tae's eyes flutter open as the rays of sunshine flood into his room.
invading his room and going against the glass of his window.
a smile makes its way onto his face, remembering the day that is today.

he turns to his left and is met with empty space.
his smile now vanished and a frown replaces it.
missing his boyfriend already, tae sits up and stretches.

"morning." tae mumbles to himself.

he beat up and makes his bed.
he checks his schedule and smiles.
an interview today, or rather a session with a radio station.

grabbing his towel, he goes into the bathroom.
tae moans softly as the warm water caresses his body.
his cuts hissing in pain but he doesn't care.
the voice in his head criticising him with passion.
tae, feeling all beaten up and insecure, feels tears welling up in his eyes at what the voices had said.

fucking worthless.

useless.

yoongi will leave you.

garbage.

good for nothing child.

cuts.
that's all he sees on his wrist, cuts.
and thick, crimson liquid, seeping out of the lines.

tae smiles crookedly at the art he has created.
placing a finger on his cuts, he traces them.
the grey head smiles, feeling accomplished.

tae sighs happily at his outfit.
feeling love and warmth radiating from the oversized sweatshirt his mom had bought for him.
he ruffles his hair and steps out of his room.

tae frowns.
empty, the whole dorm was empty.
tae walks towards the dining room and his frown deepens.

"hello?" tae calls out.

already feeling left out and alone.
the voice in his head laughing and crackling evilly, enjoying the pain tae is going through.

"hyungs? ggukie?" tae squeaks out.

feeling tears staring to well up in his eyes.
of course he's used to feeling alone, but when his only family leaves him?
however, tae is scared out of his wits when he hears loud shouts from behind him.

"SURPRISE!" the boys shout, scaring tae.

tae blinks and shakes his head.
he turns around and his met with his members and big smiles on their faces.
a cake, streamers and confetti all around him.

"w-what?" tae whispers in confusion.

the boys chuckle. "happy birthday tae!"

tae gasps and giggles. "thank you so much!"

yoongi smiles and starts walking over to tae.
but jimin beats him and engulfs the shorter male in a hug.
jeongguk and hoseok joins in as well, wrapping their arms around jimin and the birthday boy.

they pull away and tae in immediately hugged again by namjoon and jin.
jin places a kiss on tae's forehead making the boy blush.

"happy birthday sweetie." jin cheers.

"my turn!" yoongi whines.

tae giggles and runs to his boyfriend.
he jumps on yoongi and clings on.
yoongi chuckles and supports his small baby by his peachy ass.

"happy birthday baby." yoongi whispers into tae's ear, sending shivers down his spines at the warm breath hitting tae's neck.

"t-thank y-you hyungie." tae stutters.

* * * * *

the boys were now on the way to the radio interview.
excitement and curiosity taking its place in their veins.
loud chatter fills the atmosphere in the van as tae just listens.

he hums to himself and plays with his long sleeves.
unknowingly, tae had started singing and the entire van was quiet.
all eyes were on tae with their eyes filled with love and awe.

tae looks around and stops singing.
his face turns a bright red from all the attention.
the letter fiddles with the ends of his sleeve.

"i'm sorry." tae whispers.

yoongi smiles and pulls tae closer to him.
he places a soft kiss on tae's temple and the rest of the boys groan.

"yah, hyung. that was a beautiful moment and you ruined it by being all lovey dovey." jimin whines.

the boys laugh at jimin's statement, so does yoongi.
finally reaching, none of them didn't expect paparazzi and their fans to be gathered outside their destination.
hopping out, yoongi intertwines his and tae's fingers together and they start to walk into the building.

"TAEHYUNG OPPA!" tae hears a fan scream his name.

actually, most fans were screaming his name but this one stood out.
he immediately stops and turns around.
the rest of the boys curiously fills his gaze and eye his actions.

tae walks towards the fan that shouted his name ever so loudly.
the fan, now with a red face and mouth hanging open, squeals in excitement.
the latter smiles sweetly.

"h-happy birthday taehyung oppa." The fan smiles.

"why thank you...um?" tae replies only to turn red from embarrassment.

"mira." the fan smiles.

