Chapter 9
⚠️IF YOU ARE TRIGGERED BY BLOOD OR VIOLENCE, DO NOT READ THIS CHAPTER⚠️
(Third Person POV)
He had finally seen her. She was walking across the street in the blizzard, her thin, furry coat tightly wrapped around her. It was about time he received appreciation for all the hard work he did. For all the times he put his life in danger. For the number of lashes, he received for not finding her. One last move and he'd get what he wanted.
He started running towards her, greed and desire overpowering his pale face. This was his last chance; if he returned without the girl, he would die for sure. He started closing in towards her. A few more metres, he thought as he forced his lethargic, narcotic addicted body to fight with the wind and snow. When he finally reached her, he threw his arms on the unsuspecting girl, one holding both her hands together and the other cupping her mouth to muffle her screams. He started dragging her towards the alley nearby, but she was not weak. She was strong enough to stay firm on the ground, but Choi Jungwoo's strength was too much for her to break free from his grip.
"HELP!" she screamed as soon as he let go of her mouth, but most of her voice was drowned by the howling wind.
"No one's gonna help you," Jungwoo said with a smirk as he reached into his pocket.
"LEAVE ME!" the girl yelled again and attempted to break free from Jungwoo's grip, but her effort was in vain. He was too strong for her.
"Shut up or you'll regret it," Jungwoo hissed as he pointed a gun at the girl, who fell silent at once. "Follow me," he ordered and she obeyed him. He half dragged the helpless girl into the alley before tying her hands together.
"W-Who are you? What d-do you want?" the girl helplessly sobbed.
"You'll see," he smirked and pulled out a tiny aerosol can the size of a lip balm. The confused girl looked at it with scared eyes before he sprayed it right into her face and she fainted.
"I finally got you, Kang Jinhee," he told the unconscious body in triumph.

"TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!" Kang Jihoon yelled and slapped Chanyoung for the hundredth time.
"I'll . . . never . . . tell . . . you," she mumbled slowly as she tried to breathe.
"WHY?" he yelled and got up, kicking the chair he was sitting in. "WHY WON'T YOU TELL ME? I TOLD YOU THAT I WON'T KILL HER!"
"I know what you want from her, Kang Jihoon," Chanyoung mumbled. "I know why you're after my daughter. I will never let her commit this sin."
"She is my daughter as well and I have the right to decide what I do with her," he growled.
"Well, guess what," Chanyoung said as wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, "I have more right to decide what she does since you never even cared to check whether she was alive."
"JUST TELL ME WHERE YOU HID HER WOMAN!" he howled and shook her vigorously.
"No," she replied with a smile and Jihoon yelled in rage. "You'll never find-"
"BOSS!" Jungwoo yelled and kicked the door open. "I've found her!" he said is triumph as he dragged the girl into the room.
"Y-You found her?" Jihoon stuttered and staggered towards the girl, forgetting all about Chanyoung.
"Yes, boss. All by myself," Jungwoo replied in glee.
"Is it really her?" Jihoon asked as he harshly grabbed the girl's hair and examined her face.
"Why don't we confirm using her boss?" Jungwoo pointed towards Chanyoung.
"She'll lie through her teeth. Let's wait until this girl's conscious."
As the girl slowly opened her eyes, she knew that she was in deep trouble. The walls were in the colour of dark, murky green and it was an ugly contrast against the grey concrete floor. There was a tiny window and barely any light penetrated through it. She nearly vomited when she saw traces of blood on the floor.
She tried to rub her eyes and make sure that she was not hallucinating, but her hands were tied behind her back. Her legs were tied together tightly with a thin piece of rope, cutting through her flesh at her ankles, feeling warm and wet with blood. The girl looked around for ways to get out, like the person who kidnapped her leaving the door open by accident. But there was no way out. She was truly trapped.
Somewhere in that room, she heard a cough. Her head zoomed towards the direction of the cough and she saw a silhouette of someone. At least I'm not alone, she thought. As she crawled towards that person, the concrete scraped her knees over and over again in the same spot, but she didn't care. She wanted to tell that person that she was there as well. She wanted to tell them that they weren't alone. That they could endure this together.
At last, after tremendous effort, the girl got there. There was another lady, older than her, tied up to a pole with her head hung low.
"Hello?" the girl whispered and the lady looked up.
"M-M-Minseo?" she stuttered in shock.
"Omma!?"
