Chapter 7
(Third Person POV)
Wrapped in scarfs and jumpers from head to toe, Jinhee was standing in front of the new cafe that opened just yesterday. The cold wind sent her hair flying in all directions and the slight snow made it impossible to see her petite figure. People would've considered her as a crazy woman for standing outside in the cold, but no one dared to set their foot outside their house. They stayed in their warm, cozy little houses, perhaps enjoying a cup of hot chocolate or soup, wrapped in warm blankets to keep themselves warm. How would they know that this 'crazy' woman's house was cold enough to be used as a ginormous freezer?
Jinhee stared at the small yet cozy looking cafe, wondering whether she should go in. A wide range of cupcakes, cookies and slices of cake were on display, each looking like a piece of art. Tiny flowers made out of sugar were carefully placed on the frosting of the cupcakes, looking so delicate that is seemed as if even staring at them for too long was enough to damage them. On the other side, there were grilled sandwiches with the cheese dripping on the edge, making Jinhee's mouth water. The warm light and the sight of food made Jinhee feel more welcomed than her own house. She desperately wanted to escape the cold and go into the cafe, but she held on her thoughts. What if this was her father? The person who desperately wanted to find her?
She glanced at the poster on the wall which said: "Staff needed." Did he perhaps know where she lived and that she needed a job? Or is this just a harmless cafe? She stood there, debating in her head whether go inside or not. The wind grew stronger and it seemed to convince Jinhee to go inside.
A jingle from the bell indicated her presence as she pushed the door opened. The cafe instantly warmed her up and her cheeks turned to a shade of pale pink. She eyed the sandwiches that her stomach was yearning for with longing eyes.
"Hello! What do you want today?" a deep yet cheerful voice brought Jinhee back to earth. She turned around to see a man wearing an apron.
"Huh? Oh, um . . . I came here for a job," she nervously replied.
"That's great! What's your name?" he asked her.
"Jinhee. Kang Jinhee."
"Nice to meet you Jinhee. My name is Kim Taehyung."
A/N: I just felt like writing a descriptive chapter. Also, the cupcake in the picture looks so fricking delicious.
