress, avoiding the blue liquid on the lower floors. Describing my every action with precision and grace.

My black high heels tapped furiously on the floor, getting rather irritated at the RIFT drive computer for taking me here! I kicked the console and it sparked due to it filling with this blue fluid a few days back. It sparked and hissed with anger as it spat smoke in my face. "Worthless computer!" I yelled out, my voice echoing throughout the vacant trophy room. I ran my hand across the artifacts and strange things I had gathered in my travels, now sitting on top of glossy silver and white  pedestals, seeing if they could help me.

There was a large array of artifacts I had gathered prior to being stranded here which were all now black, white, and grey, just like me, just like the fortress, just like Penta-city. I teared up a little at the thought of losing everyone I had loved but I quickly got over it once I realized the situation. There is a little water jet pack, an eyeball made of metal that talks nonstop, a weird possessed mask given to me by a kid in green, and my dimension tearing void bat, just to name a few. I looked over each and every one carefully to see if I could use any of them to get over the blue fluid separating me from the mansion. Once I was finished checking all of them, I went back to my room in rage, at least there, I know there is not any of that blue fluid around and I can blow off some steam... in a metaphorical sense.

My room was down the hall and up some stairs. It had a large pentagon shaped window that looked out over the vast blue fluid and the mansion and all the twinkling lights that lay beyond. I sometimes imagine those are stars and I'm back in my own dimension. I went back to sleep, trying to ignore the creaking and groaning of the waterlogged wreckage I now have to call home.

unknowing to me though, one of those twinkling lights was coming closer.