"thank you mira."

"can i have an autograph oppa? please?" mira, the fan, asks.

"i don't see why not. where do i sign?" tae asks as he takes the marker from mira.

"over here!" mira points to her shirt.

tae giggles softly and signs.
he smiles and returns the marker.
the male the stretches out his hands and mira squeals but allows herself to be hugged by her bias.

"thank you so much oppa! truly the best day of my life!" mira squeals as tae walks off to his members with a smile.

~ halfway through the interview ~

"alright, welcome back to ***** FM. now, we have a few questions that has been submitted by your fans." the interviewer, jen, says.

"go ahead." namjoon responds with a smile.

"right, first question, are any of you boys dating?" jen asks the laughs.

the rest of the boys gasp and eye their manager for approval.
their manager smiles and gives the a thumbs up and the boys smile thankfully.

"i actually am, i'm dating hobi hyung." jimin smiles and intertwine their fingers together.

before jen and the rest of the crew could reaction, namjoon speaks up.

"and i'm dating mr worldwide handsome." namjoon smirks at the blushing jin.

"this is adorable. what about the maknae?" jen asks.

"i'm single as a pringle." jeongguk cheers into the mic.

the boys laugh as well as jen.
jen turns her attention to yoongi and tae.

"what about the daegu boys?"

"ah, well, i'm dating this fluff ball right here." yoongi smiles and points to tae, who was seated beside him.

tae turns red and jen laughs.

"that's so cute, and tae is the new member ne?"

"ne." hoseok answers.

"and he managed to get the heart of the grumpy grandpa and make him soft. well done tae!" jimin chuckles.

~ time skip ~

"last one, oh, it isn't a question more of a request." jen smirks and eyes tae.

tae turns red and becomes flustered.
he fuddles with his fingers and tilts his head curiously.

"seems as if it is BTS's V's birthday! let's have a sing!" jen cheers.

the boys open their mouth to start singing the birthday song but was stopped.

"no no no. that's not what birthday boys do here." jen explains.

"what do you mean noona?" tae asks innocently.

"birthday boys sing their favourite song, as a solo." jen smirks at tae's shocked expression.

the boys laugh at tae's expression as well.
tae turns red and ruffles his hair.

"now, what song?" jen asks.

"um...can i sing an english song?" tae asks.

"sure." jen replies.

"um...someone like you i guess?" tae answers.

"alright, we'll get the audio ready for you and whenever you're ready, give the signal."

tae nods and takes a deep breath.
he fixes his headphones and exhales.
he smiles at his members and nods at Jen.

I heard that you're settled down

That you found a girl and you're married now.

I heard that your dreams came true.

Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you.

it was silence when tae started to sing.
the boys were once again in awe at their new member's abilities.

Old friend, why are you so shy?

Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light.

jen and the rest of her crew were in shock.
at how beautiful and soothing his voice was.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.

his voice was so deep yet so perfect.
deep, velvety and mesmerising.

I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded

That for me it isn't over.

that dip in his voice just brought everyone into a trance.
it felt as if he had lured them into his soul.

Never mind, I'll find someone like you

I wish nothing but the best for you too

the amazing high part of his voice were also shocking.
how can someone that looks so innocent and fluffy have a voice of satan and still reach the high notes like an angel?
is that fucking possible?

tae drags his voice as he ends and he opens his eyes, not knowing they were closed.
all he sees are his members, his manager and jen staring at him in shock and in awe.

tae blushes and bites his lips.
jen coughs and smiles beautifully.

"that was mesmerising. great job taehyung, happy birthday." jen smiles.

the boys get back to their dorm and immediately plop down onto the couch.
they were buzzing about tae's solo singing.
although it was short, it was beautiful.

"that was amazing baby, i'm so proud." yoongi smiles kissing tae's nose.

"that you hyungie." tae giggles.

"enough is this cheesy shit, tickle monster!" jeongguk shouts and jumps on tae.

jimin and hoseok join in and they trio begin to tickle tae's sides.
tae's giggles and squeals fills the dorm and echoes throughout the dorm.
smiles on all their faces seeing their new member in happiness.

but is he really happy?
