Part 41

Khushi was searching here and there as she didn't find Aashi because their house looked unusually so silent. She saw Arnav sitting in the living room alone. Aashi must have come from school by now but where is she?

Arnav: Khushi, would you like to get fresh or going to have coffee?

Khushi: Where is Aashi?

Arnav: She is not here.

Khushi: What that mean?

Arnav: I sent her with NK to Chachi's house.

Khushi: Offoo Arnav, What have you done? Tomorrow is Karwa Chauth. She will tease Mami and Lavanya by eating something in front of them like she always does with me.

Arnav(chuckled): PK will give her company. So don't worry he will keep her busy.

Khushi: My God, what do you think about them? They are not only good partners in-game but also in crime. They irritate people like hell. Why did you send her there Arnav? Poor Mamiji, she is also bad in controlling her mouth like me. She said feeling sad.

Arnav: She went with her shuttle kit. There will be a small shuttle tournament in PK's sports club tomorrow. It will get finished only in the late evening. She will stay at Chachi's place and return back here over morrow. So be cool. Go and get fresh. I prepared dinner and also bought some fruits and snacks to fill your stomach. He chuckled.

Khushi blocked his way. Arnav scrunched his eyebrows.

Khushi: Tell me the real reason that why did you send Aashi?

Arnav: Then how can I stop her from teasing you? It's really embarrassing when she eats in front of you relishing. She is very tough to handle sometimes.

Arnav had gone too far to protect his wife from his daughter, seriously. He could read the turmoil she was undergoing. He smiled at her, encircling his arms around her.

Khushi: I used to it Arnav.

Arnav: But I can't tolerate anyone tease my wife.

Khushi: Is Aashi "anyone"?

Arnav: In between us.

Khushi: Arrogant Singh Raizada.

Arnav(smirking): Thank you for your compliment

Khushi clutched his collar unknowingly.

Khushi: Let me get fresh.

Arnav: Why I'm thinking you want to say something?

Nextday (Karwa chauth)

This is the first karwa Chauth they performed without Aashi, of course peacefully. After making everything ready, Khushi went to get changed.

Actually Khushi finished everything much before unlike usual, because of Aashi's absence. She kept on troubling Khushi by chasing her every year. But today, time is not passing for Khushi. It seemed a very long day.

As usual, Khushi was waiting for the MOON to break her fast in the garden area. As usual, her husband lost his mind in her Red saree. She always looks great in RED, in his favorite color. Arnav smiled seeing her craving for food.

Arnav: Is it necessary to be starving?

Khushi: Then? What if I miss you in my next birth? And I want you to live long so that we will live relishing our life as much as possible in this birth itself.

Arnav: Who is going to leave you? I don't believe in rebirth. If it's true then I will come looking for you no matter where you will be.

Khushi hugged him and whispered,

Khushi: I love you so much Arnav.

Arnav: No matter how many times I have heard it from you, still I want to hear it again and again.

Khushi( nodding yes): So true. (pause) Do you know, if Aashi is here then I wouldn't have felt this much hungry because she irritates me all the time? Now see, entire house looks silent and gives me weird feel.

Arnav: I will help you to forget your hunger.

Arnav scooped her in his arms and headed to the swing which took a special place in their life. Arnav sat on it taking Khushi on his lap. He slides his hand around her waist.

Khushi clutched the swing chains and Arnav pushed the swing by his toes. Arnav's arms became tight around her.

They were so close. There was no gap between them even for air to enter. Arnav stroked her ear lobe by his lips making her forget her hunger. They started swinging... Khushi turned towards him. She touched his lips with her index finger. Arnav slammed his lips on her's. The swing stopped but they didn't. They were not ready to miss any chance to relish their life.

Some things never get bored. Spending time with our beloved ones is one of those. "Love" makes people get bounded with each other. Our Arshi are perfect example of true love. They will never get enough of each other.

Arnav saw the MOON appearing. He couldn't keep his Khushi hungry. He blew on her ear lobe. Khushi tilted her head sensing his hot breath. Khushi looked at him questioningly. He turned her head towards the moon.

 She smiled and about to run from there. Arnav stopped her and carried her to the spot where Khushi made arrangements to do pooja.

Khushi saw the Moon through the sieve and then Arnav. Arnav broke Khushi's fast by feeding water. She bent down to touch his feet. Arnav tried to stop her from doing that but Khushi touched his feet before he stopped her. Arnav rolled his eyes. Khushi chuckled at his expression.

Arnav: Come and eat something.

Khushi nodded yes. They received the call from NK's number.

Arnav: Hello...

Aashi: Dad.... I won the match.

Arnav: Wow... Congrats...

Aashi: Thank you, dad. Where is Mom?

Arnav: Wait. he passed the phone to Khushi.

Aashi: Mom, I won the match.

Khushi: That's great. My baby is a supergirl.

Aashi: Have you broken your fast?

Khushi: Just now.

Aashi: Seems like, you have done that without my disturbance?

Khushi: Nooo I miss you, baby.

Aashi: Mom, don't lie. You won't miss me until Dad is beside you.

Khushi(dropping her jaw): won't you believe me? then ask your Dad.

Arnav raised his brows.

Khushi(giving the phone back): She isn't believing my words that I missed her.

Arnav kept the phone on his ears.

Arnav: Yes you are right. Your mom didn't miss you. He chuckled.

Khushi mouth went wide open.

Aashi: Dad, stop flaunting. I just teased her, I know you both.

Arnav: Ohh really? What do you know?

Aashi: Mom is such a sweetheart. She would have missed me. She is not like you.

Arnav: you became so intelligent.

Aashi: After all, I'm a daughter of Khushi Singh Raizada.

Arnav: you are coming tomorrow right?

Aashi: No Dad. I will come over morrow.

Arnav: But why?

Aashi: Let me enjoy my weekend here dad. (whispering) You too enjoy with you darling.

Arnav: you became naughty these days.

Aashi: After all, I'm a daughter of Arnav Singh Raizada.

Arnav laughed wholeheartedly. He cut the call while planning about the next two days to enjoy with his wife... wholly.
