Okay, this is going to get slightly serious, so warning you now.

Okay, this article freaking infuriated me. Not really the article itself, but what it was about. Jean de Dieu Momo, a fucking GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL in Cameroon, on national FUCKING TELEVISION, says, and I quote: "In Germany, there was a people who were very rich and who had all the economic levers, it was the Jews. They were so arrogant that the German people felt a little frustrated. Then one day came to power a certain Hitler, who put these people in gas chambers. Educated people like Mr. Kamto need to know where they bring their people." He fucking rationalised the persecution and eventual GENOCIDE of Jews, Slavs, Poles, homosexuals, Soviets and Soviet POWs, Romanis, Spanish Republicans, disabled people, and Communists. My only words for this are: that fucking bitch.

As a Jewish person, this enraged me. Actually, as a PERSON this enraged me. The holocaust demolished Jewish populations, which still have not recovered today. The holocaust perpetrated a continuous culture of anti-semitism that allowed the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans, and the persecution of Jews by Roman emperor Constantine the Great( wow Romans really hated Jewish people). This nonchalant attitude towards this tragedy, let alone blaming Jews for it, really damages the work towards religious peace we have been working towards for decades. So, fuck the victim blaming, fuck the anti-semitism, fuck the ignorance.

 This becomes even more outrageous when you realize Momo is Bamilike, a racial group in Cameroon, which have also been subjected to genocide. Really, bruh?  Between 100,000 and 400,000 Bamilike were killed by France in France's Secret War. So, this feels like some hypocrisy brewing, since I doubt Momo would say the same about the genocide of the Bamileke.

The worst part about this whole situation is this sentiment is being used to exile Anglophone(Cameroonians who speak English) communities. 500,000 people have been displaced after an Anglophone secessionist movement, which is horrible. I want to warn people like Momo and other government officials, if you think it will marginalize an already marginalized group, DON'T FUCKING SAY IT! Oh my Loki, what a concept!

I will end this with an apology for being so aggressive, I am just passionate about this topic.
