part 2

Part 2

Arnav received the book "Integration in Mathematical Education" in three days. He started going through it. Math was his ALIDE subject in college. Though he was not interested in math like business, he always scored good marks in Math as well. That book helped him to recall his college memories. He smiled thinking those unforgettable days.

That's when he saw the same girl was stopping her scooty in front of his shop. She was in saree today. Light blue silk cotton saree with dark blue blouse. That blouse color was very much adamant in HIGHLIGHTING her fair skin. She tides her hair in to bun and a baby orange button rose on its side. A bunch of hair was caressing her forehead and it made her extra stunning. She was not less than a DOLL which was standing outside of the saree shop. He thoughts.

Arnav hides the book in his table locker hurriedly. He opened the file and started doing some calculations in his calculator.

Girl: Hi. (She looks hurry.)

Arnav(lifting his head): yah...

Girl: Do you remember? I asked for a book?

"Remember?" He could remember only when he forgets. There was no such a scene here.

Arnav: Yah. but I didn't receive the book yet. (He lied.)

Girl: Oh. Ok than. Thank you. She looked at her wristwatch which was exactly fit in her wrist with black staph.

She rushed outside hurriedly towards her scooty and started it. Next second she vanished from his sight.

Arnav surprised about his wired action towards this girl. He couldn't come to the conclusion why he hid the book. It was simple. He wanted to see her again. It was the only best chance to make it possible. But why he wants to see her again? He has no acute reply.

Today she looks totally opposite to her previous look. Saree shows her totally different still she looks modern.

Could she be a student? He was enough curiosity to know about her. As usual, he voluntarily shrugged off his thoughts and again took out the book and started referring it.

As Arnav expected, she didn't come to collect the book for the next day. She might have been busy. He gave himself an excuse.

Next day

It was Sunday. Arnav was getting ready to meet his chachaji Manohar Raizada who was living in out strike of Delhi. Mamorama Raizada, his wife and Nand Kishore Raizada his only son. Manohar was Arnav's father Mr. Arvind Raizada's brother. Though Arnav's patents expired in car accident, Arnav was very concern about their chachaji's family so did they. He liked to spend his leisure time with them.

His landline called him to lift by ringing. He took the receiver while tucking his shirt. He rooted hearing a sweet girl voice and somehow he could guess whose voice was that. She might have got the number from the shop card.

Girl: Hi.

Arnav: who is speaking? He asked her, expecting her to tell her name.

Girl: you have my order. "Integration in Mathematical Education". You asked me to collect it yesterday. Sorry, I can't make it so.

Arnav: It's ok. You can collect it by tomorrow.

Girl: Is today a holiday? I have some work in that area so that I called you. Ok than I will come tomorrow evening. Bye. She cut the call without saying her name. Damn.

It was hard for Arnav that he couldn't make it possible to meet her today. So what? she will come tomorrow evening. He consoled his own self and started his bike.

As usual, he spent quality time with Raizadas. Manorama prepared his favorite food. Should say whatever she prepared was his favorite. He missed homemade food after his parent's demise. So he liked everything which was prepared by Manorama and she knew that.

It was time to leave. He should go before its getting dark. But his bike which NK's friend borrowed from him not returned yet. He asked it for taking his sister to the Hospital. As NK's bike was punctured Arnav himself offered his bike because it was a Hospital issue.

After half an hour, he got his bike and bid bye to them and started towards Delhi. It was ecstatic to ride in the evening highways. Arnav always relishes his every moment of his life, all alone. He felt a jerk and it made him conscious. His bike stopped that's when he noticed the petrol indicator which shows empty. He sighed in frustration. Nk's friend would not have been checked it when he returned it back.

He knew there was no petrol bunk for two kilo meters. He started rolling his bike without any option left. Somewhat five minutes he continued that action. Suddenly a scooty crossed him and blocked his way. Arnav couldn't believe his own eyes. The same girl smiled at him while removing her helmet. Today also she is in PINK.

Girl: Hi.

Arnav: Hi.

Girl: Petrol?

Arnav nodded yes. She opened her scooty's dickey and took out a bottle which had petrol in it.

Girl: Take it. You can fill the tank in the next bunk. Until then it's enough to reach.

Arnav: Thank you. He poured it in his bike tank.

He removed his wallet and forwarded a hundred rupees note to her. She clenched her jaw while keeping her hands in her waist. He couldn't ignore thinking that she looks damn cute while doing that.

Girl: Give my petrol back and buy it from someone. I'm not a petrol seller. Mind it.

Arnav smiled at her and so did she. She forwarded her hand to shake.

Girl: I'm KHUSHI.

Arnav was stuck hearing her name. Finally. She is KHUSHI. He was KHUSHI(happy) knowing her name. He looked at her who gesture him to respond her by her eyes looking at her forwarded hand. He gently clutched her hand and shook. Her palm was not less than a cotton roll. He thought.

Khushi: Do you know if anyone says their name then you too should say yours. She said smilingly.

Arnav: Arnav. Arnav Singh Raizada.

Khushi: Nice name.

They started moving slowly while talking.

Arnav: where are you coming from?

Khushi: I went to meet my friend. Sunday is my day. Totally free. I can do anything what I want.

Arnav didn't ask why. She continues..

Khushi: Because I'm busy for full week. So.

Now, Arnav wanted to ask her "are you studying?"

Khushi: I have only Sundays to do my own task. (pause) Won't you ask what I'm doing? (Arnav smiled at her) I'm a teacher in Laxmi Narayan school.

Arnav's eyes went wide open. It is one of the best school in Delhi. He thought that she should be a student. If she is a teacher in that school then she must be a GENIUS. After that Arnav no more like to keep his silence.

Arnav: Teacher?

Khushi: yah.

Arnav: Math teacher?

Khushi(excitedly): good guess.

Arnav: Which class? Twelve grade?

Khushi: Wow how do you know?

Arnav: "Integration in mathematical education".

Khushi: yah you guessed is right.

By now they reached the nearby Petrol bunk. Khushi stopped at the entrance and Arnav went inside to fill the tank. He turned his rearview mirror to her directly to check that Khushi was there or left. But to his surprise, she was waiting for him.

A satisfied smile adorned his face and he started his bike. He reached her and they continued riding while talking.

Khushi: I'm little talkative.

Arnav: Little?

Khushi(dropping her jaw): A lot?

Arnav(nodding yes): Then who can recite everything to the stranger like me?

Khushi: What to do until reaching Delhi except talking?

Arnav: Do you know this route is not safe?

Khushi: That's why I'm back home before it's getting dark.

Arnav: Today is Sunday. It's not recommendable for girls, and definitely not alone.

Khushi: It's so long I met my friend so I went today.

Arnav: Next time take someone with you.

Khushi: My brother is always busy so did my father. What can I do then? Ok tell me what are you doing here?

Arnav: I went to meet my Chachaji's family.

Khushi: Next time I'm joining with you when you go to your chachaji's home. Ok?

Arnav: It's not good to trust anyone that easily.

Khushi: you mean, I shouldn't trust you too?

Arnav nodded yes.

Khushi: Good advise Mr. Arnav. I will keep it in my mind.

By then they reached Delhi.

Khushi: ok Arnav. See you tomorrow evening at your shop. Bye.

Arnav: Bye.

She took the left turn by accelerating her scooty. Arnav stood there until she disappears from his eyes.

To be continue.....
